Is there a way to adjust the size of comment boxes in Pages?

I want to make my comment boxes larger so I can view the entirety of a comment rather than simply see bits and pieces in Pages. Is there a way to do this?

There are no controls to expand the dimensions of comment boxes, in either Pages '09, or in Pages v5. The latter has a larger comment box with internal scrollbars. In Pages '09, comments can print and export to PDF. In Pages v5, comments are lost on print or export.

  • Is there some way to adjust the size of a photo on a site like ebay?

pls note: i am techno-incompetent and may not use the correct name or term.
in internet explorer, when you click on a picture in ebay to enlarge it, there is a scale in the toolbar (?) in the lower right corner of the screen that allows you to change the size of the picture. is there some way (or tool or add-on or whatever) that will let me do that in firefox?

The Firefox 6.0.2 version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates.
*It is important to update Firefox and add-ons to the latest version to get all security fixes.

  • Is there a way to adjust the size of the analog clock shown on screen?

Ok. this is a minor annoyance but it would be great if someone could tell me how to make the system analog clock (when viewed on screen) can be made smaller? It seems my only other option is to show it as a digital clock or a teeny tiny analg clock on the menu bar.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Is there any way to increase the size of printing on each page? With most of the printing it is really tiny. printing

I have been using I.E. with myyahoo.com as my homepage and I started having a page freeze for 30 seconds (approx.) 5 or 6 times a session. this is powered thru ATT.net. I thought that Firefox may correct this problem. When I installed Firefox I decided to use myyahoo.com as my home page. Yahoo/IE has a magnifying glass icon in the lower right corner that allows me to increase the print size. When I am on Foxfire the basis text size is 1/16th of an inch! How can I increase this size?????????????
#2 is it possible to have a different home page for Firefox and leave myyahoo.com on IE ???????????

    1. The Firefox [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Page+Zoom Page Zoom] feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.
Try the Default FullZoom Level extension: <br />
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6965
Or the NoSquint extension: <br />

  • Is there a way to adjust the font size in the digital signature?

The attributes, of Name, Date, Location, Reason, Distinguished Name, etc. Is there a way to adjust the size of the font and the display?
    Thank you.
    Chunkee

    Hi Chunkee,
I know it's not what you want to hear, but the answer is no. You can change the font, but not the font size because Acrobat will try to fill the signature field using dynamic sizing. I've found that id the default Helvetica is too big you can experiment with different fonts as they have different proportions and will come out different sizes.

  • Is there a way to adjust the settings on launchpad so that when I swipe into it all the open apps/pages are fully separated (like in exposé) so that I can fully view all of them simultaneously?

    Hi Apple community,
This is my first go at this so be kind,
My question concerns launchpad. Coming from Snow Leopard I had been using spaces. I like to keep certain bundles of programs on separate desktops, for example all word processing related tasks in one place. I have set up the equivalent on Yosemite.
My problem is concerns the loss of exposé. Now I know when you swipe into launch pad you get a very similar effect but the issue I am having concerns the "zoom out" effect when you swipe into launchpad. With exposé all open apps/pages etc would be fully exposed - in my case several (sometimes as many as 9 word documents). What I am running into is when I do this in / into launch pad the "pile" of docs is exposed but they are still overlapping so I can't get a good look at which is which and visually identify where I want to navigate to.
My question is this; Is there a way to adjust the settings on launchpad so that when I swipe into it all the open apps/pages are fully separated (like in exposé) so that I can fully view all of them simultaneously? If so, instructions on how to do so would be greatly appreciated. Any alternative suggestions to doing this outside of launchpad are also welcome. If there is an exposé app for example, I would be quite willing to go that route.
My main concern is being able to quickly (ie a touchpad gesture) expand all the open pages so I can bounce between them.
Much thanks from a loyal Apple friend.

    Hey Eric,
Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.
Again, thanks for trying, it is appreciated.

No, but iTunes has an Equaliser that enables you to do that.

    By that I mean <command> + 1 for cyan, <command> + 2 for magenta etc. like Photoshop CS3 rather than <option> + 3 for cyan etc.
There's gotta be a way under Edit --> Keyboard Shortcuts - but I can't find it!

Yes - click on the themes button in the  toolbar and select the new size and type - depending on your selection some text may not fit the new theme - usually everything is ok

  • Is there a way to reduce the size of my PDF file, created (or I should say, Exported) in InDesign.

I created a 10-page sale flyer in InDesign CS5 which will be viewed on our website. When I export it as a PDF file, even with the compression at "minimum", the size is still 3.8 MB.
Is there a way to reduce the size of the PDF file? with InDesign or another tool out there?
    Thanks for your help!

To expand a little on what Jongware said, normally choosing vector over bitmap will decrease the filesize. If the vector art is very complex though, this will not be true.
Yup, a logo as bitmap takes up more space than the same as a vector -- unless the vector image is bitmap heavy (think Drop Shadow, Outline Glow; these are actually bitmap effects).
Also, check your PDF version. "Older" versions do not support live transparency, the latest do. Then again, you cannot use live transparency if you suspect your viewers may be using Mac OS X, because Apple's own PDF viewer sucks big time.

  • Is there a way to reduce the size of a final PDF created for print when saving a file?

Is there a way to reduce the size of a final PDF created for print when saving in any software (especially illustrator)? I don't want any quality to decrease at the same time. Thanks!

Personally I would avoid optimizing the PDF's via Adobe Acrobat Pro unless you understand what you are removing from the PDF; having said that, it is the most effective way to reduce the file-size in the right hands.
If I am sending out layouts for commercial print I change my default Print / Export setting from Standard to PDF/A-1b:2005 (CMYK). This will resolve a lot of common print problems for print-ready documents and it should embed your fonts and flatten transparencies etc.
If your document is still too large you run an Audit Space Usage using Adobe Acrobat Pro. In the left pane enable 'Content' and then hit the button in the top left corner of the Content Pane and choose Audit Space Usage.
