Looking for a version of Firefox mobile compatible with Samsung galaxy precedent

What OS do you have?
Unfortunately the Firefox App is not working properly with 2.1 systems. Here are the bugs to follow their statuses: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?order=Importance;list_id=2400841;short_desc=2.1;query_format=advanced;short_desc_type=allwordssubstr;product=Fennec;product=Fennec%20Native

Is there a version of Murdoch Blocker that is compatible with FIrefox 26.0?

When add-ons haven't been updated for a very long time (in this case, over 2 years), Firefox might assume they are obsolete...
If you check the Add-ons page, is it possible to re-enable the extension? Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Note that disabled extensions cluster at the bottom.
The range of compatible Firefox versions is stored inside the extension and can be updated by hand-editing. This is a slightly messy operation that doesn't always work, but in brief, the extension format is basically a ZIP archive, so you extract the install.rdf file from the archive, update the maximum compatible version to something higher, then replace the original install.rdf with the updated file.

  • Download page says current version of Firefox not compatible with my OS. Am running Mac OS X 10.5.8

Was running Firefox fine, then started getting some bugs, so deleted program and decided to start with fresh download. Download page says my OS is not compatible, but chart says it should be.

Yes, unfortunately Firefox 4 and later require the Intel processor architecture. The error message apparently doesn't distinguish between OS version and processor.
There is a project to make these recent versions of Firefox compatible with PPC. You can read about it here:

  • What version of Firefox is compatible with Mac OS 10.6.8?

I get e-mail through gmail. My gmail now says that my Safari browser is unsupported, I can't update my Safari beyond what it already is (5.1.10). Is there a Mozilla Firefox that I can install that is compatible with my MacBook OS 10.6.8 and that will solve this problem with gmail? Appreciate any help!

  • Which version of Firefox is compatible with Selenium?

I'm trying to run automated Python tests from the cmd prompt. Every time I try, I get an error message stating "Failed to start new browser session: Error while launching browser." I've updated everything - Java version 1.7.0_25, selenium library 2.9.1... I've installed older versions of Firefox back to 14.0, and nothing works. I need some help, and I don't understand any of the solutions I find online. I don't write the tests myself - we outsource to a programmer who writes everything to Github, I pull the files and run the tests.
I got a new computer - went from Windows XP to 7. Everything worked on the old computer, but I couldn't upgrade from Firefox 3.6 without the tests failing. Nothing works on the new computer, and I don't believe I should have to revert back to version 3.6 to get the tests to run.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

I already have the Selenium web driver installed, and the most recent version of java. I had to go back to 3.6, and worked my way up from there. Version 12.0 is the most recent version that works for me.

  • New version of firefox not compatible with my OS? what are the risks?

    Hello,
When I was prompted to update my firefox browser, I was subsequently told my Macbook OS 10.5.8 didn't support the new firefox and that I would therefore be subject to cyber attacks from now on, or something similar to that. I don't actually remember the exact phrasing. It did sound ominous. What do you suggest I do? Can I keep on using the outdated version of Firefox that I currently have? or should I switch to a different browser altogether?
    Dokolo

You could turn on the Mac OS firewall, and get an antivirus. I am running Firefox 3.6.28 on my laptop with Mac OS 10.4.11, and have not run into any problems so far, being behind a router, with the firewall on and with an antivirus installed.

  • What version of Firefox is compatible with Windows XP SP2

I understand this is a free download?

All versions of Firefox work on Windows XP. You need to check your hardware specifications.

    * Firefox 3.6 - https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/3.6/system-requirements/

  • Is Photoshop Touch compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note?

This is THE app I've been waiting for!
And first on Android - very chuffed, because I got my 1st Android phone days ago - the Galaxy Samsung Note - the size of which makes it super ideal for this kind of app!
However, it says on Android Market that Adobe Photoshop Touch is not compatible with this phone.
Can someone please confirm this? Or can Adobe let us know when it will be compatible?
    Thanks !

    Hi David,
I just checked it out: Photoshop Touch is still unavailable on GooglePlay-Store; it still tells me that my Galaxy Note GT-N7000 is not compatible.
    But:
Amazon App Store allows to download Photoshop Touch on Galaxy Note GT-N7000 yet !!! I bought PS Touch in this moment    I AM SOOOOOO HAPPYY !!!!
Definitely creating a 1920x1080 px layer and brushing on it, is not that fast as it is on my Mac ... but that was not the point It really works fine, althought the display is a little bit small for that stuff
Biggest thanks for the Galaxy Note support   and hate on GooglePlay
If anyone from Germany has problems putting Amazon App Store to German, contact me. I was fighting against some issues for more than 1 and a half hour Oo
So good night everbody and tomorrow will be a wonderful photoshopping day
PS: Just found some issues ... for example the preferences. If you clikc on preferences, there are some values to change (for example under "stylus"), but there is no text, what this value changes

  • How can I check whether new versions of Firefox are compatible with my add-ons? I specifically need to know this regarding Zotero as I would very much hate to loose my reference data base when changing from one version of Firefox to the next ...

