Is there a way to copy layer comps into another photoshop document?

Designing a website and using layer comps. Since there's a couple of sections (3 sections) that can be worked on independently, I'm wondering if it's possible copy layer comps from one document to another. The file size is getting big and I'm trying to make changes to all documents consistently. help anyone?

That requires you to insert the pdf on both pages, one hanging half over to the right and the other half over to the left.

Script to copy Layer/Group to another Open Document?

Hi, I know this topic has been covered many times before. But to clarify, here's what I'm wondering:
Copy the active layer/group to another open document in Photoshop. The simple way is to go to "Layer/Duplicate Layer..." . But this is very tedious. For starters, when you choose that method, and then select the document that you'd like to copy to via the pull-down menu, it successfully copies the layer/group to that document, but it doesn't auto-switch (activate) to the document it was just copied to. You have to hit "Ok", and then manually search through the open documents list via (Window/*choose your document*) to get there. This is a nightmare when you're trying to do this many times.
Here is what I am wondering:
Is it possible to:
a) copy the active layer/group to the clipboard/memory
b) switch to another existing document in Photoshop *via a custom menu* which shows all existing documents
c) once switched to the new existing document, paste that layer/group from the clipboard into that document
..is that possible?
At the very least, are there any scripts that anyone knows of that allows the user to switch between existing documents via a custom menu instead of going to Window/*choose your document* ?

This might help with Groups and some other kinds of Layers.
But it takes the easy route with the target file by using the name to identify it.

I use Illustrator a lot to create website designs, and pepper the PDFs with comments on how everything should work. Is there a way to have those comments embedded into the AI so that I don't have to enter in the comments every time I export a PDF?

Template are the pre-designed document in which you do the modification as per the need.

when creating the new file , base it upon the template so that you have the comment already present in the Ai.

When I import video clips into an iMovie event it seems that iMovie uses only a reference to the file. When files are moved things get horrible broken soon. I noticed that iMovie does actually copy video clips into your library when you convert your library from iMovie'11 to iMovie'13. Is there a way to copy video clips into the iMovie library when importing them so that they don't get lost?

Best way to import layer comps as states in Catalyst?

Is there a native way in Catalyst to break the layer comps into separate states?
Right now it seems my only recourse is to manually export layer comps to separate images from photoshop and then arrange them as states in Catalyst. Of Course this way I lose my layers and other psd information. Having a proliferation of psds will become unwieldy very quickly.

Automatically converting Photoshop layer comps to States in Catalyst is not within the scope of version 1.0. However support for individually identifying layer comps and importing them is. In Beta 1, there's a bug that keeps this latter functionality from working correctly. So be on the lookout for a fix in the next beta build. You can spot this feature in the Advanced Photoshop import dialog (click the Adv. button at lower left of the basic Import dialog). In the Advanced settings, you'll see a drop down menu of available comps is presented. But due to the bug, Beta 1 doesn't pay attention to what you choose in this menu.
Once we fix the above bug, for 1.0 the suggested workflow is: Import the initial application state's layer comp using the Advanced dialog; then generate a new blank state in Catalyst and import the next layer comp/appearance state there. Currently, hidden artwork is always ignored via the Advanced dialog, so you won't end up with duplicate objects after importing multiple comps.
A couple of additions that should be helpful in future builds: a) Rather than always ignoring hidden layers in the Advanced dialog you'll be presented with a choice to either preserve or ignore them, b) when importing, we'd like to compare the artboard's dimensions to the dimensions of an incoming file and subsequently align the two if they match. This function coupled with Catalyst's pixel snapping should ensure that artwork in each layer comp is properly aligned with that which exists in another application state.

If you want to share albums on dropbox or similar web services, set the album in your custom order and use the export command to a temporary folder on your computer. To keep the sort order, use the option to rename with a common starting text string plus an order number. Since you'll upload those files to Internet, also use the resizing feature to export in a reasonable size, not too big for uploading/downloading, and not too small if you want your relatives to able to print and not only to view.
So, you'll get a folder ready to upload and share via Dropbox or another Web service.

