Is there a way to delete app already on Ipod

I am wondering if there is a way to get rid of apps that are already installed on ipod? I don't need the stocks one and the weather one that is installed on here? I can't figure out how to delete them, if it's at all possible. Thanks.

It's not possible to delete the original apps that came with your iPod Touch. All you can do is move the to an another screen or place them in a folder (with OS 4).

Does delete (from the iPhone) really delete the songs from the iPhone, or just hide the songs?
I normally list "By artist".  I can delete an album (by swiping on the album sidways and then pressing delete), and the album (and all the songs) don't appear in the music player on the iPhone; But when I look at music in iTunes for the iPhone, the songs are still there.
    I'm confused.

  • Is there a way to delete everything off the Ipod but not off itunes?

I have a 4g Ipod nano, and it is full so it wont let me add any new songs. I have gone into itunes and deleted songs from my playlist and tried to update my ipod but even when i delete playlists and songs it still says that i dont have enough room to add any more. Is there any way i can delete everything off my ipod and but still have all my music in itunes so i can basically start over?

Try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. it won't remove anything from your iTunes library. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7

  • Is there a way to put apps on the ipod Nano 4th gen??

I'd like to put a timer app for working out on here! Help!  Ive done some looking around and found various apps, but they all seem to be for the ipod touch/iphone/ipad.  Any help would be appreciated

There is a Stop Watch "app" already on my 5th gen nano.  From the main iPod screen, select Extras, then Stop Watch.  Your 4th gen nano probably has it too.

  • Is there a way to delete songs off my ipod touch without plugging it into a computer? I just sold my laptop so now all I have is an ipod touch and an ipad.

I am getting really sick of some of my songs and I want to delete them but I have no idea how. I use to just do it from my computer but now all I have is an ipad. What should I do?!

If you have iOS 5 then swipe the song left or right and tap the delete button that appears. If not iOS 5 then you have to connect to computer and unsync.

  • Is there a way to delete a song?

My old ipod classic is full. I would like to delete some of the songs so that I would be able to add different songs. Is there a way to delete songs from my ipod?

Not directly. It must be done through iTunes, either manually or via the sync process.
If you have the Manually manage music and videos option enabled for your iPod (from under the Summary tab), you can manually remove the tracks via the iTunes interface.  Plug your iPod in and click the small black triangle next to its name from under the Devices section in the left hand of iTunes. This will present a submenu categorized by content.  Click on music. Locate and highlight tracks you wish to delete and either hit the Delete button or select Edit -> Delete.
Otherwise, if your iPod is set up automatically sync with your iTunes library, it can depend on a number of settings.  For example if you have the Sync only checked songs and videos option enabled from under your iPod's Summary tab, simply remove the tick mark next to the tracks you wish to remove from your iPod from your main iTunes library.  Then resync your iPod.
And if that option is selected, you'll want to double check your configuration settings for your iPod from under it's Music configuration tab/pane.

  • Any way to keep apps on my ipod touch but not keep copies of them on my PC?

Is there any way to keep apps on my ipod touch but not keep copies of them on my PC? I have space issues on my PC, so I don't want to have to keep copies there. I deleted the apps from my PC, but when I synced my ipod to add some photos, all my apps were deleted from my ipod. Is there any way to be able to just sync photos and music, and not apps? Seems I am able to manually manage music, which allows me to not have to keep my music library stored on my PC, but can't get the photos to sync without the apps syncing too.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I'm new at this.
    Thanks.

though purchased apps can be re-downloaded for free, i strongly advise against such a practice !

you would be better off to move your iTunes library to an external drive, thus freeing up space on your startup disk. this read will tell you how http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1364.

  • Is there a way to delete an app when you can't see the app's icon?

Is there a way to delete an app when you can't see the app's icon? I have so many apps that they don't all show up on the existing screens. I know it can be done by connecting to a computer and using iTunes, but I'm on the road away from my Mac.

I tried that and instead of showing me the inaccessible screens, it just shortens the number of available screens. Then if I reset the home screen in preferences it removes the folders I created and I'm back to square one.

  • Apps won't open after IOS5. Re-synced but still won't open.  Is there a way to delete them and then reload them again?

I had no problem in downloading a free app after updating to IOS5.  I thought everything was o.k. but when I tried to launch an app, it just blinked and nothing happens.  I had a notification before updating to IOS5 that I should back up my app purchases.  All of the apps I had were free so I ignored it.  Well, that appears to be my problem.  Now, my Ipad shows the apps but they don't work.  Is there a way to delete them so that I could reload them again?

Did you try syncing with iTunes again since you update the software? You could try that first. connect the iPad to your computer and sync again - not WiFi sync - traditional, old fashioned sync. You will have to turn off WiFi sync in iTunes and then hit the apply button.
Or you could try these basic troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Is there another way to close apps other than deleting them from the multitask bar.....I have a small crack in the bottom of my screen and that part of the screen does not recognize the touch.  :(

There's generally no reason to be closing them that way at all. The apps you see in the recents bar are just that, apps that you used recently. Most of them are doing absolutely nothing. The only apps that are really doing anything in the background are ones that play music and ones that are using location services. Just leave them be.
    Best of luck.

  • I just bough an iPad and all the apps that i have deleted long time ago still keep showing in purchased section of app store - most of them were free apps anyway .Its annoying that u cant delete them .Is there a way to delete them o

If you want to delete an app forever.
1st delete the app on your iPad and on any other iOS devices.
2nd delete the app from iTunes on your PC.

  • In the Kindle app, is there any way to delete books after I have read them?

In the Kindle app, is there any way to delete books after i have read them?

Nevermind that first part as I forgot that nothing shows up for the Nano at all in Device Manager,
The 2nd half of my reply still applies:
Otherwise, try uninstalling all USB root controlllers from your system, rebooting your PC, and reconnecting your Nano. This root controller drivers will automatically be re-installed upon reboot.
