Is there a way to close an app without it going in background multitasking?

Hi guys,
I find annoying having to always doubletap the home button to close whatever application I have just used ( such as after checking an email).
When i don't need the app to run in the background withiltitasking is there a way just to kill it here and there as soon as I've finished using it?
Many thanks
Nico

I agree that voice control is useless. That's why on my phone when you hold down the home button, the quick compose for text comes up. This way, I can send a text no matter what I'm doing (surfing, watching a vid, gaming, etc..)
Also, stop being one of those people that worries about multitasking. They're not really running. After checking your email, there is no benefit gained from killing the application.

There is no way to close all apps at once. When you leave an app , most apps stop working immediately. A few apps will continue to complete the task they were working on. Mail is an example of that. There is a short time limit though after which the app stops running and the state you left it in is stored. Quitting apps does not increase battery life.

    Not with your current Apple ID. You have to create a new Apple ID using these instructions from Apple, exactly as written;

I want to install apps using itunes from my pc but there is only on option for doing that i.e. itunes replace the installed apps with apps on itunes. Is there any other way for doing that without replacing my apps ???

Ipod touch will sync with one computer at a time.  If you sync to another then it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.

  • Is there a way to install CC apps without the CC destkop?

As many, I am facing problems with CC desktop, the application aimed to help users install and update their Creative Cloud goodies. Unhappily, all tries using solutions referred here in the Forum resulted in the same fail.
I need to install other apps from CC package, which I am paying for. But this is impossible until Adobe releases a solution for this issue. So I would like to know if is possible to bypass this CC desktop. The download area from Creative Cloud site just points to it and there is no direct download available from Adobe site.
I think to offer a provisory direct download option is the minimun Adobe could do to CC users in the same situation.

if you follow all 7 steps you can dl a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your adobe id.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

If you need something with a bit more heft to it as far as formatting choices go, try Bean - it's a free word processor.
Bean: An OS X Word Processor
And, your iMac may have come with Pages already installed. It's a full-fledged word processor.

  • Is there a way to email a form without it going to the outbox of the sender

I'd like to use fillable forms on my website. The problem happens when the submit button is selected and if the user has Outlook or a MAPI mail program, the PDF form goes to the Outbox.  I have no way of telling if responders have a MAPI complient email app or not.  The Outlook users would have to wait until they perform a send/receive.  Is there anyway to avoid this and immediately send the email to the address intended???

No, the document has no way of controlling this. Users may not even have a working email client installed, and instead have to manually attach the form or data file to an email. Many people use web-based email clients.
A much more reliable approach is to set up the form to be submitted to a web server, but this involves programming and managing the server. You can also distribute the form in Acrobat and use the Acrobat.com option of collecting the forms. The downside is you have no control of the server when things go wrong or if you need to customize.

There's generally no reason to be closing them that way at all. The apps you see in the recents bar are just that, apps that you used recently. Most of them are doing absolutely nothing. The only apps that are really doing anything in the background are ones that play music and ones that are using location services. Just leave them be.
    Best of luck.

  • Is there a way of quitting an app only by pressing on the red button?

    Hello.
I'm a new Mac user (my MacBook Air bought on April, 17th).
I was wondering, is there a way of quitting an app by pressing on the red button only, without pressing on the app name on the menu bar and and then on "Quit X"?
If it's possible, I will be glad to here the way.
    Idanref.

No.  The red x closes the window but not the application.  An exception is when an app can only have 1 window open. (Like system preferences).   A quick way to close the app is to press CMD Q  on the keyboard.

    No.
One of you create a new AppleID and one use the existing AppleID.
But you can still use the items in each iTunes library.
Create separate computer logins for each of you.
This will give you each your own data. Contacts, calendars, photos, etc. (and your own iTunes library).
