I was wondering if I can be notified by email when iOS 6 comes out.

Bear in mind, when iOS6 does come out, for the first 48-72 hours the servers will be swamped as 'everyone' tries to be the first to get the update. So those that hurry may have to struggle a bit more than those that wait a day or go for it at a non-peak time.
After every update like this the forum is usually very busy with 'i can't get the file' threads...and the key is usually to just be patient and possibly wait for the initial rush to fade.

Is there a way to show only flagged email on iOS Mail?

I use Exchange 2007 at work with Outlook 2010. I also use my iPad to connect to my company Outlook Web Access. On the iPad I am able to mark a message as flagged. I use the flag on a message to indicate that there's some action that I need to take on the email. After I skim my inbox and flag all the emails with actionable items in them I go to my smart folder in Outlook which shows only my flagged messages so I can focus on those with actionable items. I noticed on IOS Mail there does not seem to be such smart folders and there seems to be no way to view only messages which are flagged.
Can someone please explain how to do this on the iPad. It is very important to me. In fact, it's so important, that I would switch to Windows Phone platform just to have this one feature.

I too would love to filter my inbox down to just flagged emails - I'm on iPad 3 with latest iOS, though it seems latest OS is not the problem, but rather a simple oversight in usability, and more important productivity.
On the note of productivity, why does it take SO MANY clicks to flag an email on iPad mail? Have to hit Edit > mark the email > Mark > Flag. I count three superfluous taps there. There should be a swipe action on the left (much like the swipe and Delete on the right hand side of the email heading) for flagging. And a simple little flag symbol at the top to hit when I want to see only flagged mails. Productivity should be the name of the game.
I also realise that venting in this forum probably isn't the best place for it...

I just got an Iphone last week and have spent countless hours trying to manually delete emails from my Gmail account from over a year ago that have imported to my Mail account with apple. I have all of my gmail emails automatically forwarded into the Mail application on my Mac, and I thought I set it up right with my Iphone so I still get all those emails set to the phone now. But I am getting emails from years ago sent, and it is just being a huge pain to delete all of them manually. Does anyone have any suggestions? I want to get to recent emails on the phone, and only those. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to change the POP access in your Gmail account for mail that arrives from now on. For more information on changing POP settings in your Gmail account, please check out this article on Gmail's support site:

You should be prompted to enter your password when buying, if you aren't then on your iPhone you can set Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password to 'Immediately' so that it has to be entered for every purchase (that setting has a default of 15 minutes during which it doesn't need re-entering).

P.S. Since I am burning coasters lately with the Pioneer DVR-111D, I though that I might solve the problem by using a lower write speed.

I dn't believe so with Disk Utility although you can with Roxio Toast Titanium. I would try another media brand, like Verbatim, as a first step and see if the coaster problem goes away.

I have an Ipad app and I want to see if you can back up the data. Is there a way you can do this using the ios simulator and loading all of the data that you have on it onto the computer then back onto the ios simulator.

If you want to test backup of your app so that you know if it works for users, I don't believe that's possible. You'll probably need to use real hardware. But you can ask in the developer forums available either in the Communities or in your iOS Developer Program account and see if someone knows a workaround.

For global alerts, yes:
There is no need to do anything before the alert appears, and the MBA will not lose data should it go to sleep. If it goes to sleep at 0% you still have several hours to plug it in before it shuts down.
I wouldn't even bother displaying the percentage value.

You CAN delete all your email. Here's how: >> Open Inbox >> Edit >> Check/select the top message; it will highlight the move button. >> Press and hold the move button and uncheck the message that you had checked earlier. >> Lift all your fingers off from the ipad screen and leave it alone. Wait until all your messages pile up on the right hand portion of the screen (in ipad); iphone will give you the actual number of emails it has selected for the action. Now they are just waiting for your command to be moved ALL at once. >> Choose trash to delete all of them or any other folder where u want to move them, like one piece. Remember this will replicate your action on the server so you will ACTUALLY move them or delete them on the server and not just the ipad. Once you have moved all messages to the trash you can either leave them there for the scheduled cleaning or empty it right away by doing this: go to trash folder and touch Edit. The Delete All button shows up at the bottom of the screen. Hit it! You’re done! When you connect the device open iTunes and select it from the sidebar. Click on the Summary tab in the main window. Uncheck the option to automatically connect to iTunes. You will find it in the collection of options near the lower part of the window.

You can flag a thread to be watched and you can flag that all threads that you post to can be watched. To set this up click on the Watch this Thread link and then click on the Watch Options link alongside. You can unwatch at any time.
Your watched threads will have an icon of a small pair of binoculars to the left.
From the master list of all threads in the forum there is also a link called Watch Forum. I haven't tried it but presumably checking that means you get emails on everything. As suggested by Nancy below you may well get inundated. I don't think I would like to be informed of all threads as I like to visit in my own time, something that I do several times a day.

If you registered your Lightroom with Adobe after you installed it, you can log into your Adobe account and get your serial number from your account.
