Is there a way to duplicate a book in aperture? Created a photo book. Now need to creat almost the same exact photo book. Want to duplicate it and then make a few changes for the new book. I can duplicate the project, but I need to duplicate the book layout and all.

Select your book in the Library Inspector panel, then Ctrl-Click it and select "Copy Book" from the pop-up panel. You will get an exact copy of your book.

I guess you could "export" a photo from Aperture, then "import" a photo into iPhoto... not very clean, but it will probably work. Doing a book won't work.

Yes, you create in the .epub format with whatever Windows app you want to use for that and then use an Aggregator like SmashWords to upload the book to the iBookstore. Direct upload is only possible from OS X.

TV shows will only appear in the cloud if you are in a country where they can be re-downloaded from the store (you can't add them yourself), in which case they will appear in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app for re-downloading. But they will only appear there if you are in a country where they can be re-downloaded, and then only as long as the TV company leaves them in the store (content providers occasionally remove their items).

Audiobooks go in Music, not ibooks. Is the book you are talking about not an audiobook but an .epub or some other format where you read text?

I am selling my medical textbooks on paper for around $90-100. When I was in the process of loading the epubs into itunes connect, the pricing tier maxed out at 39.99. I sell other books in my field selling on itunes for around $180, which is similar to the paper versions. Is there a way around the pricing tiers. I have no problem with creating a new title if necessary.

You will have to authorize your sisters device for your iTunes account (your AppleID and Password). Audiobooks are DRM locked just as almost all iTunes audio content is.

Is there a way to get my book marks back into Safari from a TM backup?

Hello fellow Mac users. Is there a way to "restore" my wife's book marks from an earlier TM backup in safari?
My wife deleted a bunch of files on her MBP. I went back to an earlier days TM backup and restored things in her documents folder etc but when she went into Safari all of her book marks are gone. Is there a way to get them back from one of the TM back ups? There was also another user that was deleted. Can that be restored?

To get the Safari bookmarks back, you need to locate the 'booksmarks.plist' file which should be located in the username/library/safari folder and replace the same file in the same folder for the user you want the bookmarks for.
As far as restoring a previous user, I'm not sure. It might be easier to just make a new one. You should still be able to get the files from the previous user from your Time Machine backup if that's what you intended. If you could restore a user, it would have to be by using Migration Assistant, although I couldn't say as to whether that would work.

They can't be deleted because they aren't stored in their personal iCloud account (and as a result, don't take up any of their iCloud storage). They are stored in the iBooks store. The cloud symbols are just links to their previously purchased books so they can redownload them if they want.
If they don't want to see them, they can hide them in iTunes on their computer and they won't appear in the iBooks app on their devices. This explains how to hide them: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919.

When you search for it please use .csv instead of cvs, cvs is a drug store.

Is there a way to duplicate a User Account when setting up an iMac

I have a lab of 30 iMac computers. I am planning on imaging 29 of them from 1 master machine. In the process of setting this one machine up, I need to create 4 user accounts that will have identical settings, but will simply have different names. Each account is for a different period of the Intro to Video Class I teach. Instead of having to go through each User account and change each setting, can I create one profile and then make copies of this profile and rename it to the different class periods I teach. These User accounts are not administrator accounts. The will have limited access.

Thank you for your replies. I am setting up one machine perfectly, so that I can use that machine to image the other 29 machines. My issue is that in setting up the one perfect machine I need to create 6 different User Accounts on the machine. Four of the User Accounts are perfectly identical except for the name of the User Account. It takes a lot of time to set up the Dock and all the user preferences of each of these User Accounts. I'd like my eBook to open at the beginning every time it's launched fresh—is that possible or is it always going to open up at the last visited location? Is there a preference in iBooks author or something? Or in iBooks itself on the iPad? I don't see it. The "Videos" on iPads have a preference to start at the beginning or start where you left off. Just wondering if the books have something similar.

What you're talking about is the default navigation that is part of iBooks, so no, it doesn't appear you can force a restart from open, sorry.
Your reader would need to navigate there each time they leave the book.

Is there a way to duplicate a page?

I was wondering if anybody has found a way to duplicate a page. For example, I have a photo page that I have tweeked a bit from the original template, and rather than make the same tweeks each time I add another photo page I would rather just duplicate the page and add new content. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
