This is generally handled by your e-mail provider, not your e-mail reader.
For example, I use Gmail and it filters spam before it ever gets to my inbox. If something does get through, I can move it to the spam folder on my iPhone to report it as spam.

Is there a way to import my yahoo mail address book?

AddressBook shouldn't have any problem with the vCard format - which Yahoo can export to... In fact, I've done this before.
On the Yahoo AddressBook page, click the link for 'Import/Export'
On the next page, in the export section, choose 'vCard single file'
Then in AddressBook, you can simply drag the vCard to the window or go to File>Import>vCards...

  • Is there any way to pull out computer Mac addresses from GPO?

    Hello!
I was wondering if there is any way to pull out the mac address from all the computers in the organisation via the group policy?
It would be rather difficult to pull out mac address one by one from each computer.
Appreciate your assistance and advise on this!
    Thank you so much :)

You can use group policy to run a startup or logon script to get the information and write it to some file/database.
You could also get the information remotely using a script.
You could also as your network guy for a list of IPs and MACs they see.
Group policy is intended to make settings, not to get information. However you can
set a startup or logonscript that reads out the information through group policy.
A sample script surely is available in the scriptcenter, but I think help on the specific script is more something or the scripting forums.

  • Is there a way to block email in Mail

I am hoping to find a way to block email in Apples "Mail"
I know about rules, and I am using them, but in this case I need to effectively BLOCK senders.
Where I live, I am restricted to satellite service provider which unfortunately is restricted by limited bandwith usage. much of the unwanted mail contains large image files (well, large enough to impact my bandwith allowance) and therefore I need to put a block on these addresses so they don't even enter my mail box.
    Any help out there?

You can use rules or the junk mail filter. No more bounce.

  • Is there a way to automatically save e-mail addresses to address book?

I know when composing an e-mail, command-Y will result in saving the address on the outgoing mail to the address book. Is there a way to set up mail so that ANY outgoing mail I send results in saving the e-mail to my address book - automatically, without the extra step of command-Y?

In that case, you may also find the following collection of AppleScripts useful:

  • Easiest way to import a bunch of addresses from text file to address book?

What is the easiest way to import text files to address book?
I have a Microsoft Word file with all of my addresses set-up like this:
    Johnny Appleseed
    Apple Computer
    1234 main St.
    Anytown, CT 06905
    203-321-4709

Is there some easy way to get them in there without having to copy & paste into each individual field.
    Thanks!

You can "Move to Junk" and it should start doing it automatically after a few times:

  • Is there a way of blocking websites on a ipod touch

wierd websites keep apearing on my safari pade i keep going back to the history folder to try and block them bt its no use.
is there a way to block pages on safari if know PLEASE TELL ME NOW!!!!!

Ok, just stop and think about the question for a minute.
The iPod is powered OFF and he wants to know if there is a way to turn the iPod ON "remotely" which implies he cannot physically push the On/Off switch to the ON position.
Because the iPod must be powered  ON for it to be connected to a wireless network, your answer makes no sense at all.
Therefore the answer to the question is NO.

  • Is there a way to block invitation notifications?

My company uses Google calendar. I have a personal calendar, and then everyone has access to the companywide calendar as well. This allows us to see every meeting happening in the company. When we create new events, we create them in the companywide calendar and invite ourselves as a participant.
The issue is that when I add my account to Calendar in Yosemite, both of my accounts show up. I also receive an invitation and notification every time someone adds an event to the companywide calendar, rather than just my personal calendar. I have "ignore alerts" set up for the companywide calendar, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Is there a way to block notifications from just the companywide calendar?

Mmm i THINK that ignore only applies to behaviour within ical so you don't get a '5 mins' alert for example that has been set on the item by the person adding it. .  -is the invitation notification showing from your email(where you get the window come up in the top right of your screen) -you can control who you get mail notifications from in your email. i have mine just set to VIPS and VIP anyone i need to see notifications from(you don't want the ones from yourself i guess)-you can turn off those completely in the notification centre for email. Not sure if that is exactly what your issue is.

  • Is there any way to block the shutdown of the device is protected by password? This function would help in case of theft with the issue of the find my iphone app.

is there any way to block the shutdown of the device is protected by password? This function would help in case of theft with the issue of the find my iphone app.

    Device experiences issues, locks up.
I need to do a reset.
How would I do that with a pass code lock in place?
    Wait until the battery dies?
Apple's changes in iOS 7 are smarter.
"Losing your iOS device feels lousy. Thankfully, Find My iPhone can help you get it back. But if it looks like that’s not going to happen, new security features in iOS 7 make it harder for anyone who’s not you to use or sell your device. Now turning off Find My iPhone or erasing your device requires your Apple ID and password. Find My iPhone can also continue to display a custom message, even after your device is erased. And your Apple ID and password are required before anyone can reactivate it. Which means your device is still your device. No matter where it is."

  • Is there any way to block accessing Exchange server

    Hello,
We are using iPhone as a business phone to
    access Exchange server using ActiveSync.
Is there any way to block non-company, in
other words private iPhone, iPhone to access
    Exchange Server?
Some users have 2 iPhones (1 provided by our
company, 1 purchased by himself/herself as
    a his/her private phone).
We would like to block those non-company iPhone.
If there is a way(s), please let me know!!
Thank you very much in advance.
    Regards,
    Tak

Block/Delete will appear if "Enforce Password on Device" is NOT ticked in ESM at the time when that particular iPhone (or other smartphone) was first joined to EAS.
Wipe/Delete will appear if "Enforce Password on Device" IS TICKED in ESM at the time when that particular iPhone (or other smartphone) was first joined to EAS.
The only difference is, if you first have "Enforce..." ticked and you join phones A,B,C, - they will always have WIPE next to that phone even if X months down the line, you untick "Enfore...".
If at that point (after unticking "Enforce..") you join phones D,E,F, they will have BLOCK next to their phone and always will have until you tick the "Enforce..." again and the user will be prompted to input a code when they next sync.
Again I repeat, the 'Lock code' when inputted into the phone acts as an agreement between the user & exchange that exchange has permission to wipe the phone remotely. Without that agreement ("Enforce..."), you should not have the WIPE function on those particular phones.
    Hope that makes sense.
