Is there a way to export what you record as sheet music?

Maybe this is something simple I just haven't figured out yet. I recently recorded a melody in GarageBand. I'm wondering, is there any way to view the notes of what I recorded in the form sheet music? I would like to have the song translated into sheet music, so I can't print it out on a single page PDF or Word Document.

MIDI. I can see the notes written out when I go into that particular view mode, though I can only view the string of notes and measures extended horizontally in a non-page format. I'd like to be able to print it out or export it as sheet music if possible.

Thank you. I was afraid of that. I backed up from iCloud. I looked at the iTunes one - it had four different ones on there; was hoping I could see because my grandson's phone was redone last year (his mom messed it up then) and didn't know anything was backed up to iTunes. He lost a lot of stuff that time. I'm just trying to get his phone back to par after someone changed his passcode on him as a joke and forgot what they changed it to a few days ago. Is there any way to stretch what was recorded as HD from the camera that became SD on FCE back to HD in the project. I have tried all settings and none seem to make any difference. Anamorphic doesn't seem to retain its setting when I set up a new sequenc.

yes, I recorded straight from camera to computer. The camera is a Sony HDRSR12 and it was set to wide screen it ran through a Canopus ADVC300 via firewire to the computer.
I burnt some to DVD and if you set the TV screen on widescreen it looked great. But for those still with SD it will be skinny.
So I am not sure how to get the footage into a widescreen format in a sequence as the anamorphic setting doesn't work for this footage.

Is there any way of exporting a clip (example 1 hour) into 4 seperate 15 min clips at the same time? Or does anyone have any ideas along the same lines to save time? Add my skype baconhousevidz if you can help or are unsure of what im asking

I have a PC running Windows XP that I've had for many years. I just got an iMac and want to make that my main music source for syncing iPods, playing,music in the house, etc. I have a lot of playlists on the old PC that I want to move over to the iMac and I don't have to rebuild them all by hand. Is there a way to export the original playlists from the Windows PC and import them to the iMac since the file systems are different? Thanks.

The problem really is that one person has InDesign and the other has Photoshop.
The workflow is images from photoshop are placed in Photoshop.
Not the layout from InDesign is placed in photoshop.
That's how the software is designed to work.
What people are saying is that Photoshop cannot work this way in dealing with layouts, it's a nightmare and will give you terrible results and cost you time and effort when updating things in Photoshop, it has all the makings of a Final Destination movie, particularly in the area of the later sequels.
But let's not get hung up on those franchises.
If the person needs to edit an Indesign file and can't afford the full cost of InDesign then there are other workarounds:
1. If it's just text
If all they are doing is updating text then you can use File>Export>Rich Text Format from a selection of text, this will make a Word version of the text that they can edit. You can then use File>Import and import the RTF that is edited.
2. You can use InCopy
This is a viable solution for editors that need to see the text in the Layout Format, but it hasn't got all the bells and whistles of InDesign, but it works in tangent with InDesign, it's not as pricey as InDesign and it also allows you to lock out editors from editing certain parts or moving things within the layout. And it can update your InDesign file on the fly.
3. You can use Rorohikos Story Tweaker

There are workarounds that you can find for people that don't have InDesign. It's just that the Photoshop workflow isn't a viable solution in any sense.
For example, I have my layouts proofed in PDF format, where the proofreader adds Comments to the PDF. It works for our workflow as I'm the one editing the only file in existence.
But to go from InDesign to Photoshop is a complete waste of time and effort on everyone's part. There is no need to go that route, there's no reason, there's no point.

I'm currently dealing with this issue myself, except that my rMBP has NO articles in the reading list. It's a brand new rMBP too, purchased just this week, with the 2.6 Ghz Processor & 16GB of RAM.

Is there a way to see what I've listened to say in the lat week? I can go to Controls and see recent, I can change my views and see (and sort) when songs were "last played" and I can see the top 25 songs in all history played from my library.
What I'd like to see is what I played in the last week -- what songs I listened to once and which I played over and over. Like the "Top 25 Most Played" but rather "Top 25 Most Played This Week."
Any suggestions?

So-called IMAP email accounts have synchronization in both directions, meaning that if you open an email on one device, it will show open on all other devices as well. By contrast, so-called POP email accounts do not have this two-way sync and result in the results you are seeing, e.g., emails on multiple devices but only showing opened on one device at a time.
Unfortunately, unless you can switch your email to an IMAP account, there isn't much you can do about it.

Is there a way to tell what is actually being passed to DB from PreparedStatement? What I mean by that is that I have a PreparedStatement that is a simple

I precompile this, and later, when there is a connection I call set all the variables
prepstmt.setInt(1, someint); prepstmt.setString(2, "\\'" + somestring + "\\'"); etc... prepstmt.executeUpdate();
I get back an exception thrown by Oracle complaining that one of my values is too large for the column (but doesn't say what column/value).
So I made a string that contains what ought to be the same query

I give the printed out line directly to Oracle through SQLScratchpad and it works just fine in there and I can confirm the row has been inserted. Nothing is too big.

Hrm, I'm suspecting that perhaps it has to do something with setting CHAR fields. Some of the fields in this table are CHAR but I don't see a call in my PreparedStatement that can set a char, only a String, so that's what I've been using, but it may be that that's not the right thing to do. I'm running Java 1.5.10, and looking through the API there doesn't seem to be anything specifically for char.

I know about closing apps open in the HUB, but is there a way to see what processes or programs are running on a Q10? I am watching one of our phones drain slowly just from sitting. Only thing running is our phone network. Maybe its syncing too often with our server? I am not sure how to see that to check. Other than that, the phone is passive. Any suggestions?

I inadvertently deleted 6 folders from picasa which also deleted them from my Mac. i have so many items in my trash that I do not know which they were....is there any way to track what items I placed in my trash only on today's date? since I have no clue what they were specifically.

By the way, the items are not deleted until you empty the trash - which you should do occasionally because they all take up room on your hard drive. I don't know of a way to do exactly what you want - you can try looking at your trash in column view and it will show you the last time you modified or opened a file - that might give you an idea.

we are trying to migrate an OIM development environment to a preproduction environment and we need to migrate more than 400 IT Resources. We have exported some IT Resources and when we imported them in the preproduction environment their data was not migrated. Is there any way to export IT Resource data from OIM using the export tool? Or is there any other way to do this without doing it by hand?
