I am new to the sight and look forward to participating. I have a project that I’m working on and I would like to ask for your thoughts and direction if you’re willing. I have a few weeks left before completing an electronics program degree and Labview is one of the classes. The project I have chosen is to illustrate the differences between a micro controlled system and Labview controlled environment. I will be acquiring a signal through a ultra sonic distance sensor. The analog signal will be produced after which acquired through a SCB – 68 connector block and converted using the pci-mio-16E. The sensor operates at 40 kHz emitting a 5v pulse (burst) then falling to gnd for a short period followed by a 5v rise and staying high for a period of time waiting for the return of the frequency. This time period represents 3 inches to 27 ft in distance. I would like to interact with this signal through the distance period (portion) and output a string displaying a numeric value of the distance on the front panel obtained from an array built from different periods of the signal. I am not clear on what Labview function offers this type of control. I am hopeful in utilizing a vi or some type of trigger that allows me to build an array produced by some math functions. Any help would be appreciated.

First thank you for your response, I will have an opportunity to make a capture tomorrow in class. I believe I have run across the waveform measurement VI in my searches and am sure it’s a very good choice. The trigger VI you suggest, going by the name, should be my ticket. Would you imagine a delay or decreasing time after the capture, allowing the trigger VI time to respond to an output configuration be required?
If I remember correctly the sampling rate capabilities are 500K samples/ second with 12 bits of resolution and as I say that it seems some of the capabilities rely on the processing speed of the computer. I guess I will kick the tires tomorrow hey. There are 2 class periods remaining to finish our projects @ 2 hrs / class and my anxiety is a bit high. Wish me luck and thank you so much.

The 5D.3 was first supported in ACR 6.7 which you need PSE 10 to use, so there is no plug-in for PSE9 that will allow opening the files from a camera newer than when PSE9 became obsolete.
Besides getting PSE12, assuming it is supported on your current computer—check the specs, you can use the free DNG Converter available from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html
to convert your CR2 files to DNG files that are compatible with older versions of ACR. Be sure to set your DNGC compatibility settings to a version old enough to be openable with PSE 10’s ACR.
As far as whether the OP is serious, it doesn’t hurt to ask the question before spending money on something you didn’t need.

Now I am in the process of testing several new add-ons to fix this problem, and I am getting a very different (and even more unsatisfying) result illustrated in the attached image -- so I realize the problem may now be compounded by one or more of the new add-ons.
(See the attached image that illustrates what happens now when I click on the MyDocs URL after is has been added to my Bookmarks tree.)

The device has an 8GB drive for caching streamed meida, a small portion of that is used to temporarily store photos for the screensaver. It may vary depending on resolution etc but it seems to be around 100.

I have already tried downloading the drivers from Epson as per one person's suggestions, but the dialog box isn't anything like what was suggested--the choices in the box weren't the same for the most part. I don't want to lock up the computer or disable the printer for normal printing, but I have a lot of old negatives that I would love to have prints from.

I am using the latest software from Epson for Mac OS 10.10.2 that I downloaded last week. I seem to remember that the older software (we're talking 6-8 years ago) had to option to scan slides or negatives and would convert the results into positives via the scanner. I don't like the most recent scanning software because it jumps right into the scan before giving you a chance to change the options. It uses the selected options from the previous scan which are sometimes right, sometimes wrong. Thanks for your reply to my question!

if i run my pc3200 (400mhz) ram at 333mhz in the bios, performance mode doesnt work. no matter if it is on SLOW,TURBO,FAST,ULTRA, i get the same perfomance marks in programs. cpuz might say its enabled...but it really not. my sandra scores stay the same. when running 1:1 my performance modes work perfectly. any bios version out there that will allow this?

Isn't performance mode (PAT, MAT, HyperPath or whatever) tied to the 1:1 synchronous clock operation?

I own a pair of Audio-Technica MTH-50 headphones that sound great with the iPhone. The one problem is that the input is large, and needs to fit flush against the phone. I like to have my phone in a case, so I can't really use the headphones unless I'm willing to leave my phone unprotected.
One of the suggestions I've received about getting around this is a simple headphone adapter, which would plug in to the top of the phone, then allow me to plug my phones in above the case.
This seems impractical, as I don't think the trade-off is worth it. I wouldn't, however, mind it if I could add an extra feature. So is there a headphone adaptor/extender out there includes a remote for basic volume / play / track functions? If so, does anyone have experience with them to recommend a certain model? Or are they crummy enough that it's not worth it?

Need to be able to delete emails (I have an Optonline address) from iphone and ipad during the day, while retaining them on Mac Book Pro to view and file into folders in the evening.
Seemed like I could have my optonline emails forwarded to a Gmail account and just set up the Mac's mail to use my optonline account, while the iPad and iPhone used my Gmail account. That worked, except for one issue - when I sent mail from the iPad or iPhone it would use my Gmail address and then people who used "reply" would have their replies sent back to my Gmail account. I wanted to continue to use my optonline address since I have had this address for many, many years. I saw that Gmail allows you to "send using a different from address", however because optonline is a POP account, they do not support the settings in Gmail and therefore I cannot get my optonline address to be verified by Gmail, meaning my emails continued to be sent from my Gmail address on my iPhone.
I even tried setting up the Gmail account manually (using "Other" in the ipone settings) and putting in a comma with my optonline address in the address field, but still no success.
Next, thought I'd try Yahoo mail - same thing - only sends mail with my Yahoo account.
Then looked into iCloud since I use that for syncing Contacts and Calendars on all 3 devices - same thing - I can only send email using the @me.com address.
Does anyone know of any other mail account that will work with my POP Optonline email address? After 10+ years with this email address, having to announce to my world that I am changing my address (either to Gmail, Yahoo, or the iCloud's @me.com address) is something I really don't want to do.
However, leaving just my optonline account on all 3 devices means I am constantly deleting the same emails on 3 devices everyday, which is also just not an effective use of my time.

Can I set a number field in Acrobat that will allow me to start with Zero?

I know I can do this by making it a text field but to limit people making mistakes of accidentally typing a letter in I was trying to make it number only for example a Mobile number or Account number where there are to be no letters.

The following will allow you to only input numbers and spaces. Set up a Custom Keystroke script which calls this function. And make your field a text field, not a number field.

She is a senor citizen so will need some assistance in the event that it is a download or installation that I can't walk her through by phone. Is there a specific disc that will allow a 2nd burn from iPhoto?

I bought CD-RW discs thinking I would be able to burn from iPhoto to the same disc several times to back up my pictures but that's not the case. Is there an iPhoto setting or a specific disc I need to use in order to do this? Or do I need to wait to burn to a disc until I have enough to fill it? Thank you!

That's not how RW disks work. You're trying to append to the existing data on the disk. RW disks allow you to wipe and reburn on to the disk, not append.
