IS there a way to downgrade my IOS program from IOS 8???  On an IPhone 4S

Of course as many have complained that IOS 8 has bogged down their phones.  On an I-Phone 4S it is absolutely ridiculous at how bad it is.  I have a 32GB phone that I have deleted apps after apps in hopes of it getting better & still the same.  I am not able to get on Facebook or many video or music programs at all!!!  PLEASE HELP!!

I downloaded the 8.1 yesterday and its stuck at the Apple ID Sign in. It will allow me to enter my password, then it goes right back to the sign in!! I'm stuck!

  • Is there any way I can view / remove pictures from Camera Roll on the iPhone, on a Mac, without actually importing the files?

    Is there any way I can view / remove pictures from Camera Roll on the iPhone, on a Mac, without actually importing the files? I just want to view / delete files without importing them.
    For instance I have 1200 photos on my iPhone Camera Roll. Some of these are shots, that I've taken multiple times, some good, some bad. I just want to clean up my Camera Roll, but going through the pictures on the iPhone's small screen is tedious. I'd much rather look at the camera roll's photo's on my Mac, and then decide which files I'd like to keep, and which to delete.
    I don't want to import the files, as when I import the files, and delete them from Camera Roll, now the Photo's are not on my phone, and the only way to get them back on my Phone is to Import them back in using iTunes, and then they go into the Picture Library and not the Camera Roll.
    In the same way as I can view Pics from my digital camera's SD card on a Mac without having to actually copy them to my computer, is there any app out there that will let me view my iPhone pics without importing them.

    The short answer is yes.
    Connect your iPhone to your computer.
    Open Image Capture application.
    Click on the 4 little squares at bottom to view them as photos, not a list.
    Select the photos them click the No Entry icon at bottom to delete.

  • I got a new laptop, but I can't find my creative suite 6 cd. Is there any way to get my CS6 programs from my windows 7 laptop to my new windows 8 laptop?

    I guess I didn't register it to this account since it's not there. I'm going to check my other emails to see if maybe I registered it to a different account and I'm going to keep looking for the cd. But is there any hope of getting my programs from one laptop to my new one?

  • Is there a way to downgrade to iOS 6.1.3.?

    Good evening!
    Yesterday I made the worst choice of my life: I updated my Phone 4S to iOS 7 and I'm having lots of problems.
    My problems with this version is that its graphics are too white and they are making me literally sick! I'm having headaches, nauseas and my eyes are perpetually burning because of that operative system!
    I have always dreamt to have an iPhone and last year I finally managed to get it and I paid a big amount of money for it: after the upgrade I really thinking about selling it and revert to a normal phone. I filled a form of complaints in the feedback available on the website, I hope to get an official answer.
    I want to know if anybody knows a way to go back to iOS 6.1.3.!
    Thanks!

    You wil not get a response to any feedback you submit to Apple, just so you know. Regarding the iPhone, potentially useful ideas, quoted from pvonk, another user here:
    General -> Accessibility -> Bold Text to ON. You may still have to squint a bit but letters will be ~much~ easier on the eyes.
    General -> Accessibility -> Increase Contrast to ON. This takes away the bright fuzzy backgrounds when you open folders and makes them less fuzzy grey ones. It also darkens the bright fuzzy bar across the bottom of the screen to be a darker grey. It does not darken the bright fuzzy folders icons on the app pages or make Notes, Reminders or new Safari pages (or existing ones while you type a new address) much better, but is a huge step forward. It definitely makes mail and Messages much less pain-inducing, though they could stand to go darker.
    General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion to ON. This seems to cost me the pretty effects with app icons, but with all of the fuzziness they've added to folders and the your-apps bar, it helps avoid ~shifting~ fuzziness. Which turns out to cause problems for me. Who knew?
    General -> Accessibility -> Invert Colors to ON. ******* ONLY while in the Settings menu or Apple's screens like Safari, Reminders and Mail. I've been told I might be able to assign it to a triple tap, which should make switching easier. Haven't figured out how yet.
    App Switcher - Either don't use it or kill all Apple screens you aren't actively using. This cuts down on the large light squares that fill the screen in the app switcher now. Not using it would be a hassle, but would also cut down on the heightened visibility of everything I have open when switching between apps I use at work. I'm undecided which I'll end up going with.
    Use new screen pages instead of folders. I love the new folder design. My migraine-ridden brain doesn't, though. /-: With the old folder design, you knew an app in a folder was on screen if the folder was open and could let your gaze sweep over it multiple times to identify the icon. Now it may not be on the screen, so you have to focus specifically on smaller icons against a fuzzy-ish background. Focusing on something meant to be fuzzy is apparently one of my headache triggers. If the folders were darker or I could show the same number of icons, this would be much less a problem, but for now... I'm not sure that having a page for each folder is doable or worth the hassle, though. Might just end up moving the apps I use less often into a set of folders on a last page I don't have to visit often or just deleting them to minimize folders.
    Remember your brightness setting needs to be lower than it looks. This one seems obvious but surprised me with the frustration it causes. When you open the lower dock that has the brightness control, it darkens the rest of the screen. If you set your brightness so that what you want to look at seems right, it will brighten further after you close the menu and go back to it. I don't have a feel yet for how much lower I need to set the brightness, but I assume that will come with time. Also: Setting brightness higher makes the menu itself brighter to look at, so judge headache likeliness with that in mind.
    Settings -> Wallpapers & Brightness -> Auto-Brightness to OFF. This OS is super on-the-ball about adjusting brightness automatically. Which is awesome sometimes, but less so when you manually set the brightness, go back to the screen and watch it change from what you just set it to. You may end up with darker screens than you want until you adjust the setting, but you won't end up with brighter screens than you want.
    Some additional tips here:

