Is there a way I can type in English but have it translate my words into another language?
I speak english. I want to be able to type the English words and have them translated into other languages. Japanese kanji, katagana, hiragana in my specific case. I tried using text input, but it just translates a letter at a time making my word a mix in English letters and Katagana characters.

I assume you mean you enabled Kotoeri, the Japanese input method. This is for those who wish to type in Japanese. It's not a translating tool.

Other than that, in iTunes, from top menus (forget which one, think under help) you can access your account and then view purchase history. -

When restoring from the backup, whatever is included with the backup from two days ago should be restored which includes photos/videos in the Camera Roll at the time of the backup along with all other data included with the backup at the time of the backup two days ago.

No, you can't update your 2G iPast past iOS 4.2.1. The graphics hardware on the 2G does not support the latest Open GLS.
Yes, there are not that many apps that still works with a 2G with 4.2.1. -

If document allows you to copy and paste the text then you can use google Translator to translate to another language.

Crashing apps. What do I do to fix it?
My first gen. iPad exits out of apps and safari at random times when I am trying to use them. So I basically can't do anything on it. Is there some way I can fix this?I have the same problem. Yahoo Sportacular aborts every time I try to open it. It attempts to load and then the device goes right back to the home screen. The problem started April 26 after I switched leagues from NHL to NBA. Closing all apps and Restarting doesn't solve solve the problem.
All other apps on the iPad work fine. IPad2, OS6.
Any other suggestions? I suppose I could delete the app from the iPad and try re-installing it -

We had a MacBook Pro stolen from our home when we were out of town and I am pretty sure we never activated the LoJack type of function on it not sure if its called lojack but you get what I am saying is there any way we can activate such hardware/app now so we can possibly recover our laptop? You don't buy an unlocked phone. You buy a Verizon iPhone at full retail. I just did this myself last month. I paid full retail for the phone and activated it on my plan. This allowed me to get a new phone before I was eligible to upgrade and keep my unlimited data. I also got a good deal on trading in my iPhone 5.
You can buy the phone through Verizon or through Apple. If you buy it through Apple, I'd suggest that you not have them activated but do that yourself by logging into your account on your computer.

It's do-able, but I don't think it's a great idea.
DVI
Some users with DVI have managed to get their TV's to work with DVI-HDMI cables. DVI carries no audio, so alternative connections need to be explored to enable audio. DVI doesn't necessarily support HDCP as well as other standards used by HDMI (which may or may not be an issue)
Analogue
There are hardware converters that will convert HDMI to various other types of output, however there are some issues with doing so that you should be aware of.
HDCP
HDCP compliant converters will not allow you to watch HDCP protected content such as that from the iTunes Store. Non compliant converters exist but we cannot discuss them under the Terms of Use for these communities.
Resolution and aspect ratio
I'm not aware of any converters that will scale the output from the Apple TV, any TV or projector which is used will need to be widescreen and support resolutions of 720p (Apple TV 2), 720p/1080p (Apple TV 3)
