Is there a way to do this possibly?

I have pc with 435 megs hd and 3 gigs ram, using (alas) Vista Ultimate.
I have a folder of image files in Bridge. I'd like to create an icon for it on my desktop so that when I click on that icon, it will open to the folder in Bridge. Adobe tech support and my pc person say that it cannot be done: I must open Bridge first and then find the folder and click on it.
Is there not some ingenious person out there who has a suggestion?

Don't have the answer, but perhaps a clue on how to do it.
I have IrfanView on my Vista computer. If I right click on Picture folder there is an option to "Browse with IrfranView". Somehow the program added this option in the right click menu. It is just a directory of the computer with the Picture folder highlighted. But when you click on a folder it brings up the thumbnails. It is a smaller program than Bridge so if probably loads really fast. You would just have to figure out how to do that with Bridge.
But in reality you have to open Bridge anyway so what is the point? If you always exit Bridge with your "folder" as the last view, it will open there anyway.

    Sure, just use Handbrake to encode the DVD movie into a format that is playable on iTunes and on your iPad:

    Once the encoding is complete, move the movie file from your desktop into iTunes and then sync your iPad.  Presto, the movie is on your iPad!

    I sugggest you try my application, Dates to iCal. It is shareware with a 2 week trial period.

    Go into ''Tools > Options > General > Startup:When Firefox starts:'' and configure it as you want (probably to show your home page?). This is the very first option that appears in the options screen, but I understand that it may not be very easy to find. Firefox 4 will not include any redesign to the options screen (except possibly it appearing in a tab, rather than in a popup), but you may interested to know that there are plans to redesign the options screen for versions after Firefox 4, to make it easier to use. If you want to know more about the redesign, just ask.
    Anyway, if that doesn't help (it probably does, but just in case), it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
    Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem.     When I'm on a wiki, looking at an article, I sometimes see a couple spelling errors that just bug me, so I sometimes go in and fix them. However, when I pull up the editing page, the spell check only works for about the first half of the article. I can't find the errors if they're in the second half of the article.     You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
    Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
    *Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
    Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

    In your description you say the first document opens as the Title you gave it.
    Templates always open as Untitled so it sounds like you have saved a regular document, perhaps into your templates folder which is possible.
    Since you have already worked on it and it has been previously saved, Lion will now Save for you and Save a Version is available
    The other document does open as Untitled so sounds like a real template and as Peggy has pointed out will not have either Revert nor Save a Version until you Save it and have changed something in it.
    This is a classic example of just how Apple's supposedly "simplification" of the process, is leading to confusion of what has happened. That the conditions and resulting actions from those conditions is so convoluted says it all.
    It all reminds me of the Monty Python Life of Brian sketch with the "simplified" John Cleese instructions to the class, as to if you have a brother in an older dorm whether to hang your hat and bag on the hooks provided. The trouble is Apple does not get the joke, that it is transforming itself into a frequently self contradictory bumbling bureacracy. The price of unchallenged self appointed geniushood.
    The incoherent half baked stumbling juggernaut has reached new triumphs with its edict on enforced Sandboxing on developers when it is unable to follow even its own instructions.

  • Is There A Way to Do This (Subtitles)?

    I have imported from iPhoto (160 photos) to iMovie to create a slide show DVD for GrandMa using iDVD - works perfect; music and all. Got a great 1st run on the DVD when it was burned. But, I'd like to modify and (if possible on a new DVD) add some subtitles to a few of the photos along the way (inside or preferably at the bottom of selected individual photos themselves).
    Is there a way to do this? Either in iPhoto as I start, in iMovie as I set up, or in iDVD as I get ready to burn?

    You must have selected all the photos.
    Just click on the one you want to have the title, make sure you have retyped the correct title, and choose 'update' for that photo clip.
    Then, go to the next one, etc.
    If you want to first get rid of the all the titles and start over, select all the photos, delete the title from the editing pane, click on 'update' and the photos will render, removing the title.
    Then do the above on each photo you do wish to have titled.

    Do you have another charger to test with?
    It is very possible that somehow the wire might have gotten bent without your knowledge and that is why it is not working.
    If you have an Apple store near you, you might want to set up a genius appointment so that they can test it for you.

    We've got a bevy of test phones here and I've been able to see RSS feeds in an Exchange setup using Android (along with other folders) but no Lists that were hooked up using "Connect to Outlook" button from SharePoint.

    You are viewing Mobile view of the site into your phone. If you open the same site in normal PC view i.e. the same look which you have in your computer then it will give you an option to connect to outlook.

    Thanks for the suggestion but clicking on 'Connect to Outlook' from various phones doesn't seem to work.  "This webpage is not available." -- I didn't really expect it to do anything as I think this was meant to be done on a computer.  And then
    the result is that the documents would be available in Outlook. 
    And then, my question kicks in:  is it possible to see these files that are now in Outlook on a phone that's connected to the Exchange Server.

    Apps such as Skyfire claim to support flash, but their reviews are mixed. Some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so you could try checking there.

    both BSIS selects would become faster if you can add Company Code BUKRS as 1st field of WHERE clause, because it's the 1st field of primary key and HKONT is the 2nd field of primary key.
    If you have no table index with HKONT as 1st field it's a full database access.
    If possible, try to add BUKRS as 1st field of WHERE clause, otherwise ask for an additional BSIS index at your basis team.

    Hi,  just a note that might help.  I notice in baltwo's screen shot of the print dialog, that the Preset titled "Plain paper, best" is selected.
    anderdan33316, if you have selected a preset, and that preset was created with the "Scale" set to "150%".  I suspect your issue is related to this.
    for a possible solution,
    1. in Safari, open the Print dialog (by cmd-p, or choosing "Print..." from the File menu, either way works).
      2. in the dialog, manually set the Scale to 100%
      3. in the "Presets:" pull-down menu, select "Save Current Settings as Preset..."
      4. enter a label that is meaningful to you, such as "Standard", "Basic", "Default" - it can be modified later
      5. print that page from that dialog, and the customized Preset will be one of your choices until you decide to delete it.

    You want to see a green light on the Time Capsule.
    Once you have set up the Time Capsule initially, a flashing amber light indicates that the Time Capsule has a message for you....possibly about a network condition or notice of an update that is available.
    Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
    Click on the amber dot and another window will appear to provide the current status....along with suggested actions to remedy the flashing amber light.
