Is there a way to embed PDF files within Captivate?

Is there a way to embed PDF files within Captivate 5?
I'm trying to avoid pop-ups.
I know there's a widget out there, but it's for Captivate 3.
I couldn't get it to work.
Thoughts?

Hello,
Have a look at this widget from Jim Leichliter:

Is there a way to create pdf files offline?

Certainly, that's what Acrobat does. (But not Adobe's PDF Pack).
Note that you will need an internet connection to install Acrobat and (so far as I know) every month to check your license. So it's no use if you will be off net.

  • Is there a way to import PDF files?

    Hello
I am using RoboHelp HTML Version 5.0.2 and I have encountered problems importing PDF files.  I have tried all the various options but they all loose the original format.  My PDF files can range from one to five pages.  Is there a way to import PDF files?

Check the RoboHelp HTML's help. In the Index, type "import" and select the "PDF files" subentry from the "Importing" entry.
Read the "Importing PDF files" topic; see also the link to "Tips for importing PDF files" in which one of the tips is:
Why is my imported PDF file displaying incorrectly?
PDF files can display certain font families that HTML cannot display. Consequently, in rare instances fonts contained in a PDF document may not convert correctly when imported into HTML.
    Good luck,
    Leon

There are "container" apps emerging for the iPad.  Enough searching & I suspect there would be one for your needs.

The Good Collaboration Suite includes Good for Enterprise, Good Share and Good Connect secure mobile apps, simplifying access to email, calendar, contacts, tasks, instant messaging, browsing and document sharing. • Is there a way to store PDF files and read them on your iPhone?

I noticed that you can read PDF files on the Internet, but it takes a bit of time to appear. Another problem was that it is hard to scroll because you can only scroll about one page at a time with the finger flicking.
Also is it possible to have portable browser on your iPhone?

Well, sounds like you may be stuck---some potential approaches:
Look at the file sharing apps to see if any offer special PDF features like bookmarks or saving your place (FileMagnet, AirSharing, etc, there are lots of them). You can even add bookmarks in Preview, though I have no idea whether any other app can read them. I know reading PDFs as email attachments does not save your place--I would expect some other apps to do better with that.
See if Calibre does any better with images in conversion:
    http://calibre.kovidgoyal.net/
Run OCR software on Google's PDF to convert it to text.
Since Google does a text search on them, the text is somewhere. Though maybe only Google can access it, it may not be in the PDF file but stored separately.
For some books, Google Books offers an HTML or plain text version. See if you can download that one instead (may still want to convert via Stanza).
See if some of the books you want might be in Gutenberg:

  • Is there a way to embed a file into a mailto function within DPS?

I'd like to attach a pdf or an image when someone clicks a mailto button or link.
Could someone provide an example of one that works?

The only workaround we've found so far is to use a service like formassembly.com or wufoo.com to create a local HTML form.  Here's Wufoo's help document about this:
    http://www.wufoo.com/2011/03/31/send-file-attachment/
We couldn't find anyone that would quickly and easily allow us to natively attach a document to an e-mail so we use formassembly to create a local HTML form for each document we want to share.  A button is used to open the local HTML file in the in-app browser.  After they enter their e-mail address and submit the form a response e-mail is sent to them that includes a link for downloading the file.  We host the PDF files we're sharing on box.com and putting "?dl=1" after the web address of the file triggers an automatic download of the file to their local machine and opens the file in Acrobat (or whatever application is set as the default for PDFs).  We chose formassembly because you only pay for the responses without having to pay a monthly fee.  We found e-mailing a link to be acceptable because it's only one click/tap for them to download and view the file, and because of the large file size of the PDFs we are sharing.

  • Is there a way to "stamp" PDF files with the purchaser's email address?

I would like to sell PDF reports and/or eBooks via BC, but I would like to be able to stamp each such PDF/eBook with the purchaser's email address.
There are certainly stand-alone PDF stamper programs and some providers like gumroad.com already offer that feature.
Anyone actually done it with BC, please?
    Thanks in advance
    Andy

Thanks for the rapid response, Liam -- even if it's not the response I was hoping for.

  • I cant download ibooks in my ipod 4thgeneration because it requires iOs 7 or later. is there any way to transfer pdf files to my ipod ?I CANT TRANSFER PDF PLEASE REPLY.thanks

is there any way to download ibooks for my ipod touch 4th generation?my iOs version is 5.1.1

    Likely:
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.
Are you sure you have a 4G iPod (has cameras)? You say you have iOS 5.1.1 and a 4G can go to iOS 6.1.5. A 3G (no cameras) can only go to 5.1.1.

