You should be able to tap and hold the photo and after a second or two you should get a 'Save Image' option appear, which should save it to the Camera Roll album in the Photos app. If you want to you can then copy them to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

  • HT2639 Is there any way in i Photo '11 to crop a photo in an irregular manner? (e.g., scanned newspaper columns of varying sizes and lengths)

I want to edit some scanned newspaper prints to include only the columns in which I am interested. Is there any way to crop the scanned photo in an irregular manner so as to include only the relevant section?

You can do it in iPhoto, if the crop you want is rectangular and not a standard format.
Do it in iPhoto, by choosing Edit > Crop > and unchecking the Constrain box.
You can also do it in Preview, by cropping to the desired size with the cross-hair that appears when you mouseover the image, and then selecting Crop from the Tools menu.
If you want to select several areas of a newspaper page - hiding areas you don't want - you can do it in Keynote.
Import your scanned image to Keynote, and create shapes to cover what you don't want.  You can blank out unwanted areas completely, or have them semi-opaque, so they remain visible without pulling the focus away from the areas you want to highlight.

Is there a way to restore photos from Drop box to my desktop iPhoto in a large batch instead of one at a time? I tried and a zip file was downloaded but won't open. Says file format not recognized. I see how to do it one at a time with the "download" button in Dropbox but that's so cumbersome for lots of photos.

Is there any way to transfer photos, music, from my PC to my new iPad(3)?

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation

Is there any way to transfer photos from ipod touch (2nd generation & OS is 4.2.1) to PC? I am struggling a lot. The OS cannot be upgradable beyond 4.2.1
I am wondering if there could be many other ways to transfer the photos like:
    1. with the help of any android app
    2. ipod touch to iphone/ipod latest version
    3. any 3rd party free softwares (there are paid 3rd party softwares but I dont want to invest)
I did try some of the options:
    1. I could emailed only 6 photos in one email (I have almost 800 photos and would be time consuming.
    2. I'm trying to access my google account on my ipod but it keeps coming up with "oops! your browser seems to have cookies disabled..." My cookies are not disabled. Safari is the only browser for ipod touch and could not be able to installed not only any new browser but also any iphone apps. Updates for the existing apps not possible at all. So this option of uploading the photos on google drive is ruled out.
Anybody is there to help me out? Sorry for such a long inventory.
    Thank you!

If they are in the iPod' Saved Photos album then:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If they were synced to the iPod you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView

  • Is there a way to import photos from Canon Powershot S45 after downloading Yosemite?

Is there a way to import photos from a Canon Powershot S45 after downloading Yosemite?

I was reading another post yesterday about a Canon PowerShot S40 owner who previously used Image Capture to bring the images into the computer. They reached out to Canon and were returned a response stating that the drivers weren't compatible for OS X Yosemite. The best bet would be a card reader. The JPEG files are still going to be the same, but connecting with a USB cable directly to the camera isn't feasible any more. Head to the nearest Best Buy and pick up a USB card reader and you'll be able to see your pictures in Finder and can then import them to iPhoto or wherever you keep your pictures.

  • Is there a way to import photos to the iPad without the photo also appearing in the Camera Roll?  I have a Photo Transer app that lets me wirelessly import photos to an album but they also appear in the CR and when you delete from the CR the photo is dele

Is there a way to import photos to the iPad and put in an album without having the photo also in the Camera Roll?  I have a photo transfer app but when I import the album and photos they are also shown in the CR.  When you delete them from CR they are deleted from the album too.

You can sync photos from your computer via iTunes, and each folder that you sync will get its own album : syncing photos. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next sync.
In terms of albums that you create directly on the iPad no, effectively you are just creating pointers to the photos in those new albums, so if you delete the original photo you will therefore also be deleting all pointers to it.
You could consider a third-party photo management app instead e.g. Photo Manager Pro

  • Is there a way to sort photos by filename?

Is there a way to sort photos by filename in iPhoto? For some reason iPhoto is sorting my photos based on some date that is not the EXIF date. The built-in photo app used to do this but it now sorts the photos on filename. This works just fine for me as my filenames are something like "20120419-001a - Some Title.jpg".
    Thanks,
    Mike

NO way to sort by name as far as I know.

Is there a way to get photos from a blocked "Photoshop Album 3.0" with Ps?

If you are on a Mac, you can use File Juicer to extract image files from just about anything.
Next time you post, please give more specific details.
    BOILERPLATE TEXT:
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand, such as your platform (Mac or Win), exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge, machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, video card specs, including total VRAM installed, what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far, what error message(s) you receive, if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them, etc., someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster).
A screen shot could be very helpful too.

If your export looks like the screenshot in post 6, then please write your Publish+Share settings in a reply to confirm your present situation.
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    and then what?
    MPEG
    AVCHD
    XAVC-S
    AVi
    Windows Media
    QuickTime
    Image
    Audio
You might only be seeing MPEG, AVCHD, and XAVC-S in the list because the other are hidden from view. You need to use the small scroll bar to the right of the choices to scroll down to the ones beyond XAVC-S.
If you select MPEG and do nothing but accept the first choice of Presets which is NTSC DVD Standard, then you are going to get a 4:3 export. Under those circumstances, you have a 16:9 project setting, then you are going to get the type of result that you are seeing in post 6.
If you are doing that, then look at the MPEG Presets = NTSC DVD Widescreen, do your export, and let us know if all is OK.
Do you have any special receipt requirements for the export? With further information from you, I will help you with the export setting appropriate for your project and maintaining what you are created in the edit area.
    Thanks.
