Is there a way to combine multiple files that were scanned individually into one?*

Assuming the scans are all PDFs, here is one easy way:
Open the first PDF in Preview.
Duplicate (File > Duplicate) if you want to preserve the original.
Choose View > Contact Sheet.
Drag and drop the other files from the Finder into the Contact Sheet window. You can select the files one at a time or multiple files at once.
Arrange the contact sheet icons in the desired order.
Save.

To clarify, I want to be able to make a flie I can take to a photo printing place (not for my own printer) so they can print it and I crop it. The place I used to print at used to print an 8"x12" for the same price as 8"x10" (now they may only do 8x10 and I would need to keep the ratio the same so it would be two 3.3"x10" pics on an 8x10"). Select one and click cmd-A which selects them all.
Then click the import button if it hasn't started already.

Roamingnome, thanks for your response. Although I have been a Bell (Canada) customer for my WiFi signal for years, the 5c and its necessary mobility plan, is very recent. Some years ago, Bell supplied its own ‘router’ for my computer, and claimed that it was possible to get their WiFi signal only with the router they supplied. When I recently received the 5c, I wondered if the plan it requires, which is within the much wider, overall Bell zone, could be used somehow to get my Air online - some sort of tethering? - that allows me to give up the Air WiFi service and router all together, but still get the Air connected. Here in Canada, Bell Mobility and other Bell services are very separate. Any suggestions appreciated.

I can no longer print PDF files that were scanned with the very same MX479 on Windows XP, SP3

I can no longer print PDF files that were scanned with the very same MX479 All-in-One.
I have an (obsolete) Windows XP, SP3 computer. Obviously, no updates from Microsoft
have occurred that might have impacted my Canon Pixma MX479.
When I attempt to send 1 or more pages from a PDF file to the printer, I don't even get the
Canon PIXMA popup that would allow me to cancel the print job.
Yet the Print Queue icon appears in the lower right corner of my monitor.
If I view the Print Queue, the print queue shows "spooling" and does nothing more.
If I attempt to CANCEL the print job in the Print Queue, it simply changes to "deleting -
spooling".
I cannot cancel the print job that shows NOT RESPONDING via Task Manager, either.
In fact, the only way the Print Queue icon disappears is if I totally reboot my computer!
"Luckily", I can still print e-mails, Word documents, and even my downloaded PDF of my
bank statement.
So, I was thinking that it was *only* PIXMA'S OWN SCANNED PDFS that could not be
printed ON THE SAME PIXMA 479.
However, I have since realized that I also cannot print USPS Signature Proof of Delivery
PDFs that I received from USPS via e-mail.
So why can I print *some* PDF files, but not *all* PDF files, like I previously could do?
THESE SCANS ARE OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS, SO I WILL LIKELY HAVE TO E-MAIL
THE REQUISITE, PREVIOUSLY SCANNED PDFS TO FEDEX TO PAY FOR *THEM*
TO PRINT THEM.
NOTE: I *have* tried turning the PIXMA off, unplugging it, rebooting the computer, plugging
the PIXM in and restarting the PIXMA - still no ability to print PIXMA-scanned PDFs.
And, I find it very strange that e-mails, Word documents, and some other PDFs print with
no problem "around" "NOT RESPONDING" PIXMA print jobs.
I have owned Canon printers for years, including the MX420, and the MX340.

There may be some security issues related to the USPS PDFs.

I can't help with the scan/print problem. You seem to have done everything I would try.
I don't know if maybe using a registry cleaner would help.

I was wondering if java has any way to display a file that contains both text and pictures. I have tried using the RTFEditorKit and using an RTF file and it only diplays the text contained in the file and omits the pictures all together.

Not good as that usually means the project itself was corrupt.
Any chance you sync'd to Creative Cloud? That's the only way I know of that backs up your PS Touch (PSDX) files.

I downloaded (legally) a font family, containing multiple weights. However, when I try to install it on Font Book, each weight comes out as a separate font. Is there a way to combine all the weights into one font?

Not without a font editor so you can give each font an identical family name.

All ipad apps are not neccessarily compatible with iphone. There are some universal apps.

I want to send multiple files from pages, cover letter and resume, but when I select both files, the share icon goes dull and it can't be selected. Is there a work around for this?

Are you aware that someone without Pages cannot open the files? And that Pages will only run on OS X? Your best bet is do save the files as PDFs, then just drag the icons into your open email.
