Is there a way to deselct all of the music in iTunes at one time? I tried the Select All choice but didn't see anything after that.

Do you mean uncheck everything?
Command click any checkbox to check/uncheck all.
What's the reason you want to uncheck everything?
If it is to select what to sync, it's easier to create playlists and sync only those playlists.
Then simply add/delete fomr a playlist to remove it from syncing.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
The music sync is one - way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases.

Christmas is done, and I'm ready to put all Holiday music to bed for a year. My Holiday music folder contains an awful lot of albums & songs and it will take me a long time to deselect all of the music one song at a time. (When I use the itunes dj for all music, it loves to play my Holiday songs, much to my annoyance). Is there a way to deselect all of the songs in this folder much like one would do in Yahoo mail, for instance?

The paths won't agree on the two OSs so a simple XML import isn't likely to work.
See Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers and, if needed, Make a split library portable. The techniques in the first link will work when moving the library between Windows and OS X as long as the library is "portable", but iTunes takes quite some time checking the database when the library is opened under a different OS.

Actually, you can email up to 5 at a time from the Photos app. Select any more and the email share option will not appear.
If you explain why you need to email large numbers of photos, we might be able to offer an alternative.

Why are you changing your ID?
iTunes/app purchases are locked to the account that purchased them. For some actions like updating apps you have to sign into the account that purchased them. Just changing the ID does not not delete any media from the iPod.
When you delete the iCloud account for the iPod should should be offered the option to leave contacts on the iPod. See:

I sounds like you restored the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. In iTunes on yur computer go to iTunes Preferences. click on he Ddvices tab. If the date of the backup file indicate that it it has the history you can restore from that backup.

After that, the rest of the songs just stay with the spinning icon, but never start. I turned off the auto lock feature, and am leaving my iPhone on the charger, and it still happens. I hit the download all button, nothing. I quit and try again, nothing. I have to restart my phone in order to download the next 100, and so on it goes. I even tried turning off iTunes Match to sync music the old fashioned way, but iTunes will not let me sync my music. I tried to manually manage my library, and only 16 of my 6000+ songs transfer. The rest of the music is greyed out, with a dotted circle symbol next to the rest of my library. Music was not purchased through iTunes, so Authorization should not be necessary. I am at a loss. Any help is greatly appreciated.

When I sync my ipod touch not all of the songs in itunes are transferred over. I have about 30 more songs in itunes than on my ipod. There are also a couple of songs that are sync but they will not play on the ipod but they will play in itunes. Is there a way to fix this?

I'd like to know this as well. Mine just started doing this. I didn't do anything any differently and I have rebooted my iPod. It gets to the determining items to copy part and hangs there forever. Photos and apps were copied, however, just not songs.

I've currently had to export every single playlist to an XML file and then import them on the other machine to keep them in sync. Is there a way to just save all of the freakin playlists to an XML, or any other way for that matter so I don't have to go through this tedious process?
I would use iTunes Match to keep it all in sync, but unfortunately the service has been a disappointment for me. Certain songs won't upload to the cloud, playlists won't sync at all, and songs frequently skip or won't play at all when streaming to my iPhone on the go. It's a shame because it could be a great service if it worked well.

Is there a way to LIST OUT all of the active images that are currently being used on a page in Dreamweaver? Or do I have to click each one and write down the image name by hand?

Here are 2 ways to "start over":
1. remove all photos (or all extraneous photos anyway) from existing catalog (e.g. all photos collection, ctrl/cmd-a, then delete key).
2. create a new catalog (see file menu).
It sounds like #2 would be best for you, so you don't have extraneous keywords in your catalog etc.

Music purchased from iTunes can be transferred from your phone using iTunes, however other music cannot. To do this requires 3rd party software such as PhoneView (mac) or Touch Copy (pc or mac).

There is no way to do this that I've ever seen posted here. Even if there were, I would think that the space gained would be no more than a few Mb at most.