I am using Premiere 6 on a Windows 7 machine.
Is there a way to copy and paste a clip from the timeline in one project in to another project?... I can copy my clip, but when I open the other project, it will not allow me to paste it in there... but I am able to copy and paste a clip within a single project. I tried everything... pasting in to a new video track and pasting in to an existing video track in the second project, but the paste option simply isn't there when I open the second project.
And if Premiere itself will not allow me to do this in any way, will a copy-paste clipboard type of accessory app allow me to do this?... if so, which is the best, trustworthy copy-paste app that is malware free?

I just read the page that you provided about "Handles"... thanks allot for that ARTICLE. In your article and the subsequent article HANDLES, "Transitions Overview: applying transitions" linked from your article, it indicates (in PrE and PrPro anyway - I'm in Premiere 6) that transitions can be applied to non-Video 1 tracks... the paragraph below is a quote from that "Transitions Overview: applying transitions" article...
"Whatever is below the transition in a Timeline panel appears in the transparent portion of the transition (the portion of the effect that would display frames from the adjacent clip in a two-sided transition). If the clip is on Video 1 or has no clips beneath it, the transparent portions display black. If the clip is on a track above another clip, the lower clip is shown through the transition, making it look like a double-sided transition."
So this indicates that transitions can be applied to non-Video 1 tracks since it is referring to content in tracks beneath a transparent fade that would show through... and only non-Video 1 tracks can be transparent and have other clips "beneath" them in the timeline, right?
In the screenshot sample in your article at this LINK, I see the handles (referred to as B and E) and I can see in my monitor window how those handles would be represented by the two little bracket symbols { } ... you can see how they appear in my monitor window in Premiere 6 in this screenshot, and below, from a different thread that isn't related to this topic.
But I'm still trying to figure out how the handles can be applied in the non-Video 1 tracks in the timeline to insert a transition (cross-dissolve) between two clips.
Can you advise me on this?... I posted a separate thread HERE on this topic, but I haven't got any further with finding an answer.

Are you sure that you can transfer contacts from the iPod to Skydrive?
I would try the links that I previusly provided and try to get iTunes to see the iPOd so you can do everthing right.
If you find a computer that can see the iPOd yu can update the iPod on that computer. See:

We are getting message from XI using inbound proxy and sending response asynchronously by outbound proxy.
my question: " is there any way to copy or to move incoming proxy fields to ABAP backend fields?"
for ex: we are getting Name structure from proxy wit fields firstname and lastname.
and proxy will generate some structures for name. backend ABAP system will have structure name with two fields having fname and lname as data elements.
so how can we directly move proxy fields to ABAP fields? ( here in example there are only two fields but real scenario we will have thousands of fields for which we cannot map manually from proxy fields to ABAP fields.)
please help me in this regard.

if you have control over the proxy:
Create your interface at XI like the structure in backend system. Same structure and same fieldnames. If you regenerate your proxy you can use abap order "MOVE CORRESPONDING" to map all fields.

You can use this simple workariound:
copy the desired text and paste it in a simple text editor app like notepad (win) or textedit (mac).
Then copy this unformatted text and paste it in photohop.

I've entered a bunch of info into Aperture in the caption metadata field. I want to publish some of my photos using iLife applications......iDVD, iWeb. Is there any way to copy the info in my captions field so that I can attach the same info in the comments/caption field in the other apps?
I'm new at this......so, I'm looking for some help. One of the reasons I want to use iWeb is that it will allow me to make a blog - so that viewers can respond to each photo. I'm trying to identify people in photos....and I already have a lot of info in the caption field and want to display it on the Internet.

If nothing else works, you will have to export the images with metadata included and then reimport those images into your other applications. There may be a better way though -- I'm not an iWeb user.

I've tried the "Copy" entry as well as the calendar selection list, but neither work for me for non-iCloud subscribed calendars. It seems like I should be able to copy and event from one calendar into another.

It works here.
Control-Click the event and select 'copy'. Click on the calendar you want to paste the event to, so it is highlighted with a grey background. Then select 'paste'.
