there's this live performance of the kill that i really want on my ipod but i can't get it on itunes and i'm desperate
is there a way to download it from youtube?

Of your two questions, I'll take a crack at the second.
The only way to find out if it is illegal is to contact whoever represents the band and ask. Contrary to the conventional wisdom of many people, just because it is up on YouTube, Google Video, etc. does not guarantee that it is there with permission. Those services try to remove all content that is there in violation of copyright, but they certainly don't catch everything.
Some artists don't mind at all, and others are at the absolute opposite of the spectrum, and would sue anyone they could prove had their content illegally.

In short. No, you cannot unsync. If you had a back up from your old iPhone you cand restore from a back up.
In iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Devices > and select the latest back up.
Before you synced your phone did you have it set up with the PhotoStream or iCloud? The pictures would be saved there. Or if you had them sync to a file on your computer.

No. You can sign in and out of the different accounts on the phone and the iPad but you can't use automatic downloads with two different ID's and if you switch to another ID on a device and then you download past purchases using that ID, you will lock yourself out of the other ID for 90 days.

I've got a document , some 70 pages long that was made back in the late '80's with Pagemaker on an SEII mac. The docs are on 2 floppies, but I can't open them, because I can't find any application that can read the files. I've got other documents that go back to 1984, when I bought my first Mac, that I can't open, either. I'd like to be able to get these files into Pages and send them out to family once again. Any recommendations?

No other application can open PageMaker files, only PageMaker. You'd need a copy of PageMaker (and license) and a Mac of ancient vintage, one with a floppy drive. The ancient Mac is needed not just to read the floppied but to run PageMaker which won't run on modern Macs.
Frankly, if you have a paper copy, scan it and start from that!

Had all these issues. Bit the bullet and downloaded the Downcast App ($1.99). Much better expereince and a lot more features. Sad.

Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:

If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

IF it is a manufacturing defect and you bought the device from Apple or an authorized Apple retailer, then take it into Apple.

When I put in my earphones to listen to music the sound isn't clear and I have to push and hold them in it in order for it to be. It's not the earphones because I use them in my laptop and they work fine. Is there a way to fix this problem?

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
If still problem that indicates you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours. Likely not worth it for your old 2G iPod

There are lots of links in Apple Support Communities to the LibreOffice web site, as well as others that are legitimate open-source developers of options to buying MS Office, such as NeoOffice and OpenOffice. I have Open Office installed on one of my older Macs that can't run Office 2011 and it is rock-solid.

You will have to engage a split library which means you will have to start answering questions on this forum because you will need to learn a lot about how iTunes works in order not that have a big mess at the end of it all. It also won't be easy when the time comes to relocate it all to different drives.
You can go to advanced preferences and turn off organize media and copy to items to media folder when adding items to library. Next read about how to selectively consolidate items to the external drive.

Remember that when you start iTunes without the external drive turned on iTunes will present you with a bunch of broken links. If you have automatic downloads enabled with iCloud you may have to turn that off to prevent iTunes from repopulating your drive trying to deal with those "missing" tracks.
If you add tracks in bunches to iTunes and want them to go to different media folders you will need to either add them by holding down the option key while dragging if the desired media folder is not the one set in preferences, or by changing the media folder in preferences. Changing media folder preferences only applies to new files added, not old ones.