  • Is there a way to start a JAVA program from the dock?

    Hello,
    I wrote some JAVA applications and I would like to put them in -
    - and start them from - the dock.
    These applications were built into .jar files.
    I can start them from Finder which tells me that there is some .jar starter utility.
    ;JOOP!

    The Dock is for Applications, Documents, and Folders (which can take several forms). There are some other odd animals that can stay in the Dock, but they were never truly implemented (recent items is one). If you "wrap" the .jar file inside some package that behaves as an application, you can have it stay in the Dock just as any other Application.
    A .jar file is not an application, it's a java archive. It is a collection of classes, metadata, etc. which the Java runtime interprets and executes. The Application which runs it shows up in the Dock as the coffee cup, but that is just the runtime engine, not the .jar.
    The .jar is like any other document, such as a a word processing document. Just like any document, it can be double-clicked and the handling application will be called to open it. Double-clicking that word processing document causes the word processing application to open the document and interpret its contents. Double-clicking the .jar file causes the java runtime engine to open the .jar file and interpret its contents. Instead of presenting it as paragraphs of text, it displays it as the application it represents.

  • Is there a way to transfer old messages/texts(from previous phone) to an iphone?

    Well to be honest I have some pretty valuable and memorable messages/texts in my old phone, and i want to keep them. There seems to be no option for that inthe phone. Please suggest what to do. And no my previous phone does not have the bluetooth or the transfer-to-computer optiong, all I can do is save messages in my sim.
    Thanks

    I think you'd need a SIM reader and software to pull the info off your SIM card. You won't be able to transfer it to the Messages program on your iPhone but at least you'd have a copy. If the phone is still active, you should be able to send the texts to an email account or to the iPhone.

  • Is there a way to call a SQL Program from an Oracle Report?

    Morning friends. I had a question about Oracle Reports and them calling a SQL Program. Here is the problem at hand. I am hoping to not have to change the existing program a whole lot!
    Currently, here is what is happening. I have a .sh file which calls the Oracle Report first and then goes on to call a .sql program. I am using Oracle Reports 10g and the call to run the report is RWCLIENT. This was earlier being called using RWRUN.
    Because of certain issues of synchronicity with RWCLIENT, I am now looking to move the call to the .sql program to the Oracle Report (Ideally the AFTER_REPORT trigger). Is this possible?
    The Oracle Report basically outputs a listing and the .sql program does a spool and creates a text file which is later used as attachment to the email and sent out to the person who submitted the Report.
    Here is the shell script.
    # Accept system input parameters
    p_gradapp_user_id=$1
    p_gradapp_job_id=$2
    program_unit='GRAD001A'
    rwrun.exe module=$GRADAPP_PATH/GRAD001A userid=$p_gradapp_user_id paramform=no desformat=$GRADAPP_PRINTER(GRAD001,1) destype=file desname=grad001-$p_job_id-1-1.lis p_gradapp_job_id=$p_gradapp_job_id p_gradapp_user_id=$p_gradapp_user_id batch=yes
    exit_status=$?
    program_unit='GRAD001B'
    sqlplus.exe -s $p_gradapp_user_id @$GRADAPP_PATH/grad001b.sql $p_gradapp_user_id $p_gradapp_job_id
    exit_status=$?
    exit 0

    If you are going to use rwclient try BACKGROUND=NO as an extra parameter:
    background=NO: Runs the report synchronously. The client waits for the report to queue, be assigned to a runtime engine, run, and finish.

