Is there a way to calibrate gps on ipad?

Hi, I purchased an iPad Mini 2 (cellular version) a couple of weeks ago to use on my boat with the Navionics chart plotter app. The app shows the boat location as a triangle and a number of ways to view it, one of which is the boat heading view where the map rotates according to the direction of the boat. The problem I'm having is that the app basically shows the boat tracking diagonally across my screen (from bottom right to top left), where it should be dead center from bottom to top. I also notice that the direction it is pointing when not moving is always off by roughly 30-40 degrees. Obviously these two issues are probably related. I'm not sure whether it is a problem with the app or the iPad. As for the iPad I thought maybe it was an issue with the GPS and that it needs to be calibrated. I have been searching in vain for the compass app, only to realize it is not on the iPad. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to correct this problem?

Answered my own question. Firstly Apple should change this link as it is misleading - iPhone and iPad: Calibrating Compass - to say only iPhone. There is no Compass on the iPad. This kind of tied me up in circles for a while.
Meanwhile, to force a calibration of the compass on the iPad I had to open the Maps app and dial in an address to navigate to (also note, I don't have a SIM on this iPad so I had to teather it to my iPhone to get the network connection). Once that started I tapped the heading triangle to force a change on the heading display and almost immediately the calibration tool came up. Once the calibration was done my iPad displayed the correct heading on Maps as well as my Navionics app. Hope this helps other users.

If you are referring to photo albums no you can't create them on the iPad with the current iOS software. You could not do it on the iPad original either as stated above.
You can purchase third party apps that allow you to do so. One app that I know of is called Photo-Sort. I am sure there are others available in the app store if you care to search.

Yes but if I just wanted to get on the Internet I could have just bought a cheap tablet I can throw away when nothing works but Internet access. Wont b long and all the apps will b outdated. I'm creating fillable forms, in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, for medical professionals who are having their patients fill them out on iPads using the PDF Expert app. Is there a way to make the forms iPad aware?
For example, when you enter an event in your iPad or iPhone calander there's that wheel where you can choose the date. I want that wheel to show up when patients are filling out a date on their forms.
I know that you can alter the PDF form to extend to Reader so is there a way to do something similar with PDF Expert? Or is that not a possiblity yet?

There are a number of apps for the iPad/iPhone/eReaders/tablets that can process Acrobat forms but not LiveCycle Desiger forms. Adobe has Adobe Reader X for mobile.

No. You must connect your iPad to a computer (it does not have to be yours) in order to restore it to factory settings.
Once you're home, you can restore it from a backup.
Any content that you did not backup has been lost.

If you did not set up Find My iPad, then there is no way to track it. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPad (the iTunes Store, for instance).

If your cellular plan/carrier allows use of the iPhone as a hot spot, yes. Verizon does on some plans, at least in my area, but I can't speak for other providers.Set up on the iPhone is in the Settings App > Personal Hotspot.

it seems like every time I update to a new ios it just causes a new problem. not usually a big one, but something. last time (when I updated to ios 6) my app store kept crashing. this time the biggest problem I'm having is that since updating to ios 6.0.1 my voice control can't seem to understand me. I have pretty much given up on voice control for now, which means I don't get to change what I'm listening to if I'm driving, since I'm very safety conscious and will not look at the screen to change it. does anyone know if there is a way to calibrate the voice control?

The iPad, like the iPod Touch and the iPhone was really designed to be a single user device. It was originally designed to be used in conjunction with ones personal iTunes library and one library only. Now it has gone PC free, but it still works the same way that it did at the inception, meaning it is still best suited as a single user device.
If you sign in and out of different Apple ID's on the iPad and you download past purchases with another ID, you will lock yourself out of the other ID for 90 days becuse you have associated the device with another Apple ID. You can read more about that here.

You can have multiple iCloud accounts (up to 3 I think) on the device, but to me that serves no real purpose if you can't associate the device with multiple ID's without worry of being locked out of your own ID.
