IS there a way to adjust ringer and text alert volumes to seperate volumes?

Hello,
Was wondering if there is a way to adjust the volume on text alerts while I'm on the phone talking to someone. If I am using the phone for a voice call and I get a text or message the alert tone is way too loud and I cant hear the other person speaking.

You can mute the text alerts while you're on a call using the mute switch over the volume buttons.

Maybe some one else can pipe up with a solution, but this would literally take 2 seconds to do for a new project. And you can create a "template project" that includes this "text" clip. Save this project and then to a get info and check "stationary pad." When you double click on this file, fcp will open with a copy of this project and you just need to do a save as.

I am sorry to hear about the screen issues. To clarify, do you only notice the screen proportion difference when in a certain application? By to long or wide are you stating that parts of the screen images are cut off? Please provide details

Pictures in Facebook are too large and content is cut off, is there a way to adjust.

While using my I pad 2 for Facebook the pictures of postings are huge and some of the content gets cut off. This doesn't happen on a laptop is there a way to adjust size of content so entire post can be seen.

Don't use the app.
Unfortunately, the app has had the photos bug for months or more. I access facebook via safari and find it a much better experience.

I am well aware of the ability to adjust the equalizer for sound output in iTunes but is there a way to do this for the whole computer? Sometimes I stream talk radio programs over the internet and the stream is handled by the internet sites own window server rather than iTunes. As a result I can't adjust the sound to a "spoken word" setting or equivalent like I can in itunes. I play the audio through a standard set of computer speakers that don't have Bass Treble adjustments. Is there a way to adjust the sound as it leaves the computer through the headphone jack (a system wide equalizer). This would also be useful on my desktop which I use as a TV to watch DVD's. There is no equalizer to adjust the sound to make it more appropriate for "spoken word".

Hi cris2121, assuming you're using a mouse from apple, go to >System Preferences<
it's here where one can configure a mouse device.
Additionally you can also configure Scrubbing in Logic: "When in scrub mode, you can slowly move the playhead in the Tracks Window and the Audio (and optional MIDI) will be played back. The playback speed depends on how fast you move the Playhead in either direction."

Is there a way to adjust volume of ringtone BEFORE downloading it?

I downloaded a ringtone last night to my iPhone. Everything went smoothly but find that the ringtone is way too low for me to hear when it rings... is there any way to adjust this before I download it? Let me just say that otherwise the volume on my iPhone is perfect - I have never had a problem with this just with this ringtone in particular. I have try to go to the info of this particular ringtone and i can see a volume adjustment under the heading Options but it is gray - anyway to make it active? Any info will be appreciated. thanks.

Ditto, the ringtone I created is unusable, as it is too quiet. There does not seem to be an option to increase the volume. Even if I set the ringer volume all the way up I can bearly hear it. Admittedly it is a relatively quiet segment of the track I used, but surely the ringtone should auto adjust its volume?
The preview on my MacBook sounded great, on the iphone with it sat in the dock, I barely even noticed it was playing.

Not as far as I know. I have self, for the same reason set the Volume of Skype to about 40% and I don't see any effect on the call volume. Only ringing and notification sounds are affected.

This is my first go at this so be kind,
My question concerns launchpad. Coming from Snow Leopard I had been using spaces. I like to keep certain bundles of programs on separate desktops, for example all word processing related tasks in one place. I have set up the equivalent on Yosemite.
My problem is concerns the loss of exposé. Now I know when you swipe into launch pad you get a very similar effect but the issue I am having concerns the "zoom out" effect when you swipe into launchpad. With exposé all open apps/pages etc would be fully exposed - in my case several (sometimes as many as 9 word documents). What I am running into is when I do this in / into launch pad the "pile" of docs is exposed but they are still overlapping so I can't get a good look at which is which and visually identify where I want to navigate to.
My question is this; Is there a way to adjust the settings on launchpad so that when I swipe into it all the open apps/pages are fully separated (like in exposé) so that I can fully view all of them simultaneously? If so, instructions on how to do so would be greatly appreciated. Any alternative suggestions to doing this outside of launchpad are also welcome. If there is an exposé app for example, I would be quite willing to go that route.
My main concern is being able to quickly (ie a touchpad gesture) expand all the open pages so I can bounce between them.

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

Is there a way to adjust the new IOS7 calendar DAY VIEW so you just see the list of events for the day; so you don't have to scroll down all the hours of day? (want it back the old way!) Can it be adjusted?

I am working in Adobe Premiere CS6 and all of the audio is out of wack. Is there a way to adjust all of it at the same time to the same level or do I have to go clip by clip?

I had made Feature Requests to "gang" several Track sliders, like one can with a mixing board. However, the Sub-Mixes handles that nicely, as was pointed out to me by Adobe.

finally CS6 arrived and I am testing.
First impression: Very happy about the multiple clipboards!
Also, on first glance, the rest seems fine, better than 5.5.
BUT!
Is there a more detailled way to adjust pre and post-roll times?
Did I get this right: You can mark a part of the clip and click a few seconds before or after this area to adjust the pre- and post-roll?
But what if I want pre-roll 0.5 sec and postroll 20 minutes?
If you now ask why I should want that?!?
This was my workaround in Audition 3 to get the cursor play over highlighted areas without stopping: I had pre-roll on 0 sec and post-roll on 999 sec.
When I edited some part of the waveform (e.g. amplifying) I highlighted the area, used the effect and hit the spacebar to play. Normally the cursor stopped at the end of the highlighted area and I had to click in the waveform again. But with pre and post-times I could just hit the play-button after using the effect and everything was fine. This saved much time.
So. Does anybody know a way (or workaround) to change the pre and post individually in CS6?

this is definetely a good tip. I didn't know of the de-highlight-function with "g". I now made a macro with the logitech keyboard driver, making the space-bar a "space-plus-g"- bar.
I just have to remember to deactivate that makro when typing text
Perhabs some extra controller or another button on the keyborard might be handy as a stop/play toggle.

Is there a way to adjust paths to a new stroke after tracing?

Hi,
I've used image trace to trace the outline of a street grid and expanded the trace into paths. However, after doing so, I realized I wanted the streets a bit thicker, so I increased the stroke value.
Is there a way to adjust the old paths to match the new outline? I tried saving it as a .jpg and retracing but the quality was subpar. Any way to "redo" the trace in the original file, or somehow tell Illustrator to move the paths to match the increased stroke? I need them to coincide once more with the edges of the streets.

The was I (mis)understand it, you may go back to the original image and trace it anew with new settings
You may obtain stroked paths rather than filled areas, if you look at the Trace options and tick Centerline Mode along with Stroke, not Outline and Fill.
Once you have (access to) the paths you can change their stroke(s) to whichever Weight you wish.

A few things you probably know:
To get rid of the white in the image you can tick Ignore White; that is much easier than having to get rid of it later.
In newer versions, you have to Expand the traced artwork in order to access it for further work, such as editing, changing Stroke Weight and colour, and whatever else.
