Is there a view that looks like Outlook Today?

Hi, I'm looking for a view on ical that shows events as a list, sort of like Outlook's Outlook Today view. Here's an example:

You can't do what you want just with iCal. However, I did notice this product the other day: http://secondgearllc.com/today/
It seems to be a work in progress - active forum with suggestions are a good sign - and I have not used it myself beyond taking a look.

You can try putting it into Disk Mode

If that works, you can see if the computer will recognize it when connected, either in iTunes or by the system.
NOTE: You can also try putting it into Disk Mode WHILE it is already connected to the computer.
If the iPod is recognized, you may be able to use one of the third-party methods or utilities to transfer song files from iPod to computer. You can do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer" to get some links (add "mac" to the search if your computer is a Mac).
Once the song files are on your computer, add them to that computer's iTunes library, then sync it to the new iPod.

Screen orientation lock. Double click the home button to bring up the recent app bar. Then finger swipe left-to-right to bring up the iPod controls. The icon on the far left (circle with lock in it) is the orientation lock button - press it, and the lock will go away.

It's the screen orientation lock. It prevents the screen from switching between portrait and landscape views when you turn the iPod.
To engage or disengage this feature, double click the home button. This will bring up the multitasking tray. Swipe all the way to the left until you see the iPod controls, then tap the gray icon with the lock on it. This will toggle the feature on and off.

HT4527 I can't get all my music I purchased from Itunes on my iphone to work. When displaying them on my computer I can't play them or on my phone. They have a little icon to the left that looks like a repeat icon. It won't let me play them. Please he

I can play the music on my itunes under my purchased section but when I go to my phone when I have it connected the a lot of the songs won't play on my song or from the itunes under my phone. They have a little icon to the left of them that looks like a repeat icon. It won't let me delete them from there nor play them. When on my phone only it won't play them it just brings up the clip art but will not play. Please can anyone help me.

All that happens is it just flicks through it all and won't play any of it???
As in I select the song and it just flicks back one screen (if I am making sense).....

Try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then try restoring the iPOd via iTunes. For recovery mode see:

Is there a program that works like the old iPhoto?
The old iPhoto is my ideal program. Unfortunately, it does not work on my new operating system. I like having the ability to look over my images with a slide show. However, the new package folder does not give me complete access to my pictures. Is there a program that will have both slide show with music options, and the general folder for the files? I heard that Picasa was supposed to have a general folder, but it is using the iPhoto package.
I have looked over the solutions to getting access to images from the iPhoto package mentioned in the discussion forum. I would like a simpler system that works like the old iPhoto. Is this a possibility? I do not feel comfortable putting my original photo files into a system that does not let me look at the file information, and I would like to have the original benefits of iPhoto tools.

The current iPhoto is laid out specifically the way it is because of folks like you
Since iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder is now a Package File. This is simply a folder that looks like a file in the Finder. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
Even in the old iPhoto it was never correct to access the iPhoto Library Folder.
However, the new package folder does not give me complete access to my pictures.
This is untrue. Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
There they all are.
Standard Warning which applies to every version of iPhoto: Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
I do not feel comfortable putting my original photo files into a system that does not let me look at the file information
What information are you missing? If you can tell us we may be able to help you more.

Phone email - what is the icon (grayed location) that looks like a storage box do? It is on the bottom of the screen when you open a message...it is where the trash can would be?
We put a message in there by mistake and have no idea where it went or how to retrieve it.

The Icon meas your display orientation is locked to vertical so it wont change when you turn the phone sideways.
First thing you should check with the battery life is multitasking, which also happens to be where the orientation lock can be turned off. check out http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4211 and go from there

Exported images have extra noise that looks like stars

Hello all, I don't know what Ive done but since I upgraded to Lightroom 5 I have a problem. I use it for images of the sky but now when I export, Ive tried tiff, jpeg and PSD, there is a great deal of noise that looks like thousands of extra stars and ruins the images. The images look great in Lightroom but not when I export. Can anyone offer some advice please. I'm struggling. Geoff

Are you sure to optimize your detail settings while zoomed into the image at 1:1?

want It to look like a white space in my .txt file.You probably need to start looking at a solution that is not dependent on white space. For example maybe use commas. Or use XML. Or use a custom parser. Or use properties. Or use regular expressions.

Noob Question: Type That Looks Like Web Type

Hi,
Can someone give me suggestions on creating type that 'looks' like the type generated by a browser. IOW: I've tried the various settings (crisp/sharp/smooth) and the type that I create in a GIF or PNG never looks as close to the same font in IE or Firefox text. This is not font-specific... any font.

I tried that and it's close, but then it's -too- jagged. Sorry to sound like Goldilox, but it's as though the 'sharp' is a bit too soft and the 'none' is a bit too hard. One problem (I -think-?) is that the font in the web page is specified in px but Photoshop type is (rightly) in pts.
Any more ideas? Closer, but not -quite- there yet.

Look at the Automation Symbols Toolkit from NI. It used to be sold by
itself, but now may be part of a larger package. It has plenty of just
what you want (but is not free.)

Sending email using mail that looks like a web page

I want to send an email that looks like a web page (kind of like those emails from apple or other companies). I tried making a document in Pages, but then that didn't quite work. Of course, I could make the pages document into a pdf file, but that's not ideal. Any recommended application?
