Is there a Vi for varian or any other leak detectors

i was wondering about a vi for varian helium leak detectors.
I no one has one i was wondering what it would take to right one.
I can control the machine via telnet using comands.
if i give the comand "?leak" it will return "?leak 9.1x10-7".
it is the "9.1x10-7" that i want to be able to put on a graph and save
to a spreedsheet.
Can anybody tell me the best way to do it with labview 5

Leif,
I would suggest reading that string back in and then using any of the string parsing VIs to separate the number from the original string. You can then use a conversion VI to change that number string back to a decimal number. this number then goes to the graph.

Might be hard to find, but long ago there were a couple of Firewire<->SCSI adapters, if you have USB2 those might be available also...

Might be far cheaper to buy an old Mac or even PC with SCSI.

I've downloaded archlinux-2012.12.01-dual.iso and wrote it to USB. I've booted from that USB and set up partititons using command cfdisk.
/dev/sda5 ==> /boot
/dev/sda6 ==> /
/dev/sda7 ==> swap
/dev/sda8 ==> /home
I don't remember if I've created /mnt or if it was already there. I've created two directories: /mnt/boot and /mnt/home as per instructions:

I've mounted /dev/sda6 on /mnt
and now there are no /mnt/boot and /mnt/home under the /mnt
I don't understand what to do now because instructions state that I should create directories /mnt/boot and /mnt/home and mount them but now that I've mounted / on /mnt the /mnt/boot and /mnt/home are not available to mount partitions /dev/sda6 and /dev/sda8

mount /dev/sda6 /mnt
mkdir /mnt/boot
mount /dev/sda5 /mnt/boot
Then do pacstrap etc. Add /home to fstab before you reboot.
Alternatively you can mkdir /mnt/home and mount /sda8 there too, then genfstab will add the entry in fstab for it for you.

you can try - remove and re-install microsoft office
you can try boot in safe mode - hold COMANDE-S at start up until see you are insafe mode then restart normaly and see if you can open word
you can try use font book too detect font conflict / problem
you can try use office database recover / repare program as folow , first quit ALL office application then hold ALT key and launche same time entourage or outlook and and folow software optiion for verify / reconstruct database

Can I set a priority in SCCM 2012 for advertisements or any other ideas to fix my Task sequences?

I have several task sequences that I deploy to lab computers that we re-image 1 or 2 times a year. The task sequences run and install specific software
for that lab after the base image deploys.
The base image is deployed using WDS without SCCM in the mix. It is a setup they we are using because of legacy business processes that just make this easier.
Then after the machine boots up and gets its SCCM policies the task sequences start running to deploy the software.
The issue I am noticing is that I have no control over what runs first and sometimes Windows Updates that are deployed via SCCM run before or in between the task
sequences that I have running. Some installs fail because of the pending Windows Update reboot, which I believe I have gotten around just by checking for it and rebooting before it installs the software. The issue is that the Windows update could
and usually is one of those lovely updates that requires multiple reboots. The second reboot is killing my task sequence.
The issue is I need to somehow force this updates to run after my task sequences or make sure they run first. The only way I can think of this is by having
priorities for the task sequences. I can't just add installing the updates to the task sequence, because the second reboot will kill my whole task sequence there too.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get around this issue? I want the machines to install the Windows updates so I can't just remove them from the collection.

That's definitely the best option to do everything via the task sequence deployment.
Also, there are script available in the community to add or remove a device from a collection, see for example:

Keep in mind that if you want to use a script like that during the task sequence that the device running the task sequence (and by that the script) requires specific rights within ConfigMgr.

I am unable to successfully download updates for Encore or any other CS6 related programs. I get an error code

Whenever I am prompted that there are updates available for downloading for any of the CS6 related programs including Encore, I get the following message.
Encore CS6 update
There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210. Quitting and trying again makes no difference. Is anyone able to help please?

Many of the updates you see are for associated elements that may not be needed (e..g. camera raw files).
For Encore, on PC, the latest version is 6.0.2. On Mac, 6.0.1. If you have that version, you do not need to update.

It does take some time for a movie to download, could it still be downloading ? Also the rental tab is only there when you have rented a movie. If all else fails talk to iTunes support, they have helped me in the past.

In Quicktime Preferences, under advanced, UNcheck Enable Flash, and under Mime settings/Miscellananeous only check Quicktime HTML (QHTM).
In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them).
Now go to Safari Preferences/Security, and tick the boxes under Web Content (all 4 of them).
Lastly open Audio Midi Setup (which you will find in the Utilities Folder of your Applications Folder) and click on Audio Devices. Make sure that both Audio Input and Audio Output, under Format, are set to 44100 Hz.
Important: Now repair permissions and restart.

LV Real-Time is a subset of of LabVIEW that includes functions to allow a developer to interact with the RT platform to devlop down load and monitor the app.
The special functions mentioned above are (to the best of my knowledge) only supported under Pharlap (plus the FP controllers).
It is possible to run LabVIEW on many ddiferent operating systems, but they are not guarenteed to be deterministic.
Pharlap is a true Real-Time operating system.

I endorse the view expressed by Lokesh. Yes, there is no limit to the number of Account Transformation Rules that you can maintain in the Transformation Table. One way to limit this number is to use carefully maintained hierarchies instead of specifying individual accounts in the Rule. However, this is not always possible - but will help limit the number of entries in the Account Transformation Table. To create Cash Flow Satatement, you have to anyway use the Account Transformation Rule and surely this would stretch the number of entries in the table. For a complex requirement, these might extend to a few hundred entries. Performance will be an issue, no doubt.

Until the last year, this server and all the related settings worked fine!
"Enter your yahoo account (user, password etc) then put in: imps.msg.yahoo.com as server/web address."
But now, it always gives me "Login Failed Error". I think Yahoo has changed IM server settings. Please let me know the new working IM settings for Yahoo or any other IM service (like Gmail, Hotmail, etc..)
P.S. My Nokia model is Nokia 2630!

Usually the server is smtp for outgoing & imap for incoming, never heard of imps.
I have for incoming: imap.nokiamail.com & outgoing: smtp.nokiamail.com both SSL is 'on' & ports set to default.

Hold the Option key down and restart. Select one of the drives that comes up and hit the Return key.
