Is there a way of extending the no of minutes after scheduled end of program to record? My Wife has Call The Midwife on series record and every week she loses the last few mins of the program???
Anyone else having similar problems?

If you are recording from BBC1 (channel 1) then the box should handle it automatically using the start/stop signals that are broadcast (EIT p/f).
If you are recording from BBC 1 HD (101) this is a multicast Extra TV channel and you can adjust the end padding in Settings.
However, both systems only work if the box has a tuner available. For example, if it finishes at 9pm Sunday and two other recordings start at the same time the box will have to decide what to do and should end the first recording at exactly 9pm so it can start the others. This is OK providing the programme doesn't run late - if it does you'll miss the end off he recording. All boxes have this problem.
I wouldn't expect the BBC to overrun on this though - they are normally better than other broadcasters.
It would be interesting to know if you do have any recordings around 9pm - do let us know. If this is the problem then see if you can record the 9pm programmes at a different time (eg if they are broadcast again later).

Is there any way to extend the spin time?

I'm retrieving heaps of old jobs from archived CDs and DVDs and what's becoming apparent is the time the CD/DVD is spinning. I can understand saving energy etc, but it's not very long at all, which means I've been spending about 3 or 4 seconds per job, waiting for the disc to spin up. Times that over the hundred+ jobs I've got, and it'll add up.. Is there any way to extend the spin time to something more like 30 seconds, or something else?

The only thing you could try is to deselect the "spin down hard disk's when possible" option in the energy saver System Pref's. I doubt this will provide much success, but its worth a shot.

If your app needs to store data in the cloud perpetually then you'll need to use your own server.
If the app is installed then roamed data will still be saved on the client systems until the user removes it.

I have an original iPad, but the component video cable is too short to really do any good. Can it somehow be extended. It would really be useful if there was an adapter for the 30-pin connector that goes into the iPad itself so that one wire could extend the AV cable another 10-15 feet. I know of no such adapter. Have you been able to get this cable to work on your iPad? I just went out and bought this cable so I could stream YouTube, Netflix and my other video on my iPad and the component cable wasn't working. I went back to my Apple store and replaced it with the composite video cable and everything works fine. I do not think that the component cable works with the original iPad because its output is not HD. Anyhow, you should be able to buy extender type cables at any Radio Shack, or any audio/video retailer. Look in the cables section. keep in mind you'll need both Audio cable and component video cable extended cables to increase the distance you are using these at. Keep in mind, also, that the iPad is basically useless while playing video. You can't multitask while watching the video because,depending on what apps you have that do video mirroring, you'll end up leaving the video and whatever app you're working in will show up on your TV screen. When I watch video I just leave my iPad close by the TV and walk up to it to play or pause video. Can't use it for anything else while the movie is playing, anyway. ;)

When I have 10+ applications open in Windows 7, I can click and grab the toolbar edge and drag upward, causing a "second" row of viewable and operating applications.
I was just wondering if the same could be done with Firefox. It's not a tragic issue. Sometimes I get many, many tabs going and (trust me Firefox is my favorite) would like to see all tabs at the same time, even if it causes 2 rows of tabs and cuts down on my viewable screen area.

For whatever reason when I have my express extend my wifi at home the download speed from just the express is absolutely terrible, drops to about 1.5 mb compared to when it's on the extremes part of the network the speed goes up to 50-75mb. These terrible download speed really only affects the iPhones as my MacBook Pro usually gets the good speed no matter where it is. I don't believe there is anything wrong with my phone because if I am in the part of the house that uses just the extreme the download speeds on the iphone goes up to 50-75mb. As a note I have an AirPort Extreme on the top floor of my house (second floor) that's where my modem is located. On the first floor that's where one airport express is located. I also have another airport express in the basement that is accessed by my landlord. Any thoughts on how to fix this would be helpful.

It appears that your networking goals with the AirPort Express is to use it as a wireless Ethernet bridge instead of using it to extend the wireless range of your AirPort Extreme. The latter requires that the Express Wi-Fi radios be enabled.
If you intended to use the Express as a wireless bridge, you just need to reconfigure it to "Join a wireless" network instead of "Extend a wireless network."

In an extended network, the placement of the extending base station is critical as it can only extend the wireless network at the bandwidth at which it receives it.

Unfortunately there is no "forecast" feature for trendlines in Numbers. Wayne showed how to use the trendline equation from the chart to create additional data points for the chart. This is by far the simplest way to do it in Numbers but it has two drawbacks:
If your data changes, you'll need to manually readjust the coefficients for your forecasted point(s).
The precision of the coefficients is only three decimal places. The forecasted Y values using these coefficients might not be as accurate as you would like. For example, compare the forecasted Y value in Wayne's table at X=20 to the one in the table below.
You can avoid both problems by calculating the trendline coefficients in your table using the LINEST function. it is a little more work in the setup but it might save you time in the long run if your data changes a lot. Here is an example of for 2nd order polynomial:

You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

i like to be automatic just like in photoshop pentool.

1. Path with straight segment selected.
2. PenTool: click the segment to add the anchorPoint. If the straight segment has no handles extended, the added anchorPoint will be a corner point. The added anchorPoint is selected.

I don't use Time Machine either but the option for this function is in the Time Machine options.
Open System Preferences > Time Machine
Click 'Options'
The bottom option should be about auto-saving. To stop applications from locking documents, uncheck the box. To extend the peiod before the document is locked, select the appropriate time from the drop-down menu.