  • Is there a way to downgrade from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 4.1 without any unauthorised modifications (e.g. jailbreaking)?

    I found this piece of information: http://osxdaily.com/2012/06/18/downgrade-ios-6-beta-to-ios-5/ Yes, it's about downgrading from iOS 6 beta, not iOS 6, but the way to downgrade to a previous version of iOS is basically the same.
    I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1 and an iPod touch 4 running iOS 5.1.1 as well. None of them is 'jailbroken'. I upgraded my iPod touch to iOS 6 for exploring it a bit more and reverted back to iOS 5.1.1. How? I did it the way stated by the website I mentioned above: just by Option-Clicking the 'Restore' button on iTunes and select the iOS 5.1.1 software. No need to enter recovery mode or DFU mode whatsoever.
    In fact, Apple doesn't allow users to downgrade to a previous version of iOS: 'Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported.' (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694) The reason why I could downgrade from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1 may be, as the above website said, 'Typically you can’t downgrade iOS versions so easily, but because Apple is still signing iOS 5.1.1 this allows downgrading to commence with minimal effort.'
    I was wondering whether I could revert all the way from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 4.1 (the version that was shipped along with the launch of the iPod touch 4 in September 2010). (for experimental purposes)
    I downloaded the iOS 4.1 (a list of iOS software: http://osxdaily.com/2010/10/30/download-ipod-touch-firmware-ipsw/) and tried Option-Clicking when restoring this iOS 4.1 — no luck. iTunes said 'This device is not eligible for the requested build'. And I did a bit of research and found that there are ways to downgrade from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 4.1, but it seems you have to jailbreak the device, which is complicated and I don't want to do.
    So, is there a way to downgrade from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 4.1 without any unauthorised modifications (e.g. jailbreaking)? Thanks in advance.

    No, downgrading from any version of iOS to an earlier version is not supported.

    No, you cannot downgrade your iOS device. That's not supported by Apple.

    No, Apple does not support downgrading of software.

  • Is there aby way to downgrade my device

    I downloaded ios 6 on ny iphone 3gs and the slownest of the device is annoying me is there any way to downgrade my devise to ios 4

    Downgrading of any version of iOS isn't supported by Apple. If you search the web, you'll find instructions that may work, but you're on your own should any problems arise. For many people it goes without problems, but for some it's reportedly bricked their devices.

    There is no supported method to "downgrade" iOS on any device.  If you update, you will get the latest iOS for your device, which will be iOS 6.1.3.  You cannot go backwards to iOS 4.3
    If you have never backed up in either iCloud or iTunes, then upgrading to iOS 6.1.3 will involve restoring your device as part of the upgrade.  Without a backup to restore from, you will loose everything that is on it.
    You should first connect to iTunes with your computer, sync your device without upgrading and create an up to date backup of everything.  Then use the upgrade option in iTunes to update your iOS.
    However, if the dock device strictly requires iOS 4.3, it will not work, as you cannot downgrade iOS.  There simply is no mechanism from Apple to do that.

    My ipod touch is currently running ios 4.2.1 I would like to run ios 5 or 6. When I try to update it on itunes, it tells me my software is up to date. Is there another way to upgrade the IOS?  Do I have to go to Settings>General>reset>Erase all content and settings before I can get the newer ios?  If this is the case, how can I ensure all my content is backed up prior to erasing it all. Is there anyway to check to ensure the backup is complete and comprehensive?  THanks!

    A second generation iPod touch can't be updated past 4.2.1.

    It sounds like you have a hacked/unofficially unlocked iphone.  When you update, it will indeed lock it back, as it should.
    The ONLY place that can legitimately unlock an iphone is the carrier to which they are locked and no U.S. carrier does this.
