Is there a way to exclude specific calendars from Notifications and alerts?

I have 4 calendars: 1 Exchange and 1 Yahoo that includes 2 shared calendars (wife and MIL). I activate the Yahoo calendars only when I need them and do not need any yahoo reminders at all. When I swipe down the Notifications page, it includes all four calendars including the shared Yahoo calendars. What's worse, I get alerts from all four calendars.
I only want Exchange alerts and notifications. Is there a way to exclude the Yahoo calendars from Notifications and alerts?
Right now, the only way I can eliminate them is by deactivating the Yahoo account in Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Is there a way to only choose specific contacts from an existing group and add to a new group?
I mean there has be a faster way than typing everybody by hand..

I like the birthday button in iCal, but it is pulling in birthdays from every contact that I have a birthday for in my addressbook. The birthday calendar lists all contacts that have a birthday listed in the birthday field. You would have to do something like cut and paste this data into the notes field of the contacts you wanted to exclude from the birthday calendar in order to keep this data without showing them in your birthday calendar.

Is there a way of excluding Time Machine from drives list?

Every time I save a file or an application scans the drives on my iMac, the Time Machine drive is included.
But because the HDs in the external drive (Iomega) go to sleep between Time Machine back ups, they have to spin up (2 HDs in a RAID setup, so both have to spin up) before the application can go on. That takes something between 5 and 10s every time.
Is there a way of excluding the TM drive from the normal drives list? So that it's invisible to applications?

if it is spotlight that i s scanning your drives, add the time machine drive to the privacy area in system prefs:spotlight:privacy. either drag the drive to the window or click the + buttonon bottom right.

Does anybody know a way of protecting PDF documents from printing and/or copying? All this within the OS possibilities? Is there a way?

No way to do that using the OS (although the entire pdf can be encrypted, once the password is applied the document is open for copying/printing).
However, the freeware PDFLab does allow password protection, the 'owner' pw allows full access, the 'user' pw can be restricted for printing, copying, etc:

This can also be done with Adobe's Create PDF Online, but the above is free, and works well.

I would like to invite members from another group but only specific members, there is basically 8% of people that I don't want to invite. Is there a way to add only the people I want without having to do it by manually typing out the screen name of each and everyone of them?

Is there a way to stop the calendar from linking to keywords in text messages in IOS 7?

With the new upgrade to IOS 7, I've noticed that certain keywords such as "tonight," "tomorrow," or times like "9:15" all underline and form a link to the calendar in text messaging. Is there a way to turn this feature off? It's quite annoying as I don't create events from my messages.

I find this annoying as well, and cannot fathom why there isn't an option to disable it for those of us that find it irritating.

Is there a way to exclude programming structures from diagram cleanup?

So, I just started Labviewing a month or 2 ago. I really have to get used to the wires. Now, the "Diagram Cleanup" tool generally works fine, but even after tweaking it, it still makes my VI's explode to 3x their size. Is there a way to lock the programming structures I arranged to my liking, so the "Diagram Cleanup" tool doesn't re-inflate them when I decide my newly written code needs a cleanup?

After discovering what the "Event Structure" was for (shame on me for not finding it earlier ), I cleaned up my window considerably, since I no longer had a couple of screens full of buttons connected to case structures.

Grouping events neatly together solves most of my space requirements for now, it's just a little larger than my 1028x1024 screen (until next time I decide to click "Clean up diagram" ).
Just wanted to be sure I hadn't missed the option to "lock" loops from auto changes. Thanks for the help.

There are many ways you can do this, but I wont recommend this because even after you disable browser print, users can still use screenshots or print screen etc.

Is there a way to prevent hidden calendars from appearing in Notification Center?

I have 4 calendars syncing with my iPhone -- now running iOS5.
One of those calendars is my Google Calendar, which includes birthdays of all my contacts.
However, the iOS also offers a special "Birthdays" calendar that pulls birthdays from the Contacts app. I have that calendar hidden because it is duplicative of my Google Calendar.
Yet, despite the fact that it is hidden from showing in the Calendar app, those entries appear in the new Notifications Center. As a result, birthdays appear twice.
While this is far, far from a big deal and certainly something I can live with, it would be nice if hidden calendars didn't appear in Notification Center. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

Well, since you have multiple calendars synced to one account, this may not work. I was syncing one Yahoo calendar and that's the one that was giving me the duplicate entries on the notification screen. On my iphone I went to Settings -- Mail, Contacts, Calendars -- chose my Yahoo account (which was already inactive) and turned off Reminders (which curiously has an icon next to it that looks like the iOS5 reminders app). I've noticed that not all of my email/calendar accounts have this option, though. Very strange.

If you are seeing Calendar events listed in a time zone other than the one the iPhone is currently set for, you may want to check to see if Time Zone Support is enabled. You may find the following article helpful:

I heard that OCX are deprecated features for Forms 9i (9.0.2) and higher. Is there anyother way to invoke the same from forms9i and higher versions.
We need to do this one of our customer. In forms10g oracle completely removed that option from the tool bar.

Because Active X can't run in a standard-java-environment like the Forms-Service in your client-browsers generic applet, you have to search for new widgets that do the same in Java and not in OCX.

The form will close automatically when you do changes that can affect the form fillers. Sorry there is nothing you can do beside explicitly open the form after your changes.

I do my time sheet iCal and was wondering if there is a way to send the calendar to mail to be emailed. When I'm on a specific calendar and try going into edit, the program won't let me access the cut, copy or paste function. Is there a specific way to email a calendar to someone?

I tried that and I get it, however my boss has a pc. Will she be able to open the attachment? I think she is running xp. Is there a way to copy the calendar and drop it into Bean so that I can send it without it being an attachment. When I try this, I get the list of the calendar stats, but no physical calendar. Normally I record my time sheet on a Bean document, then copy and paste it in mail. I tried sending her an attachment a long time ago, and I don't think her computer can open the attachments. I'm not overly techy(nor is my boss), so this has been my easiest route so far. I hope this makes sense.
