Is there a way to dial voicemail in SDK?

Is there a way to dial voicemail in SDK? Maybe a special number I can dial to redirect to the voicemail?
Thanks

Visual voicemail is "half the point"? So the other half is the ability to download apps, interwebs/email, multi-touch screen, play music and video, awful battery life?
No, I believe the other half is satiating one's need to look like a big shot by throwing a lot of money away on non-essential trinkets.

People - you critisize something you've no idea about! Smart dialing (also called T9) is NOT about text input for God's sake...it's about dialing a contact in a really quick and simple way just by clicking on one of 10 dial buttons (much bigger and easier to be tapped btw especially on the move) and the phone finds all the contacts matching typed combination
For example I want to dial contact MLADD - I then tap on 6,5,2,3,3 and the phone searches for contacts matching all the combinations hidden on these numbers.
Another example: see Apple's website containing contact line number specified in 2 ways: (800) MY-IPHONE (800-694-7466)
Do you get my point now?
I've used at least 6 different phones in my life so far and went through most of well known platforms including Symbian, Blackberry, Android, Windows Phone and now iOS. I'm very sure there is no better and faster way to quickly and easily dial somebody but by using a smart dial. Dialing somebody this way takes 2 seconds while dialing using tapping on contacts field, then typing a word using keyboard (assuming you click on a right button when on the move) takes a while longer and is frustrating.
It's just a matter of a wider perspective when looking at this problem. If you would use it at least once - you would demand it as well.
For people liking tapping everywhere to perform basic actions - let it be as it is, but why not to improve something by adding an additional option in setting and enable SmartDial?

  • Is there a way to reduce the vividness of the icons in iOS7?

Do not know if it is my aging eyes or what but I cannot seem to focus when so many bright reds, blues, and greens are adjacent to each other.    Is there a way to dial down the intensity of the colors (reduce the saturation)?   Thank you in advance.

    Hello cardstock,
You can adjust the brightness at any time using the Control Center in iOS 7:
You can access Control Center from anywhere in iOS—including the Lock screen. To access Control Center, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. To close Control Center, swipe down, tap the top of the screen, or press the Home button.
Find out more about Control Center here:

Additionally, you can adjust the text and contrast:
    Large and bold text
Display larger text in alerts, and in apps such as Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and Notes.
Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Larger Type, where you can turn on Larger Dynamic Type and adjust the font size.
Display bolder text for all items on iPhone. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn on Bold Text.
Increase text contrast on difficult backgrounds when possible. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn on Increase Contrast.
Those steps are from page 131 of the iPhone User Guide:

Contact your carrier; they are the only ones who can resolve this for you. Use the Carrier Luke,

  • Is there any way to speed up a voicemail message once you've slowed it down?

On voicemail playback you can slow the voicemail down by selecting 4 while it's playing.  I've yet to find a way to speed it back up.  Is there any way to do this?  We have CUC 9.0.
    Thanks

It depends on your key maps if you have one configured however if I remember right, pressing 6 will speed up the voicemail.

Iphone dialing. A basic phone allows number manipulation to add a prefix on a stored number in contacts, is there a way to do that?
This is specially useful while traveling and you need to use numbers stored in a domestic style. Adding the possibility to have a prompt or cursor in the number dialing screen would be very helpful

Further to my question Ill add an example:
I'm in the US and need to call to Mexico City, the way to do,it is +52 55 12345678. This number is stored (and has been stored for years in yahoo contacts) as 12345678, the way you dial it locally; so now in order to call I need to add +5255 as a prefix to my stored contact.
This is extremely easy in other simple phones and smartphones like Blackberry by copying, pasting and editing the final number you need but it seems impossible on iPhone. It requires a great deal of manual copying.
I travel a lot and would be very thankful for a solution

  • I downloaded iOS 5.0.1 to my iPhone and all of my voicemails disappeared except a few from the last week.  Are they gone forever or is there a way to retrieve them?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you mean you deleted the files from Pages on your phone whilst using iCloud, then yes they will disappear from Pages on your iPad too.
If you simply deleted the app from your phone, if you were using iCloud then they should not have disappeared from your iPad.
It's not clear from your post, which of these you did.

Voicemail is a carrier feature, so contact your carrier, although I doubt they will disable voicemail for you.

  • Is there a way to set up a dial tone or a way for someone who is hard of hearing to have the phone set up to make a noise when I hold it up to my ear?

Is there a way to set up an dial tone or set the phone up to make a noise when I hold it up to my ear when i use it

I'm also not sure what you want to accomplish by this. Until you hit the "call" button, the phone is not 'off hook' like a traditional landline would be. There is no such thing as a dial tone on any cell phone. The dial tone was simply a carrier signal from the central office that prepared that end to listen for the pulses (later tones) generated when you dialed.

  • In the Lync Database, is there a way to tell if a call has been answered or gone to voicemail?

    We are using Lync 2010.
In Lync, if a call is not answered, and does not go to voicemail, is anything recorded in the Lync database ?
It looks to me as if nothing is recorded in the database, but I was wondering if there is an option in Lync configuration to make Lync record such activity in its database.
Is there a way to tell from the LYnc database if a call was answered by a person or went to voicemail
I have been looking at the LCSCDR database, at the sessionDetails table, but cannot see a way of distinguising between these scenarios.

Nothing is recorded if the call is not answered and does not go to voicemail.  This is a source of frustration for me, and there is no way that I'm aware of to record this information to the LCSCdr database.
To see if voicemail answered, you want to look at the client version that answered the call, voicemail will say ExchangeUM.  You can see me messing around with this in the below example, pulling from SessionDetails.User2ClientVerId and matching against
    the ClientVersions table.

  • Is there a way to recover lost voicemail messages on an iPhone 4S?

Is there a way to recover lost voicemail messages on an iPhone 4S? I listened to a message yesterday but wanted to keep it so I could show it to somebody else. However today when I went to show it to them, it was no longer there. Hopefully somebody can tell me a way I could possibly retrieve it.

Go back to your voicemail - you should have a deleted messge - click that and check.
If you don't have that then you can restore your phone from your last backup if it included that voicemail