Is there an add-on that can help me with this? Or do I just install the new version and hope for the best?

Firefox 9.0.1 is a real old version and is no longer supported - Firefox 24.0 is the current release version.
Open the Add-0ns manager tab and click on '''More''' for each extension that you have installed. Near the bottom of each "More" there should be a link that will take you to the download page where you can verify compatibility.
Or use this extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/is-it-compatible/ - but I'm not sure how well it will work when you are so many versions 'behind the curve'.

  • Why is the newest version of Firefox not compatible with Java ? All my java extensions are disabled !

I can't be entirely certain of the origin of this issue, but I've tried everything I can think of and the only thing I can nail down is that Firefox 6.0.1 is incompatible with Java. All of my extensions have been disabled without the option of even trying to enable them.
Now for the ACTUAL problem...this affect my Google/GMAIL experience and I use GMAIL for my business! The calendar used to display various mailboxes with different colours to identify different types of individuals and the Google Menu Bar on their homepage is not black, like it should be, it is TRANSPARENT with blue lettering. I can read the menu bar just fine, but the GMAIL thing is kind of important to my business!
I've tried the GMAIL forums to no avail...I've tried to uninstall Java [it wouldn't...just crashed and said there was an error...]. I even re-installed Java, but nothing changed!
I have also tried other browsers and they do the same thing, so I can't just pin it on Firefox, but I am hoping that someone here will have a good, working solution for me.
    Thanks,
    Dave

OK, I'll try removing all of the extensions but that doesn't explain why my GMAIL and various other JAVA related [I'm assuming] things are not displaying properly. I even went as far as to replace my video card and download the most up to date drivers...still no change, but I will try removing all of the disabled extensions.
Thanks and if anyone has any other ideas I'd love to hear them
    Dave

  • Why isn't Samsung Galaxy Precedent listed on either the compatible or incompatible lists?

I've looked closely at both lists. Also is there any hope that Firefox will become available for Galaxy Precedent?

The "Samsung Galaxy Prevail" aka Samsung Galaxy Precedent unfortunately is using a older ARMv6 type of cpu as the mobile Firefox needs ARMv7 type as one of the main requirements.
They did have experimental ARMv6 in the past till early last year (slower, larger and unstable) and have since started looking into experimental ARMv6 builds again. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.platforms.mobile/EcmL9mTAsM8/discussion
They do have a compatible and not compatible device list at

  • What version of Firefox is compatible w Mac OS 10.4.11 (which is highest possible for my G4)?

I was recently prompted to update firefox and did so. Up came a message saying newest Firefox is not compatible w my mac OS. I am not certain exactly which version, it was the one that auto-installed -- or tried to.
Help, please, by suggesting which OS is highest I can use on my Mac G4 and which version of Firefox is compatible w that (or a higher possible) OS.
    Thanks!
PS At this time I cannot afford a new mac

Firefox 3.6.x is the last available from Mozilla for PPC Macs. <br />
    For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4+ versions, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 . <br />

  • I have a G4 Powerbook with Tiger OS, is there a version of Firefox that I can install and get the benefits of using it.

My computer is a Powerbook G4 is there a version of Firefox Software that will work?

Assuming the battery is not working, I know of no other way to access the data without ripping open the PowerBook. Third-party adaptors are still available and the price is much less than Apple used to charge:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/APLPBI65W/
The other option is, as I hinted above, to open up the PowerBook and extract the hard drive. Once out of the powerbook you use a device like this:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/U3NVSPATA/
It allows you to attach the bare drive from the PB to a USB port on teh MacBook Pro. The drive will appear on the MBPs desktop just as if it were and external drive in an enclosure.

  • What versions of firefox are compatible if any with windows 8?

every version of firefox i try to install crashes which versions if any are compatible with windows 8?

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
#Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
#In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
#From that explorer window, double-click on the ''Mozilla'' folder, then double-click on ''Firefox'' and then on ''Crash reports''. Double-click on ''submitted''.
#Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to ''View'' > ''Arrange Icons by'' > ''Modified'' to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
#Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
#Paste each ID with '''bp-''' into the reply window on the forums.
    Thanks in advance!

  • I need version 3. 6.18 back as version 4 is not compatible with the electronic filing system of the U. S. Bankrutpcy Court.

I'm copying the message I received from the U. S. Bankruptcy Court:
ECF users are advised NOT TO UPGRADE to version 4.x or 5.x of the Firefox browser.
The Firefox browser versions 4.x and 5.x are not fully compatible with the court's ECF system. Several issues involving electronic filing have been reported. Furthermore, the "View Labels" button from the Creditor Mailing Matrix is not functional when using the upgrade. The recommended version of Firefox for use with ECF is 3.6.18, and the recommended version of Internet Explorer is either 7.x or 8.x.
If you have any questions, please contact the ECF Help Desk at 503-326-1510, 541-431-4005 or 866-777-0442.
I need to get version 3.6.18 back.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.
For details of how to find your profile folder see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
3.6.17 is the latest release version, 3.6.18 is due out on June 21st.
