Is there a way of flagging iMessages?

I get more iMessages that I need to flag than email. Especially if you accidentally view a message during the day and it's way down the list by the time you have time to read it.

No, there is no flag gin in Messages. Submit your feedback requesting such a feature directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:

  • Is there a way to flag events on the Calendar differently?  I want to put bills in my Calendar on the days they are usually due (repeating monthly).  I want to flag them somehow when they have been paid.

Is there a way to flag events on the Calendar.  I want to put bills to be paid (and have them repeat monthly) on my Calendar.  I would like to be able to flag them after they are paid.  I tried to put them in using the "Home calendar" blue, and them change them to purple (Work Calendar) after I had paid them.  The problem is that once I changed a bill from blue to purple it changed all upcoming bills for future months to purple also.

You might want to try Reminders.
Creat a Bill Pay list, add all your bills set a reminder to repeat every month and when you pay one just check them off as complete

If you have an iCloud or iTunes backup, you can restore from that backup:

I have an iphone 4 with IOS 7.  Is there a way to recover imessages I inadvertently erased? The new OS didn't let me delete individual messages, so I ended up deleting all the messages from one person.

Only by restoring from a backup that contains the deleted messages.

  • Is there a way to copy iMessages from my Mac to my iPhone?

My apple ID has the slightly frustrating habit of sending iMessages to my computer instead of my phone. Is there a way to move those messages to my iphone instead, so I

    Hey there NitaHight,
It sounds like you are unable to get all your iMessages to your phone, as they all seem to go to your computer instead. I would use these steps from the following article about troubleshooting iMessage, named:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
If you aren't receiving iMessages across all iOS devices
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on each iOS device and make sure that you signed in with your Apple ID. You must use the same Apple ID on each device.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By iMessage At and make sure that you selected each phone number and email address you want to use with iMessage.
If you linked a phone number to your Apple ID with iMessage and the phone number hasn't appeared, followthese steps.
Sign out of your Apple ID in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and Settings > FaceTime on all devices.
If you're linking a phone number to an Apple ID, sign in to iMessage on your iPhone first. Then sign in to the rest of your device one by one with iMessage and FaceTime.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Is there a way to import iMessage pictures to laptop without saving them to camera roll?

Sorry, it doesn't make sense to me. Why would you want to send photos to iMessage that you have already saved to the camera roll and imported to your PC - just to send the same photos back to the PC again?

  • Is there a way to recover old iMessages?  Or is there a way to track iMessages?

Is there a way to recover old iMessages?  Are these messages held in the network somewhere?  If so, how easy is it to recover them?  I need to look up some messages for a file of mine.
    Thank You

    Look on the device.
If they've been deleted off the device, the only hope of finding them would be to restore to a backup created prior to them being deleted off the device.

  • TS2755 Is there a way to receive imessages on two different iphones if they have the same Apple ID?

Hello - I have a work and personal iPhone. I would love to only have to carry one around with me. Is there a way to set up each phone with the same AppleID so that I will get all imessages on one phone?

SIgn into iMessage on both devices with the same ID.

  • Stolen iPod - Is there any way to flag the serial number with Apple Service

My iPod Product (red) that I received for Christmas was recently stolen out of my car. I've done the police report and all that, but was wondering if there was any way to flag my serial number so that if someone were to try & register it or get service that it would be blocked? Yes, I'll replace it ASAP, but my kids bought it for me with their own money and it just really makes me sick that it was stolen and I'll probably never see it again.

Apple have no procedure to track, trace or block your iPod from use. You've done as much as you can by informing your local police.

  • Is there a way to use iMessage but not have the texts sync to my iPad or other devices, just stay on my iPhone?

I don't like when things from my phone sync to my iPad or iPod, so I am wondering if there is a way to keep the texts on my phone and off of everything else.  I share my iPad with others and don't want to be in the middle of a conversation when all of a sudden it just appears while someone else is using the iPad.  In addition, I don't want the messages to syn to the computer when I plug my phone in, as I also share the computer with others.  This has kept me from using iMessage because of how iCloud works, but maybe I just don't have a good understanding of how they work and someone can clear it up for me.  Thanks.

I don't even see the iMessage option on my iPad anywhere. Maybe it needs to be updated?
Does this have anything to do with iCloud or just iMessage?

  • Where are my older iMessages? Is there a way to retrieve iMessages, I never deleted them?

I need to see what was sent and received as an iMessage. I never deleted any of these conversations,  but unlike my regular text messages where it saves the history find the load earlier on imessage.  Please, please tell me there is a way to retrieve older iMessages. If there's a way can you tell me how?

I'm sorry, but they would have been cached in a temporary file that would have been replaced when you upgraded.
In the future you should never do system updates/upgrades while still processing data. This doesn't help you much now, but at least it may help at a future time.

  • HT3529 Is there any way to sync iMessages from an iPhone into the Messages on a Mac Book Pro?

Basically, for me to upgrade to an iPhone 5s, I'll have to trade in my iPhone 4s. The thing is, I'm pretty sentimental when it comes to certain text messages and I would really like to be able to save them all somewhere, somehow. Everything else is backed up to my laptop, so I'm not concerned about anything else on the phone; it's just not wanting to part with the text messages... It would be nice if there is a way to sync the rest of one's messages into the Messages app on the MacBook Pro. Is that possible?

If the photos were on the iphone when the last sync was performed, then you should be able to restore from backup.

  • Is there a way to have imessage on a pc the way they have it on a mac?

is there such application for pc users?

    HI,
Messages can use AIM names (Or names valid as AIM Screen Names like @mac.com and @me.com ending ones)
On a PC you could use AIM for PC or Trillian (A multi-services App) and Chat.
It is supposed to Video but I have not tested this side yet (to AIM on a PC)
The Trillian App has a pay for Add-on called "Pro" that allows Video and Audio Chat (also Untested)
Text Only chats can be done between an Jabber or Google ID on Messages and a Jabber or the Google Talk app on a PC.  (in this case Messages is Mac Only to iChat or Messages for Video and Audio Chats)
As Allan says though, the iMessages side can not be done to PC users.

  • Is there a way of archiving iMessages?

I have been in iMessge contact with a friend for about a month and we would both like to save these messages in some archiveable format. I have an iPhone with IOS 5 on it and an iMac but I'm not sure whether messages can be transferred to the iMac to save and be printed out?

No, there is no flag gin in Messages. Submit your feedback requesting such a feature directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:

  • Is there any way to get iMessage to display the absolute date rather than the relative date of a text message?

Sometimes I need to document when a text message exchange occurred and taking a screen capture is a nice and efficient way of doing this.  However, since iOS7, iMessage has used relative dates for recent text messages and will simply say "Today 1:31 PM" when I would prefer it if it said, "Wed, Nov 12, 1:31 PM".  I can reasonably figure out whether November 11 was "Yesterday" if need be.

    No.
