I am new to the forum, please excuse me if I am in the wrong space!
Is there a way of remotely accessing/executing Java applications that are residing in the 'Games and More.' folder on a mobile device?
e.g. Java application is downloaded into 'Games and More' and there is a requirement to execute the program from an ODP (On-Device-Portal). The ODP is external to the 'Games and More' folder but within the same mobile device.

No. There is no way to do so. Apps would not have access to the necessary APIs to do so as it would create a serious security risk.

Edit > Preferences > Store check Music under Automatic Downloads.
Open the iTunes Store from left hand column, then select Purchasedfrom the column on the right, click the Not In My Library button and select the tunes you want to download again.
That said, you seem to be under a misapprehension as to how iTunes works, or at least how it has worked in the past. It has, until recently, been up to you take care of your purchases once they have been downloaded. You had a one-time download which you were reminded to back up. With the recent change to this policy you can at least download your store purchases again, but having a personal backup of your iTunes store purchases, stuff purchased elsewhere and files ripped from your CDs will still be preferable to gathering all the stuff together again in the event of a disaster.

If you have older versions of excel and word that previously ran under the Rosetta emulator (allows PowerPC code to run on Intel system), they will no longer work with Lion.
You can use the Apple programs Pages and Numbers to access the files. They can be bought and downloaded from the App store. NeoOffice is available at http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/index.php which has Lion support. OpenOffice doesn't talk to Lion support, it's at http://www.openoffice.org/

I had Photoshop CS5 installed on my laptop. The hard drive recently crashed and had to be replaced. Because it crashed suddenly, I was unable to deactivate the install. Sure-glad to help you. You will not lose any data by changing synching to MacBook Pro from imac. You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac. You should be able to set a password for it. Save it. Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer, I suppose, back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity. As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro

time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine and go for it. You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups of your stuff.

What I need to do is block access to a set of directories to public IP

ConnectionEvent's getRemoteAddress() method to determine whether the
requestor is public or trusted, but can I get enough information from
getProtocol() method to determine which directory they're requesting?

The best way? Get her to bring it to you, especially if she makes good cakes.
Apples Back to my Mac isn't really suitable for this - it is designed for a single person who wants their Apple ID on the system. It would mean she would have to share hers with you & you would also have to setup her Apple ID on your Mac - it is messy & causes trouble with iCloud, iTunes etc.
You can try Messages if she is able to begin a session with you, see the 'invite to share screen' in the menus, weirdly you need to use a service that isn't from Apple.

It may be better if you to setup LogMeIn or GoToMyPC. They should 'dial out' & maintain a constant connection so you can login whenever the Mac is powered up. It won't, require a human to initiate the process at the other end, just be aware that the router may cause issues depending on what is configured, you may need settings to enable automatic port forwarding - it really depend on which option you choose.
