Is there anyway to extend the bookmarks toolbar to two lines so I don't have a drop down arrow I have another bookmarks line all together?

Maybe use the Bookmarks sidebar instead (Command+B).
You can also add code to userChrome.css below the default @namespace line to display the Bookmarks Toolbar when you hover to the top of the window to unhide the toolbars and tab bar.<br />
I don't know if that works on a Mac.

If you are recording from BBC1 (channel 1) then the box should handle it automatically using the start/stop signals that are broadcast (EIT p/f).
If you are recording from BBC 1 HD (101) this is a multicast Extra TV channel and you can adjust the end padding in Settings.
However, both systems only work if the box has a tuner available. For example, if it finishes at 9pm Sunday and two other recordings start at the same time the box will have to decide what to do and should end the first recording at exactly 9pm so it can start the others. This is OK providing the programme doesn't run late - if it does you'll miss the end off he recording. All boxes have this problem.
I wouldn't expect the BBC to overrun on this though - they are normally better than other broadcasters.
It would be interesting to know if you do have any recordings around 9pm - do let us know. If this is the problem then see if you can record the 9pm programmes at a different time (eg if they are broadcast again later).

Is there any way to extend the spin time?

I'm retrieving heaps of old jobs from archived CDs and DVDs and what's becoming apparent is the time the CD/DVD is spinning. I can understand saving energy etc, but it's not very long at all, which means I've been spending about 3 or 4 seconds per job, waiting for the disc to spin up. Times that over the hundred+ jobs I've got, and it'll add up.. Is there any way to extend the spin time to something more like 30 seconds, or something else?

The only thing you could try is to deselect the "spin down hard disk's when possible" option in the energy saver System Pref's. I doubt this will provide much success, but its worth a shot.

No, this is not controllable directly by apps or by users (and 30-days is not contractual).
If your app needs to store data in the cloud perpetually then you'll need to use your own server.
If the app is installed then roamed data will still be saved on the client systems until the user removes it.

I am trying to get as much screen real estate as I can. Is there a way to dock the object toolbar to the top dock areabar? Ideally i would like to place it under the main options bar.
I have tried everything I can think of to do this. It seems like I am missing something easy to make this happen.
Along the same lines it would be great if you could place the timeline across the entire bottom of the Captivate window with any of your other docks above it. I don't need that much room for the other dock, but a wider timeline bar would be fantabulous. Docking the timweline to the top would work as well.

Do you want the workspace to look in this way? :
You just need to drag the object toolbar, towards right and move that near to the toolbar.
Same goes for Timeline and other Pods.
I used classic workspace and just dragged and moved the pods to the desired positions, you can save that workspace after making changes.

Is there a way toeither have 2 bookmark toolbars [BT] displayed or resize the one [BT] to show more bookmarks?

I use quite a few different boookmarks quite regularly. I would like to display more bookmarks on my bookmark toolbar instead of having to use the drop down meny to the right at the end of the toolbar.

You may shorten names so that more bookmarks fit, or nest folders so that they are themselves drop downs of bookmarks or of other folders. There is an add on that doubles the bookmarks toolbar I believe.
Also if you use newer versions of Firefox there are [[what are app tabs?|app tabs]] and [[what are tab groups?|tab groups]].
You probably are not even on the latest version of 3.6 and should consider updating, preferably to the latest release which will be Firefox 8 !

You can try searching for a Safari third party extension or plug-n that does this.
Most folks prefer the name of the bookmark opposed to the webpage icon considering most users have hundreds of bookmarks on the bar.

I no longer can access my old desktop at all, is there a way to get the bookmarks from just the Sync account or an Android device to a new machine?

My desktop that I use for my primary device's hard disk died recently and my laptop shortly after got hit with a virus. This has left me unable to get to any of my bookmarks that were stored on my Sync account.
However, my cell phone still has all the old desktop links. Is there a way to get Sync to get those from the cloud onto the deskop, or do I have to start a slow process of sending links from my phone to my PC one at a time?

Is there a way to hide the bookmarks bar in iOS 8 on the iPad? It takes up a large part of the screen when in landscape mode

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

When I activate the Menu Bar, the Bookmarks drop down menu gets hidden. If I deactivate the Menu Bar, the Bookmarks drop down reappears. I've tried moving the shortcut around but no matter where it is, it goes away when the Menu Bar is active. I'm using Firefox 9.0.1.

That Bookmarks button is supposed to work that way - be hidden when the Menu Bar, with the Bookmarks menu item, is showing.
