Is there a way to block the inappropriate content in the podcasts app?

Hello,
I am a husband, father and pastor and do a lot of podcast listening throughout the week, but was recently very disappointed to find some very adult content in the podcasts app under "top stations," with seemingly no way to block or monitor podcast content. I would love to not have those things in my face and for them to not be available to my young child to find, either.
Is there anything I can do to block the "top stations" functionality, or to block certain station-groups? Or to block any content at all in the podcasts app? There doesn't seem to be a way that I can see.

In your project's build settings there is an OSACompile - Build Options section where you can select the option to Save as Execute-Only. The run-only script isn't encrypted, but I haven't heard of anyone taking the time to decompile one. Note that even though the script is no longer easily readable, text strings and variable/method names can still be seen.

Is there a way to sync the Notes app on my iPod Touch with the Notes on my desktop without using iCloud

I've been reading some of the other threads about this issue, but most, if not all, suggest using iCloud. I'm wary of setting up an iCloud account because I've heard that "once your information is 'in the cloud' it can't be deleted", and I just don't know how true that is.
Is there a way to sync the two apps by some other means that bypasses "the cloud"?

I think that cloud privacy concerns are overdone - especially with Apple who don't have a vested interest in snooping through your data like Google does!
Do you use email? It's stored in the cloud on the providers servers - no matter who the provider is.
Do you use SMS on a phone? They're stored on a server somewhere!
Do you use the internet? The logs are stored at your ISP for some period of time - tracking everywhere you've been.
Thats why I am comfortable to use iCloud for most of my documents. If I want to transfer files very securely, I put them in an encrypted disk image on Dropbox.

I did buy the server app, went to the app store to download it. This system I'm using for downloads is Snow Leopard 10.6.8, it shows that I can download it but only as an Install which says I need 10.8. I can't seem to find a way for it to just download as a package or .dmg file so that I can copy it to DVD/CD or flash drive.

Hi. Is there a way to make the background useable? For example, you have a fullscreen only app in the background and you want/wanted (which is the correct grammar btw, those who're native speakers and why?) and you have Safari for some tutorial, is there a way to access the background app (for example if it's a drawing app you're learning).
It is possible I guess if the background is/was (which is the correct grammar again btw and why) was resizable.

Another way to be able to get to the tutorial in Safari would be to double-click the titlebar of the drawing app's window. Doing that should minimize it, dropping it into the Dock, thus making the Safari window visible. You can bring the drawing back up and front by clicking its icon in the Dock.
I can see a lot of confusion happening if it were possible to have the top window inactive and one in the back of it active. One would have to be really alert as to which window was the active one, to avoid something happening in the wrong place. I'm glad it doesn't work that way.
As far as the drawing app not behaving in accordance with Apple's guidlines re full-screen windows, well, that's on the publisher of the program. Apple publishes developer guidelines for a reason.

Yes....
On the new computer, launch iTunes. From the menu bar click click Store / Authorize This Computer.
Then re download your iTunes purchases.

Is there a way to block the hotspot from the actual phone

My stepdaughter has an iphone 5C. We are on a family share plan. I just checked her data and it's showing she has used 8.2G of data. When I asked her about it, she stated her mom has been using her hotspot . I called ATT to see what could be done and they said my only options are: put her on an individual plan that does not include hot spot access, or pay for smart limits. Is there any way to disable the hotspot from both the kid and her mom?

Is there a way to make the message+ app use wifi as default if wifi is available available?

I often am on WiFi with very little service and message+ tries to send it over service and if fails. I then have to turn on airplane mode and wifi to get it to send over the WiFi network. Is there a way to make this just happen automatically?

I can see that becoming pretty annoying, Garrett611. We do try extremely hard to make sure you get a reliable signal in as many places as possible. Since there are places where Wi-Fi is available but there's factors beyond our control that decrease cellular service, Wi-Fi is a great alternative! If you go into Verizon Messages > Menu > Settings > there is an option to Sync Over Wi-Fi only when connected to Wi-Fi.

Is there a way to open the settings app from an air app on both iOS and android?

Since you can't change the notifications settings within the app, is there a way to simply open the settings app from an air app? like a link or something like that?

Even on iOS this has only recently been added by Apple for iOS 8 only using the line:
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:UIApplicationOpenSettingsURLString]];
So you would have to wrap this in an ANE and then again, only for iOS and only call it in iOS 8+

Is there a way to track the Facebook app search history?

I've been trying to see if I can follow my son's search results in the Facebook app. There are questionable sites I prefer him not to search out. I can shut off the app and just have him use safari and track his movements that way, but would rather just use the app.

Is there a way to block the pop up window for Spotlight in Yosemite?

I want to keep the search in the corner of the screen and out of my way when I'm watching a video/multitasking. It is getting in the way of a lot of my work. I can't even move the window from the center of the screen. If not then spotlight is now just a nuisance. I'd rather use the search bar in the finder window because that can at least be moved to the bottom of the screen.

I have an iPhone 4. My kids are now using my old iPhone 3GS as an iPod touch. And...the last time I bought a Macbook we were given an iPod Touch. I basically have the same stuff on all of them. The idea is that any of my kids can pick up any one of those three devices and see the same setup. But anytime I download a new app via my phone, I have to go in and manually add it to the other two devices when I sync them to my computer. Is there anyway to make this a bit more automatic. Not really a necessity but it sure would make things less redundant and more fun!

You should be able to do this, but only if the iPod Touch is new enough to be able to upgraded to iOS 5. If so, make sure you update the 3GS and the Touch to iOS 5, and sign in with the same Apple ID at Settings > Store on both devices. Also, on that same page, turn Automatic Downloads on. That should take care of automatically adding apps purchased on one device to the other. Note that this won't work retroactively. So, any apps already purchased will not be automatically downloaded to the other device. It will start working for future purchases.
