Is there a way to convert an entire PDF doc (not just one page) to two-tone (blue)?

I know how to convert a page at a time to blue, but need to be able to do entire documents. Is it possible?

It would be best to convert in the program that was used to originally create the PDF file. Or you can use a PDF file editor.
Photoshop is not a PDF file editor. Photoshop is a PDF file rasterizer .

I have a PDF with music created through InDesign, but Acrobat only allows the pages to self-turn if played in full view mode. This cannot work on a website. I have a number of Ms Word documents because I used to have Word for Mac before the last OS release. Now, of course, when I double-click on them, I get a message saying that PowerPC isn't supported.
Now Pages will open these files. Is there any way to change the default for *.doc files so that a double-click will open them in Pages?
(Instead of me going to the trouble of finding out where they are actually located on the hard drive so that I can open pages and say - here, open this file--even though you didn't create it--)

So, I am having a problem with a particular page. After 2 hours of being online with bluehost, we discovered that when I republish in iweb, it does not seem to replace the old files in bluehost. The only way to see the changes is to delete the bluehost file and then republish. The problem is, I would have to rebuild the entire page in order for it to show up as a fully functioning page online because iweb seems to only publish the changes you make, rather than the entire page or entire website.
What I want to know is...is there a setting I can change so that my entire website gets uploaded when I publish rather than just the individual change?
Or...is there a way to trick iweb into thinking its never uploaded that website before?

It is kind of strange that the files are not being overwritten. If you publish to a local folder and upload with an FTP app you should be able to set this to over write the old files.

Is there a way in fcpx to keep timeline clean for just one scene at a time ?

It would be so wonderful if I could just see the scene I'm working on in the timeline rather than the whole project....
I tried to make a compound clip of all the material related to one scene and double clicked it ....it opened in a single timeline but I felt it behaves a little differently than the parent timeline when it comes to making tracks.....
To be impractically point blank....is there a way of making the project timeline empty when Im treating one particular scene such that I don't see anything else .....and can bring back everything when I want ?

You can't really make the clips "disappear" completely, but you can go a long way to making the workspace more pliable.
Open the Timeline index (2nd icon, bottom left of FCPX) and click the Roles tab. To the right of each role is a small icon.
["normal" timeline view... thumbnails, audio waveforms, etc..]
Clicking on those icons will "minimize" the onscreen information (turn off the thumbnails and audio waves, etc) creating "blank" placeholders.

You can go one step further and select the clips you want to turn off and type V to toggle their "visibility" (this will eliminate anything from those clips from showing up in the canvas -- it will just be "black" and silent until toggled back on — *and* it will dim the clips further [see next image]).
You can then Assign a custom Role (go to Modify > Edit Roles) and create new custom Video role (and possibly audio too, if you need to isolate waveforms and have them show in your workspace). For the clips you want to work with immediately, select them all and Assign Roles > whatever name you used. In the illustration below, I used "Under Construction". (You can also toggle the canvas visibility of the clips off by *unchecking* the role in the Roles inspector.)
At the right side of the image, you'll see a normal looking clip amongst the "blanked out" clips on the storyline — it was assigned the role "Under Contruction" and its setting overrides the default Video settings. This technique should help you adequately isolate your "working scenes". When you've done, you can either create another role ("finished") or revert the roles back to the plain Video and/or Audio (Dialogue) default roles. (Remember to select and type V again to turn their visibilities back on.)

Please tell me how to print an entire e-mail received on free hotmail, not just one page that only gives part of message

I have tried adjusting the number of pages in the print window but this has no effect. If I ask for the e-mail on screen to be printed, it will not print more than the one page. This is not acceptable when the entire text content is required. I'm sorry to be a pain, but I get frustrated knowing that the information is there and I cannot find a way of getting it all printed off. Please Help an old duffer striving to cope with a system that has no soft spot for an old codger.

I don't believe that this issue is a Firefox issue. I think that it is an issue on Microsoft's end.
I good may to avoid this issue, is to copy and paste the email text into a word processing program. You can then print from there.

