Is there a way to automatically save e-mail addresses to address book?

I know when composing an e-mail, command-Y will result in saving the address on the outgoing mail to the address book. Is there a way to set up mail so that ANY outgoing mail I send results in saving the e-mail to my address book - automatically, without the extra step of command-Y?

In that case, you may also find the following collection of AppleScripts useful:

AddressBook shouldn't have any problem with the vCard format - which Yahoo can export to... In fact, I've done this before.
On the Yahoo AddressBook page, click the link for 'Import/Export'
On the next page, in the export section, choose 'vCard single file'
Then in AddressBook, you can simply drag the vCard to the window or go to File>Import>vCards...

Photoshop only has one Color Palette.  If you could script something  like a Color Palette with  two sets of active sliders the script would be in control till you dismissed its sliders dialog.  You would not be able to do anything but adjust the script's sliders in Photoshop while the script dialog window is being displayed.  Photoshop Scripting does not have real palette dialog type support.
I do not know what is possible with Photoshop extensions using HTML 5 Panels.....

I bought an iphone 4. I have a MacBook Core Duo running 10.4. My husband has a Core Duo 2 running 10.5.8. Is there a way to move my ical and address book info. to his computer so I can sync with my new iphone without upgrading software.

    Hello hbell,
is there any reason that you do not want
to upgrade to v10.5.? Suggest you call
    1-800-275-2273 Apple Support. Automated call
yet if you call back you can get in touch with an
Apple Software Specialist. They may be able to ship
you Leopard so that you can synch your new iPhone
to you own computer. Have the serial numbers of your
Mac and iPhone written down and ready for them.
As far as transferring data to your husbands MacBook
so that you can sync your iPhone on it I am really not
sure. Seems like a lot of trouble to get your data onto
    your iPhone.
    Good Luck,
    A

You can sync your Lotus Notes contacts to Google with Awesync tool, and then sync them to iPad:

  • Is there a way to transfer contacts from Mac Address Book to an iPhone?

I tried posting this before but no one answered.  I dont currently have an iphone (or any smartphone).  I do have a Mac and I have my contacts in the Mac Address Book (not in an email client like Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail)
I want to know if I get an iphone is there an easy way to transfer contacts (names, addresses, emails etc) and especially HOME/WORK/CELL Phone numbers from the Address Book on the Macbook Pro to the iphone....
I would think there's a way to do that since both the Mac and the iphone are Apple products....but no one has been able to give me a straight answer on this...except to transfer contacts from Gmail but my contacts are not in Gmail
So if I get an iphone (or probably any phone) do I have to manually enter all my contacts each time?  I thought that it would be easier with an iphone than an Android or other smartphone.

I appreciate the link but wasnt really looking to go through a 100+ page iphone guide.  From what I saw, it said what other people have told me - which is it will sync contacts from Google (Gmail) or Yahoo...so that doesnt mean it will sync contacts directly from an Android phone's contact list.  All the manual said was you sync thru itunes.
It looks like what I should do at some point is manually input all my contacts into a new "clean and unused" Gmail account...Unless there was an easy way to transfer my Mac Address Book to a Gmail Account.
It seems like if you have contacts in a Gmail account, it will be easy to transfer anywhere.
Im starting to wonder if an Android would be bette than an iphone anyway.  Considering the nightmare time Ive had with a Mac in just a few months, Im surprised Im even still considering another Apple product.
    Thanks

  • HT201320 Is there a way to transfer my Comcast email address book to my iPhone 4s?

Is there a way to transfer my Comcast email adress book to my iPhone 4s?

If Comcast does not provide an option to sync your Comcast online contacts with an address book app on your computer, they should provide an option for exporting the contacts to be imported by an address book app on your computer that supports syncing contacts with the iPhone.

  • Is there a way to add an image to Address Book notes?

I've tried copying an image from the clipboard and then pasting it into Address Book notes.  I've also tried moving the image in different formats, TIFF, JPG, PNG, directly to the notes section of Address Book, but still with no success.  Is there some other way to make this happen?
    Thanks

    Hello,
This isn't possible in Address Book on 10.7.
You can send a message to Apple here :
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
And, maybe, they will add that feature in a next update; it could be an interesting improvement by the way.

  • Is there a way to automatically save my keywords to the metadata?

I'm coming from Lightroom, and it does it all automatically.

What do you mean with "save keywords to metadata"?
In Aperture  - most of the time - saving any edits is not necessary. Conceptually Aperture is more like a database or an asset management system than like a document editor. Any changes to metadata tags like keywords are stored immediately. While working with Aperture you are changing images (items in Aperture), not image files. You change a keyword or any other part of the metadata and that change applies to the version of the image you are editing.
When you export an image all your edits are computed to create an image file and you can choose to have the IPICT-Metadata added to the exported image file.
For changes to the IPICT tags (and keywords are part of the IPICT content) you can decide to write them directly to the master image file, either with import presets, when batch changing mutiple images, or with the menu entry
Metadata -> Write IPICT Metadata to Master
But usually you are not supposed to access the master files using the Finder, it is safer to export them from Aperture, if you need them outside Aperture, and then you can add the IPICT tags on export by setting the flag.
    Regards
    Léonie

  • Is there a way to automatically save an audio I message with iPhone 6?

I sent an audio iMessage to someone that I think blocked my number.  It's saying that so and so kept the audio message.  That's confusing sunce it does seem like they have blocked me from calling.  is this persn really getting my audio messages? Or are they just automatically being saved in cyber nowhere? I have the iPhone 5s with the iOS 8.1.2 operating system. they have the newest 6.

If you block someone, you block all methods to reach you via phone (e-mail is a different thing altogether). I know that numbers I have blocked will not ring my phone nor alert me to a new voice mail message, but the message ends up in a "blocked messages" queue. I do not receive further iMessages or text messages from those I have blocked, but I do not know if that is because they never tried again or if blocking stops the messages from getting through.
If they have blocked you, you might want to take that as a sign.

  • Is there a way to Automatically Number in Mail?

You can automatically number in Outlook. My client recently switched from a PC to an iMac, and wants to know how to easily number.
    Thanks. Kara

    Hello Kara.
Sorry but it has been a long week for me.
    Automatically number what exactly?
Are you referring to a bulleted list with numbers instead of bullets?
If so, the Mail.app includes no such feature.

    JavaMail doesn't do this.
JDIC can do this, I believe.

  • Is there a way to automatically backup the Airport Extreme Configuration file (.baseconfig)?

Is there a way to automatically backup the Airport Extreme Configuration file (.baseconfig).
I know (in hindsight) that I can manually export it from the Airport Utility, but ideally I would like to include it in my Time Machine backup. I had a situation where my Airport Extreme (3rd generation) just stopped working (no lights, no power). I had not exported the config file. I bought a new Airport Extreme (5th generation) and had to manually configure the new router.
    Thanks

One option would be to use Automator and record the actions to run the AirPort Utility; save the configuration file to the desktop (or any other location you want), and then, close the utility. You can then either make this a part of your login startup programs. Time Machine then should be able to make backups.
