Is there a version of Safari or Firefox that wil run verizon on a 10.4.11 OSX operating system? The new downloads are incompatible.
I am having problems with Verizon fios email running on the web browsers that are availble for download on this OS. Firefox inidicates that I need a new download, but the new download doesn't run on this OS, and safari continues to try to load the login screen but gets 'stuck' in that state. Any advice would be appreciated.
Have you taken a look at Verizon fios email help on their website? have you called their tech support?
Have you installed all the latest plugins for your browser?

When first using the new download I could find all my old saved pages and frequently used tabs. Now the screen is only showing firefox without the tabs at the top or the firefox drop down box.
Uhhhhh... Thank GOD... Got all of my files.
Spent some time on the phone with Apple Care... who was great to deal with but actually... not as helpful as I was hoping. It was suggested that I try DiskWarrior 4 to try to recover the files. $108 later, I had no files.
More calls with Apple Care and they were pretty sure that everything was gone since once the External drive was installed, like a moron, I let TimeMachine go ahead and back up my new MacBook... so it overwrote who knows how many gig that was my entire MacBook.
I wasn't giving up so I called Maxtor, the manufacturer of the external drive itself. They suggested file recovery software from I365... which is also a Seagate company (the makers of the drive). The suggested I simply use their demo because the demo version would find the files. If it found them, I could buy the software to restore them.
It found them! Another $129 after and I was able to restore all of them back to my old PC laptop.
NOW, I just need to figure out how to get the 50gig of HD video files off of my old laptop now and into my Mac and IMovie so I can actually make some DVDs out of them!
I get that Macs and PCs are different formats but I think it is ridiculous that formatting still means basically just wiping out or at least treating massive lots of old data as if it isn't there. There's gotta be a better way to do that. -

Not possible. You need to update to v10.6.8
Click your Apple menu > Software Update
Or update using the this download > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo

I need to install Mozella Firefox 2.0 to fill out a form that is not supported to input info from the newer version that is installed on my PC. Do I need to delete the newer version before using the older version? If so, how do I delete the new version and install the older version?
If you just need it for one site you can use the portable version of Firefox 2 instead. You can install the portable version on a USB key, or if one is not available choose the custom install and install it somewhere on your hard drive. The portable version will not interfere with your current version of Firefox. You can get the portable version from http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable - the link for Firefox 2.0.0.20 is near the bottom of that page.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
(2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Downloaded files from Firefox, opens temporary file instead of the new downloaded file?
I have downloaded the same (but updated over time) file from dropbox many time. But when i try to download the updated version, Ecxel opens a temporary file. I know this, because i'm sure the file has been updated since last download, and when i download the file in another browser, i shows the file, with the new changes.
Only Firefox seems to have the problem. How do i force Firefox to use the new download, and not a temporary file?

Try downloading the trial. It ought to detect that you have a 64-bit system.
You aren't using Vista, are you? PSE 13 requires at least win 7 and I think a few folks with vista have gotten a similar error message on trying to install it. -

You need to check iCloud to see if they are actually there. Go to iCloud.com and sign in and then look at your Contacts there to see if the old ones are still showing on iCloud.
If they are not, then you can either re-enter them while you are on iCloud.com, or you can restore your device from the backup where you saved them:
