When composing a message in mail is there a way to turn on auto capitalization for the word beginning each sentence?

As far as I can tell you cant auto capitalize the first word of each sentence. I did however find out how to turn "i" into "I in case that is bugging you as well
Go into System Preferences
Click on Language and Text
Choose the "Text" box on the menu bar
It will bring you to the text substitution thingamajig where you can replace "i" with an "I". Once done it will work on Mail as well as most applications system wide.

I've looked around and found a few posts which say this is not possible. I hope that becuase this is not too strenuous a piece of auto-correct functionality - and even works in iOS that it surely must be possible to get it to work on Mountain Lion Mail....

It's particularly annoying as I'm in the process of converting a long time Outlook for Mac user to Apple Mail - and this is one feature they have pointed out immediately. (As well as a 'Move To' search box that Apple doesn't have)

It would have to be connected to a TV to get the code off of it to to set it up in devices. After that it would not actually have to be connected to a TV just to show up in devices.... but I am assuiming you actually want to USE ATV? And for that it would still need to be connected to a TV.

It's called a hanging indent. It's a two-step process using the ruler. Move the indent to the point you want the second & subsequent rows then move the small bar on top of the triangle to the left. Or use the Text inspector as in this screenshot.

So I'm working on my thesis in Pages now. Everything goes quite well, but I stumble upon 1 question. Is there a way to auto number my headers? I know Word has a feature like that, but I'd like to figure out if it's possible in Pages also.
To picture my problem, I would like to achieve something like this:
1. Header 1
2. Header 1
3. Header 1
3.1 Header 2
3.1.1 Header 3
For example:
1. Branding (header 1)
1.1 Brand image (header 2)
1.2 Brand experience (header 2)
1.2.1 Retail (header 3)

Yes
create the replacement
drag it over the existing symbol in the symbol pallete while holding ALT key down
(or whatever ALT is equivalent to in MacOS)
all existing symbols will update to new symbol

yes,I imported different times the same iphoto libraryon one external hard drive.
I use to take One to One classes at the Apple Store. Each time i asked a teacher how to back up my i-photolibrary on a external hard drive they gave me a diferent way to do it, each teacher thought he could do better than the other... As this classes is only one hour long, I had to start all over again with the next teacher on the following session...
So know they are diferent version of he same library mixed up together and i am trying to clean up all this. It just take to much space on my disc and it is all confusing . Voila, that's the story!

Is there a way to copy non-contiguous words from a PDF? Is there a way to use a template or mask that will isolate certian areas to be copied with spaces in between the words so that when you go to paste the contents into multiiple fileds, the separate words will pop into the appropriate fileds. The fields will be in a submission form.

Yes - but - you need an app that supports file sharing and you still need iTunes on a computer, or you need an app like Folder Plus that lets you mount the iPad like a USB drive. You need the helper app on the computer as well.

If you right-click in the top of title bar of any Finder window there is an option to un-check 'use small icon size', though toggling between the two makes little difference on my screen.
Another trick is you can zoom the whole screen by holding down the 'control' key and using a two-finger swipe up on the trackpad to enlarge, down to go back to normal.

Is there a way to auto sync playlists while manually managing your music?

I used to use WMP11 before I bought an iPod and used iTunes, and in that I was able to auto sync playlists to my Samsung dap, as well as being able to manually drag tracks/albums to it.
Since using iTunes, I have found it is not as accessible in this regard. Of course, you can opt to manually manage your music, but if you do this, it does not auto sync any info. This means that if I drag a playlist to my iPod and alter it at a later stage by adding more tracks, it won't alter it on the iPod unless I manually replace it with the amended one. It also means that any ratings that I set on my iPod do NOT get transfered to the tracks in iTunes when connected.
What I have done is set a playlist called 'iPod Tracks' in iTunes, and have dragged any extra albums to my iPod using that, as well as the smart playlist 'Top Tracks'. But the disadvantage of this is, if I drag a few songs from an album into my 'iPod Tracks' playlist, then later decide I want the whole album and drag that over, I end up with two of the same tracks in the playlist, which makes it look very untidy (although I am aware only one of each track will be on the iPod) so it is not ideal.
Surely there must be a way to auto sync playlists so that when you amend them in iTunes it does so on the iPod too, as well as manually drag over any extra tracks/albums you want without having a messy playlist work-around like I have done.
Any help/ideas?

There is no way to sync content back to itunes. As you are aware there are a couple of unsupported ways to recover your content, you will need to decide if your content is valuable enough to go down this route.
If so and you are not comfortable with the procedures, I suggest taking the unit to a data recovery specialist with mac experience.
