The laptop I had my itunes account on is no longer available for my use. My iphone was backed up to that laptop. Is there any way to back up to another computer?

I had my iTunes on my work issued laptop and it crashed. I still have the laptop, but everything that was on it has been cleared out. I am now using my home PC for itunes, which is an older version and has the contents of an old ipod from years ago. I am afraid if I hook up my iphone to this PC, I will lose everything on my phone and only have the contents of the old ipod shuffle. What do I need to do to back up my iphone to the home PC and start using it as my main source? Can I keep everything on my phone and create a backup to the PC or am I just out of luck??

I use Numbers for my business and I currently use it to create individual invoices and then (manually) enter the totals from the invoices into a Master Spreadsheet where I can see the sum of the individual totals. Is there anyway to set up a formula or a system that automatically funnels the numbers from the Individual Spreadsheets into the Master Spreadsheet to calculate a total?

If you can tolerate all the data and the summary being in a single document, this can be done. Any cell in a document can reference any other cell in the same document for the purpose of making a summary or other calculations.

My MacBook has over 50GB of "other" stored on it. Is there somebody out there who might be able to tell me what that may be and how I can get rid of it?

When I click on the apple icon and go to "about this mac" and look at the storage on my computer, it tells me I have 50.46GB of "other" stored on my computer. The other categories are audio, movies, photos, apps, and backups. I wasn't aware that i'd put anything besides that on here. Please help!

I attach the print summary which might give a clue. When converting
files to grayscale, I use Image>Mode>grayscale. The other thing is
that I can't print in Photoshop, so I do all my editing in Photoshop
and print through Indesign. Printing in Photoshop is just a page of
text.
The other odd thing is that coloured pdf files printed in Adobe
Acrobat are just a mass of colour, no recognisable picture but if I
change the print option in Acrobat to print in grayscale I get
pictures! I just feel I'm overlooking some checked option, but I've
tried to restore to default without success. I used to use Pagemaker
6.0 to do my newsletter on my PC but had to change to Indesign when I
changed to MAC and the printer hasn't worked properly since!!!

I have already found the Apple Widget Builder (http://widgets.itunes.apple.com/builder/) and that works fine if you want to link to the "App Store", but I want to know if there is a way to "open an app" that is already installed on the iPad instead of double tapping the home button to switch between apps. (I know using the home button is very simple, but I am trying to find an even easier way to just "tap a widget" or "link" that will open iTunes U right up) I am only asking if this is possible for people who may have a hard time running an iPad at the beginning.

I appreciate your help, but I had already looked at LinkMaker and I thought that was my answer, but as far as I could tell that still only links to an app in the app store. Yes it will link to iTunes U in the app store and you can then hit Open, but that is too drawn out of a process. We would like to know a way to just open the app directly.

Photo stream photos are only kept in iCloud for 30 days, even though a rolling collection of up to 1000 photo remain on your device until deleted. Whey you reconnected to your photo stream you only got back the photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.
You can keep photo stream photos permanently by saving them to your camera roll.

Yes. Back up the Library.
Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

johnh316, There is no so called Backup step. However, you can undo the changes using Ctrl+Z.
Else, suggestions given by JJMack are worth following.
Since you are using Camera Raw, you can anytime revert back to the default state by going choosing "Camera Raw Defaults" from the Options Menu.

Are you saying you were trying to backup your phone but instead it restored your phone from a backup that was two years ago
If so there is no way to recover the recent data that was lost because it wasn't back up.
