Is there a way to combine 2 avi files into 1 file?

I have video clip split into 2 avi files and I want to combine them into 1 long file so I can convert the file type (I have iSquint) and import it to iTunes and then to my iPod. The best I can figure out is using iMovie but that makes the files HUGE and it says its gonna take 170+ min just to compress it for my iTunes.
So is there an easier and quicker way to combine these 2 files, because I hate part 1 and part 2 when watching videos.

If you like isquint then you will love it's big brother VisualHub from the same people.
http://www.techspansion.com/visualhub/
It has a facility to 'stich videos together' which is, I assume, what you want.
It is not free but pretty cheap
There are lots of other features
PS I have no connection with techspansion but I do like their software and attitude

I ripped a 2-CD album to iTunes on my PC.  It downloaded as 5 separate albums.  Is there a way to combine those back into the original one album?

Yes there is tho it may get pretty redundant if you have many 2-CD albums as i had once. Using the "control" key select all five albums. Right click the selected albums and select "Get Info". If this is your first time it may ask you if you are sure you want to edit multiple albums. Click "Yes". Fill in / affirm the correctness of the grid in fron of you. Check all of the boxes BUT THE TRACK #  BOXES AND ARTWORK . This will tell iTunes that all of the albums are one and the same. click "ok". One album with the correct title should appear. Select all the tracks that were on the second disk and again right click and select get info. enter into the disk # space "2" of "2". If your version of iTunes is up-to-date this will make it a 2 disk album. If you would like you get select "Get Info" again just to make sure all is good.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is there a way to combine two accounts into one?

I have an account for itunes and an account for my iphone.  The problem is I need to change my itunes account email address and it will not let me.  I do not have access to that email account any longer.  I do not want to lose my itunes and programs that I have already paid for under the email address I do not have access to any more.  How can I attach it to my other account?

You cannot merge two Apple IDs. You cannot share purchases with other Apple IDs although there is a temporary form of sharing.

  • Combine avi with Avchd files in Premiere elements 10

I am trying to make a DVD using clips that were taken with my old camcorder which was DV, and using clips from my new camcorder which is AVCHD.  Premiere elements 10 lets me do this, but it appears that my HD files are not the same quality as what I see just looking at the clip with the camera directly hooked to the TV.  A dialouge box comes up and states when I bring the DV clips into the project that it will reduce the quality to standard definition.   Is there  a way to combine these types of files in the same project and keep the HD quality of the new clips?

You are already spoilt by seeing your HD stuff!
I think you will find that the normal old standard DVD player never showed the full capability that stadard def was capable of. You had to get a $1000 player to see it as it really is. So it was never quite as good as component video straight from the camera or seeing it captured on your computer.
Good Blue Ray players play old DVD much better because they are getting everything off the disk that it is capable of.
BlueRay will overtake DVD in the reasonable near future like DVD overtook VCRs so you should make a Blue Ray disk for the future. If other viewers still need DVD you can make a DVD from the HD project.
    To make a Blue Ray--
Buy and install a Blue Ray burner in your computer (less than $100)
Setup as a FullHD project 1920x1080 25frames interlaced (or 30 for USA)
Import both clips where you want them. AVI and AVCHD mix well
Sharpening the avi clips a little helps make up for the loss in resolution
Share to a Blue REay disk (make sure the blank disk is fast enough for the burner because Adobe burns only at full speed. If using slower disks then share as a file and use another program to burn the disk (see other posts on this)
To make a DVD (before you buy the BD burner), make anopther copy of your projrct and add about 20% sharpening and share the above project to DVD. It looks a bit poor on your TV but will look pretty well as good as an original DVD made form the AVI clips when viewed on your TV
To make a DVD only, first convert the AVCHD to AVI and sharpen them then make a normal DVD project as everything will now be AVI. The origimnal AVI clips will be better but the HD will obviously be only one quarter of the resolution.
I recently made such a DVD from my Sony $1000 FullHD camera and the DVD copy when played on my Pioneer Blue Ray player on the TV was just as good as old DVDs made with my previous Sony $1800 Widescreen SD camera. The Blue Ray copy of course was brilliant!
The amout of sharpening involves personal preference and depends on how sharp the original material is.
People wilth good eyesight might see it as oversharpening whereas it can look great to those less foertunate or old people not wearing their glasses!
While they may have a reasonable resolution for file detail, some HD cameras dont have a good "depth of resolution" at mid frequencies that represent the upper limit of fine detail for SD cameras. When downsized to SD, the picture from the HD camera can actually be fuzzier than an old SD camera that was tweaked up to look sharp on an old TV.
So you have to add this extra tweaking to comnpensate (a bit like turing up the audio treble control to hear the snare drums on a portable radio)
If destined for viewing on a TV set, the limit of sharpening is where the edges of objects start to crinkle excessively or the video noise becomes excessive. This should be evaluated only on the TV where it will finally be shown and at the TV viewing distance (not on a computer and not too close up)
To avoid wasting blank disks you can make a test disk of the same few scenes with different amounts of sharpening. Try a long shot, mid shot and closeup as the subjecvt material also influences the eye's perception of sharpness.

  • 2 libraries need to consolidate. Is there a way to combine these?