  • Is there a way to change PDF files to Word Doc on my iPad? I subscribed to it.

I just subscribed the converting PDF file to Word doc. But I would like to use my iPad for this. Does anyone know how to do it?

For starters, you can take a look at the Help document in Adobe Reader for iOS.
    Go to Reader's home screen.
Tap Help (in the lower left corner).
Tap Handbook (in the right pane).
    Select "Acrobat.com and the Cloud".
The page describes various operations (Logging in, Exporting PDFs, etc.).
Please let us know if you have any specific questions.

  • Is there a way of selecting all files within multiple folders?

Let's say I have a folder called 'text books' and within that folder I have 100 more folders named by author.  Inside the folders are .txt files of their work.  Is there any way I can select all the .txt docs and paste them in one big folder?  In other words, is there a way of removing all the sub-folders and putting all the .txt files together in one place?
    regards
    Rob

Thanks Niel.  Worked a treat!  Took me a short while to figure out how to get it to run in the directory I wanted it to (as the file was also on NAS)  as I have never used AppleSript before.
So, for posterity, and if anyone else is interested in trying to do this, here is my final script:
set pa to "/Volumes/Public/etc - whatever your path is"
set aspa to POSIX file pa
set tpa to "/Volumes/Public/ directory you are moving them to"
set as2pa to POSIX file tpa
    tell application "Finder"
move every file of entire contents of folder aspa to folder as2pa
    end tell

  • How to embed PDF file within a parent PDF file

    Hi,
I have created a button on my PDF document to open another PDF file in a new window. I want to sent this PDF to my client who will then mass email it out. My problem is that I want to embed the second file so it goes where ever the parent PDF goes and will open without file location errors, and not rely on both files being sent.
I have read somewhere that this happens automatically if you attached a sound or movie clip??
    Thanks for any help.
    P.s I am using Acrobat Professional CS3
I have also tried packaging files together, but it still seems to look of the external second file.

  • Is there a way to email Photoshop file within the application?

    Hello all.
In MS Word, there is a command whereby you can straight away email the word file you are working on using your default email app, the word file will become an attachment and all you have to do is enter the email address in Main (e.g.) and send it off.
Is there a same way to do it in other apps, particularly, Photoshop? ('cause I work a lot on images) Like maybe there's a script or automator to do it??
    Thanks and cheers

    No.

  • Is there any way to embed the pdf file in the book created in iBooks Author to make it available to be downloaded or sent to email? So that the user can print it out.

Is there any way to embed the pdf file in the book created in iBooks Author to make it available to be downloaded or sent to email?
I'm making the book for children and there is one chapter providing coloring pages. So I wish to attach pdf files that allow users to download it at the end of chapter so that  they can print it out. Been searching through discussion, I've found some advice about taking screen snapshot page-by-page > then send the pics from photo album to email. However, I'm wondering if there's a way that make the process easier.

Warehouse that PDF on your own server, then link to it from your book.

  • Is there a way to insert a file (such as a PDF or Word doc) into a presentation?

I have a few pdf "highlight sheets" that I'd like learners to be able to access and print out if they'd like, while watching the presentation.
Is there a way to insert a file into the course? (For instance, if they click a certain button, the file would be downloaded to their computer?)
    Thanks,
    Inna

While Michael's answer is technically correct, I never advise to use the browse button to locate the file. Doing so puts the link in peril as it typically creates an absolute path leading to the document you wish to link to. So use the button if you must, but before committing the link, ensure you remove any pathing information and leave behind only the document file name.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Is there a way to view embedded files in a Word doc that you have PDF'd?

We embed as objects different types of files (i.e, pdf, excel, etc.) into our word documents.  When those documents are PDF'd, you cannot open the files as they become pictures.  Is there anyway I can have the embedded files open in PDF as they do in the Word document?

You can embed PDF file in word document by converting PDF to Doc, for this conversion you need PDF to Doc converter.
Or you can also embed PDF file in word as image by convert PDF to Image and attach image of PDF page in Doc, for this conversion you need PDF to Image converter.
There are many PDF converter available on web that can perform this conversion like Adobe Acrobat, Nitro and Classic PDF etc. I am using classic PDF, it can easily perform both of above conversion along with many other features. It is reliable and afordable PDF software.