It tells you how to bypass the protection on a single page and you can do it on a page by page basis. But I am using pearson labs for schools and it blocks the media on the exams. I can only access the exam once. I can't reload it for ever new page or I get locked out before i am finished. Is there a way to enable all of pearson labs?

The developers did consider adding the ability to make a "per server" exception, but ultimately that was not added (maybe because different pages on a site can have different levels of data sensitivity and/or different sources of mixed content, so it would undermine safety).
Unfortunately, I think you might need to temporarily disable mixed active content blocking during the time you use this site if you cannot reload pages.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box that appears above the list, type or paste '''mixed''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''security.mixed_content.block_active_content''' preference to switch it from true to false

Is there a way to add an entire list of words at one time to persdict.dat?

I added an entire list of words (several hundreds) to persdict.dat each word on a separate line then saved the file and all looked OK. However, none of those words are recognized as OK by Firefox's spell check. Clearly, that's not the way to do it. It seems one must use the "Add to dictionary" thingie FOR EACH WORD, WORD BY WORD in order for it to be recognized by Firefox's spell check. There has to be a better way.

I solved the problem a couple days ago. The mistake I made was that I neglected to shut Firefox down before making the changes to persdict.dat. Once I did that, everything worked as I expected it to work after bringing Firefox up again. I guess that's the equivalent of what you suggested. Thanks for your response.

Is there any way in Adobe Reader to limit printing to only one page at a time?

We have a large piece of internal knowhow in the form of a pdf document that we don't want users to be able to print in one go as it would risk the document leaving the premises. We are quite happy with users using print screen for single pages, but that doesn't really produce readable results.
So ideally we'd like users to be able to select print, but when they do it should only allow 'print current page' or just print the first chosen page instead of the whole selection. For instance, selecting pages 123 - 145 should only print page 123.
I've looked in to various areas already. We are delivering this document through a secured version of Adobe Reader via Citric application streaming, so are able to customise the config.js file any way we want, however I've looked through the Java Reference Guide and haven't been able to identify anything that might satisfy our requirement this.
I've also looked in to Document Actions such as "Document will print", but again (perhaps due to a personal lack of programming knowledge) am unable to find a way to fix the print option to a single page.
Any ideas/suggestions much appreciated.

The sponsor is not happy for low res printing either. As an organisation we should be looking at DRM more closely, and we've added to the requirement with this problem. We are also going to look in to the option of attaching metadata and scanning that at our exit points (e-mail, printers, usb's, etc.) so that users have free reign internally but can't send sensitive documents out. Obviously it's all going to be very expensive!

There is an option of embedding index for faster search while converting email to a PDF .
However I am not sure that will serve your purpose or not .
I would recommend you to get in touch with Microsoft support as well .

Is there a way to download an entire shared photo stream to your iOS device from the url?

I recently dropped my iPhone, resulting in a pretty total breaking of it. Luckily, apply care is awesome and I got my phone replaced the next day. My only issue is that I lost the ~3000 photos I had taken on a recent trip to Japan. These photos were saved on a photo stream that was then shared with others that went on the trip, however. My question is: is there a way to download that entire stream back onto my iPhone? Where I am I do not have internet access a lot of the time, and would like access to those photos all the time, as I would be able to if they were saved on my phone.

Indeed, photos can be downloaded to your iPhone. Videos, however, cannot be downloaded to your device.
Can photos and videos be saved or downloaded from a shared album?
Yes. After photos are shared, anyone who can view the shared album can download and keep them permanently. Videos can only be downloaded to a Mac or PC. On an iOS device, videos are streamed from iCloud and can't be downloaded.
On a compatible iOS device, you can save photos to your Photos tab or Camera Roll.

You must go in the labview option menu, you can select 'use the local
separator' in the front side submenu (LV6i).
If you use the "From Exponential/Fract/Eng" vi, you are able to select this
opton (with a boolean) without changing the labview parameters.