I moved all my files to a new external drive. Then I added a few more files but now I have 2 library files in 2 locations. One location has all the old files, the other location has the new files.
Is there a way to combine these two library files?
All of the music files in both libraries are in the same iTunes folder, but one library is IN the iTunes folder and the other is OUTSIDE the iTunes folder.
Now when I "choose library" I have to go to one or the other library. I need to combine these.
    What can I do???

All the music is in the same folder. But for some reason I have 2 libraries that locate different tracks within the same iTunes music folder.?!

  • Is there a way to combine multiple files that were scanned individually into one?*

Is there a way to combine multiple files that were scanned individually into one?*

Assuming the scans are all PDFs, here is one easy way:
Open the first PDF in Preview.
Duplicate (File > Duplicate) if you want to preserve the original.
    Choose View > Contact Sheet.
Drag and drop the other files from the Finder into the Contact Sheet window. You can select the files one at a time or multiple files at once.
Arrange the contact sheet icons in the desired order.
    Save.

With the timeline selected, go to File/Export/Movie and export each as a DV-AVI video.
You can then combine those AVIs into a new project with virtually no loss of quality.

  • Is there a way to combine existing animated gifs?

I have several animated gifs that I would like to watch in a sequence (one after another). Is there a way to combine them, and if not, is there an existing program that could accomplish that?
    Thanks

Absoluety. You'll want to open your gif files in Photoshop by going to File > Import > Video Frames to Layers...
Then you'll select all of your frames from one gif and copy them over into the video frames of the other gif. You'll do all of this in the Animation menu in Photoshop (Window > Animation, or Window > Timeline for CS6). You can paste the frames to whichever point you want, just make sure to designate the location by clicking on the frame you'd like them to be inserted at.
Here's a tacky, yet extremely simple video tutorial on this process

I have two apple id's   Is there a way to combine them?
I have on id.   xxxx.xxxx@gmail. com (This account in gmail was hacked so I no longer use this id) and this was associated with my first MacBook Pro.
I purchased another Macbook Pro and set up an ID using [email protected]
In ITunes....there is music associated with the gmail account that I cannot play.
Is there a way to combine the two Id's so I can play all my music.   I am keeping the [email protected] id.

Apple IDs can’t be merged. If desired, click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for assistance.

  • Is there a way to combine the best of slideshow and tooltip widgets?

I am trying to produce a sliding menu similar to the "Now Playing" movies listed on this website : http://themoviehouse.com/
where you can mouse over and a box pops up and stays up so that you can click links within the box. The catch is that I need this box to disappear when the mouse is not on it so that content behind the box is again visable.
I have seen this on so many websites so I assume can build this in Muse.
Obviously with tooltip the box does not stay open. With a slideshow, the box does not disappear when you are done.
Is there a way to combine the two or is there another widget that allows me to create what I am looking for?

Install the Apple Configurator (osx only) and it will cache the iOS update on there after it's been installed once.  From then on each device you plug-in will take the update from Apple Config without having to download it.  I have this setup on a macbook air and it saves me a lot of time.
The updates are device specific so make sure you update one iPhone 4, one 4S, one 5, one iPad etc before heading out to sea.  I thought installing the update on an iPhone 4S will work on an iPhone 5 but the first iPhone 5 I connected needed to download.

Not directly no - there is this work-around which should still work on iOS 6, or you could see if any of the third-party email apps in the app store support a password, or just access your account via Safari (you can create a homescreen shortcut for your account's login page)

  • Is there a way to import metadata to wav files in my library?

Is there a way to import metadata to wav files in my library?
I have about 1,500 .wav files that are presently in my iTunes library, but as most of you are aware .wav files have their limitations with regard to how iTunes translates their specific track information. I haven't been archiving using .wav in sometime, I've since switched to another more iTunes friendly format. But, I have these 1,500 files left and I'm desperately trying to find a faster way to log the info.
I've built a data table with all of the track information I want to import. Does anyone know of a good macro, or script that will allow me to import this data so I don't have to manually open each individual .wav file and input this manually?
    Any help would be appreciated!
Note: I've searched the forums, and I've looked at similar posts, but nothing to solve this specific little quandary. If I've somehow overlooked a post, please forgive my repeat post.

I can probably help with this.
I have a script called TagFromFilename that can apply fill in the details that can be extracted from the file path if the .wavs are stored in the layout <Album Artist>\<Album>\[D-]## <Name>[ - <Artist>].<Ext> where D is an optional leading disc number and <Artist> is an optional trailing artist (otherwise both artist and album artist are set to the grandparent folder). You just need to make sure that before you add the tracks to iTunes, that it won't rename the files. You can do this by turning off the Keep option if the files are inside the media folder, or the copy option if the tracks are located outside.
Alternatively I have another script called ExportImport which allows for almost any editable to be adjusted, as long as you can export the internal track IDs of each track and then marry them up with the data you want to import. See Batch Add Comments Tag Solution? for a previous example of how if might be done. I'll gladly go into more detail if you tell me what fields you already have and what identifying information is present.

You can't combine or merge iCloud IDs, but you can migrate the iCloud data from one account to another if you wanted to move it to a different ID.
