to create a policy where you can define source destination and have any traffic matching that criteria to NOT generate a syslog entry? basically i have a particular legit traffic pattern where ANY to a particular public web server is generating tens of thousands of syslog entries (for tcp/udp/icmp sessions) etc but I don't want to pump that to a syslog collector. I do wnat to send syslog info for all other connections but not this particular flow. Is this possible?

No, you can create a filter list but based on the message ID or severity level! Not based on an IP address. Sorry to tell you that.

You would put it the same place you put the wireless keyboard.
In fact the existing keyboard support is one of the big reasons many of us would like to see mouse support added. You see the problem is that when you use a keyboard you have to reach up and over to tap the iPad screen. By Steve Jobs own admission* the arm tires quickly when you have to do this repeatedly. In this particular situation a mouse would be more ergonomically sound.
There is also the issue of access for the disabled. Although iOS does have many accessibility option, at present none of them help those with severe spinal damage or certain amputees. Including mouse support means you could also use devices like the "suck and puff"... A mouth controlled joystick designed for people with these disabilities.

Is there a way for the CC desktop app to recognize already installed software? Initially the CC app had all my installed software listed but since one of the patches it no longer knows what I have installed. I can still use everything but I'm worried I will encounter issues if I am unable to change this situation. I have already looked through multiple discussions looking for an answer so if I have missed the solution my bad.

You would have to run teh Cleaner tool and reinstal lfrom scratch. Something botched your installer database.

I been buying songs that are singles, like for example: Give Me Everything (Ft. Ne-Yo) by Pitbull and then I bought Pitbull's new album Planetpit and the song didn't show up as part of the album. Personally, I think the easiest way is to use the powerhouse combo of Firebug and ColdFire. (Sorry if you already know this) Firebug is a plugin for Firefox for debugging (great JavaScript debugger in it!). ColdFire is a ColdFusion debugger that hooks into Firebug.

There are a couple of steps to installing ColdFire on your server (in addition to the Firefox plugin) but it's just a matter of copying a CFM file into a particular folder on your server's CF install. Then you just select ColdFire as the debugging output option in the CF Administrator and you're good to go (the ColdFire zip archive has an install doc).
Once you're using it, ColdFire lets you see all your queries: the actual SQL, the execution time, whether or not it's cached, etc.
While there are other techniques for seeing your SQL, I've always found ColdFire to be the easiest to use.

I am sending emails to a Smart Group created in my address book. The contact in my address book has multiple email addresses. Is there a way for the email to go to both addresses? (ex: work and home email address under one contact)

In my address book, I have contacts that have multiple email addresses. (ex: home and work) I have created a smart group off of the company name in the contact. When I send emails, I want it to go to both email address listed in the contact. Is there a way to make this happen? Or do I have to have a separate contact for each email address?

I will agree with you on this one. Version 31 and all the fixes so far are a mess. Since I have been here answering questions for a little more than a year now I have learned to wait to upgrade until all the dust settles. I see no end to the dust storm version 31 has caused. I am still on version 24.6 and plan on staying there for the duration. At least until the developers comes to their senses and put out a working product.

I can't answer the "host control" part of your question, but there are plenty of devices that can be controlled by an app running on the iPod. For example, the Square credit card reader connects to the headphone jack.
If the device vendor wants to use the Lightning port, they should join the MFi Program.

When saving a form as a tiff image, is there a way eliminate the form's buttons from appearing.

I am trying to save a form as a tiff to be used for laser engraving. The PDF form has buttons that are needed for other uses, but when the form is saved as a tif the buttons are rasterized into the tif. Is there a way to save the tif without the buttons?

I don't think so, but you can hide all of the buttons with a simple script that you can run from a temporary link, bookmark, or the interactive JavaScript console (Ctrl+J). Something like:

Is there any way to show HIGHLIGHT clipping warnings ON my image while in the Soft Proofing mode? I am NOT looking to see if color are out of gamut...but if Highlights and shadows are being clipped.

Sorry JimHess, that does not work. If you adjust for highlight clipping in the normal LR mode, which is in the Pro Photo color space, there will still be clipping in the sRGB color space for highlights. You can test this by adjusting an image in the Pro Photo color space, making your highlights kiss each end of the histogram, and then open that image in PS or ACR in sRGB mode. You will see major clipping that you did not see in Pro Photo color space in LR. I'm looking for a way, in Lightroom, to see clipping warnings on my image, while it is being view in the sRBG color space...so I know, once it's printed in that color space...I won't have clipped highlights.

Not with a Terminal hack, no; and it's nothing to do with being a guest user.

I was doing some tracking in a 24fps project (yes my comp settings are correct) and I was really annoyed to see that the track looked to be generating key frames at 29.98fps. Of course this means crazy jittering.
Is there a way I can change the rate that tracker generates key frames?
Please help. I use CS3.

(I assume that you mean 29.97, not 29.98.)
In all versions of After Effects, the motion-tracking keyframes are set at the frame rate of the footage item on which the layer is based, not at the composition's frame rate.
Have you checked to see that your footage item is interpreted to be 24fps?
Also, are you sure that this "jittering" that you're seeing is because of the rate of the motion-tracking keyframes?
