Is there a way to back up contact info only?

Is there a way to reset the iPhone (clear everything) and only restore my contact info. Basically I want to reset my phone back to the condition when I bought it but keep my contact info. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You can erase all content and settings, then sync.
You can also go to the bottom of the info pane and select replace info on the iphone with info from the computer.

Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes, or with the address book app used by Windows Mail called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
Before syncing contacts with an empty Windows Contacts address book, enter one contact in Windows Contacts. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data which you want to select. Syncing direct with Windows Contacts via the iTunes sync process is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

Sync them back to the device from the supported application on the computer that you are using. That would be either Address Book, Windows Contacts, Outlook, iCloud or other cloud service. That is done either through iTunes, or iCloud.

I was trying to save my contacts by importing my contacts to my sim card by going into settings, mail-contacts and then hit the Import SIM Contacts.
It wiped out ALL of my contacts and I'm freaking out!!

You can import TO a SIM. To import, if you look at the button in settings says Import SIM Contacts. That means it is importing, or moving the contacts FROM the SIM to the iPhone. Importing means to take something from the area you are selecting and moving it to the current area, in other words, as others have told you, you imported what was ON the SIM card and since the iPhone does not store ANY information on the SIM, you imported NOTHING to a place that had something.
The way you save and backup contacts on an iPhone is to sync them through iTunes to a supported application on a computer such as Address Book on a Mac, Outlook or Windows Contacts on a Windows machine. If you did not do that prior to the Import attempt, then you will not be able to recover them.

I've found that with 2 bluetooth enabled devices it's actually really simple to transfer from phone - phone VIA bluetooth. When you connect the phones to each other with blue tooth, you should be able to (on most phones) go into the blue tooth menu and send over the contacts via the bluetooth menu. While connected you should also see the transfer VIA bluetooth option in your actual contacts menu as well.

Your exchange contacts are entirely separate from iCloud so there isn't a way to restore them from iCloud. You would have had to copy the contacts to iCloud prior to removing them from your phone in order for them to be in your iCloud account.

Add the account back to your phone and enable contacts syncing with the account and the contacts will reappear on your phone. If you want them in iCloud, you'll have to copy them to your iCloud account. If you need assistance doing this, reply back and I'll help you.

Your own movies are backed up in the camera roll wich is backed up to iCloud. You should be able to restore the movies if something were to happen to them if you use iCloud for your backups. You would have to purchase more storage from iCloud, but the videos will be backed up

My wife and I recently purchased 2 iPhones (One for each of us). We are presently sharing an iBook G4. Is there any way to have separate contact list and separate calendars on the computer? We both use our phones for our individual work, and have different contact. I am trying to move us from pc to mac. I have a newer pc (compared to the G4) that I can hook the phones up too, but as I said I am trying to move away from PC's. We purchased the G4 used from a friend to get started and learn mac. Sorry for the long explanation I just wanted you to know that I am new to mac.

Just set-up 2 user accounts on the computer, then you effectively have 2 computers in one. All your phone data, and everything else (internet bookmarks, desktop preferences, application preferences) etc. are completely separate.
You and your wife can then use the computer in exactly the way you both prefer without affecting the other.

I am not at home, but I need a phone # off my contact list. Is there a way to view my contact from my account? Since our contact are on a server, you'd think that would be possable.... but then again, we're talking about skype here.... not much common sense in managment!

Your contact list can only be accessed using Skype application installed on your computer/device.
However, if you Skype account is linked with Microsoft account, then you can login to Outlook.com on the web and tere you should alos be able to see your contact list.

I am using an iphone 5. Recently it malfunctioned and I was told by apple that my old back up had a corruption with it an caused my phone to malfunction. Apple had to redownload the operating system. I was also told that I can not use my old back on my phone I need to delete it and manually download everything. I DID NOT USE ICLOUD. However I do have my old back up still on my mac in itunes. you can restore from your backup again just to get the notes. once you've restored from the backup, copy your notes into your icloud notes group or email them to yourself - basically, get them somewhere else so they're not just locally stored on the device. once you've moved your notes elsewhere, restore the device as new again like apple had you do. this will again put a fresh version of the operating system on your phone like it has right now
there's no other way to access the notes that are in your backup
