Is there a way to extract highlighted text from preview

Hi I'm new to the community but would like to know if there is a way to extract all of the text I have highlighted in a pdf viewed in preview? Basically a quick versioin of cutting and pasting multiple highlighted items at once.

You might want to look at the source for the icon editors here.

  • Is there a way to transfer my texts from my old Droid2 to my new Droid2?

I have a new Droid2 (side note... I replaced a damaged Droid2 - recommend getting a cover for your Droid... I dropped my sans cover... and the glass now has a big spider web crack in it)
What I want to know is there a way to transfer my texts from my old phone to my new phone?
    Thank you.

I can get on with my replacement phone... was able to get to market and then download the SMS backup app... so not sure that is the problem... it may have to do with fact that I am trying to do this on my old phone which has been deactivated (of course I wish I had done this before I did that and activated the new phone)...
On the old phone I am able to connect to Wifi but when I go to the market I keep getting the error.  May just call it a night and retry tomorrow... it could be that I just am going to lose all my saved texts.
    thanks for trying to hep
You have the gmail account loaded on the old phone?
All is not lost.  Try this route.  I can't remember but does the Droid 2 on an on-board file explorer? If you have Astro or Estrongs file explorer on the new phone, make a backup of SMS Backup to the SD card.  Put the sd card in the old phone , turn on the ability for third-party apps. Install the apk you saved from the other phone. Run the backup. Swap the card to the other phone properly. Restore on the new phone.
    Good luck.

  • Is there a way to excerpt all texts from the captivate course?

Hi all, can someone tell me whether there is a way to excerpt all texts from a captivate file? We need to convert all the texts on the screen to audio and insert the audio into each slide... Thank you for any inputs.

    Hi there
Try clicking File > Export > Project Captions and Closed Captions. That should produce a Microsoft Word document.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Is there a way to extract the transitions from the trailers in iMovie '11 to use in my own movie?

I want to create an iMovie, and I'd like to use bits and pieces from the different movie trailers templates. Is there a way for me to extract just the transitions from these trailers.
I don't want to use the trailers themselves as they are now because the options are too limited in respect to how I can create the movie. For example, there are times where I only want two words on the screen, but I am forced to use three instead. Also, I would like to delete such things as "cast" and "credits," but it doesn't seems like I can do that either.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Cheers.

    No there is not.
You could create a trailer, share it and then re-import and cut out just the pieces you want, but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

  • Is there a way to Extract all formulas from Crystal Reports files?

    Hi:
I have about 40 Crystal Reports (.rpt files).  I need to go through each one and look at formulas if a certain variable/value is used since it has currently changed.  It is taking way too long and not to mention inefficent to open each file, look through any place where there could be custom formulas such as when to suppress - etc.  Is there are way to easily exact all custom formulas from all those report into say a Text file so I can do a Search for it?  That would be the easiest way to find what I'm looking for.
    I have Crystal Reports XI.
Thanks in advance for your help.

One option is to use a tool such as rptInspector.  See: [http://www.softwareforces.com/Product/ri/pro/3/rptInspector.htm|http://www.softwareforces.com/Product/ri/pro/3/rptInspector.htm]

  • Is there a way to stop .oam files from previewing as previously placed files in Muse CC?

I'm placing a new .oam file in a new website I'm creating in Muse but it previews as a previous .oam file that I used in a previous website. When preview the page on a browser it's fine but it's making it hard to place the .oam file in the correct position. Is there a way to stop this from happening so it previews correctly in Muse?

If you're using Safari as your web browser go to "Safari -> Preferences...", select "General" from the toolbar and uncheck the "Open safe files after downloading" box.
Other browsers should have a similar setting in their prefs.

  • Is there any way to add a text from html into a PDF form using javascript?

I have a SCORM based package having only a PDF form to show. I want to add user name from SCORM LMS to be added on the PDF whenever user launches PDF from LMS.
Please let me know if there is any way to execute this.
    Thanx.

Hi, hbirkie, and welcome to Apple Discussions. No, there isn't any way to apply text to a photo in iPhoto — you have to do that in a different application. MS Word is the last one I would ever have thought of using for that purpose, but if it works for you, great!

  • Is there a way to transfer subtitles (text) from one iMovie file to another?

    Hi,
I spent literally hours of my life using iMovie 09 to add subtitles to a video before realising that I'd added them to the wrong one! You see, when I imported the video that I actually wanted to add subtitles to, instead of showing up at the top of the "Last Import" screen which would have made sense, it showed up at the bottom - below another version of the same video that I had imported into iMovie a month earlier. I didn't even remember doing this so didn't think twice about spending hours meticulously adding subtitles to this file. It's only when I got to the end of it that I saw the other video and nearly passed out from disbelief and anger....
Anyway, before I go through the whole painful process again, I just wanted to make sure that there's not a way to transfer the subtitles I did for the wrong video onto the right video? If there is, and someone could tell me how, I will love you forever.
    Thanks!
P.S. Why is iMovie 09 not an option in the dropdown menu?

You should be keeping them all on your computer.  You can just sync them to your new idevice
    You can also redownload them.

  • Is there a way to extract a sequence from an FCP7 project that crashes on opening?

I ingeniously used a Reference Quicktime to edit with in an old project, and now that that RefQT no longer works (the files it references are old, were moved/removed), the project stalls FCP7 with the rainbow pinwheel after the reconnection dialog is dismissed in any way.
My question - can I somehow get the sequence within this project out of the project and into a project that might open? Just for ***** and giggles, I tried to import the project as an EDL and it gave me a sequence, but it was blank and had an odd name.
Is there any hope? Have I just boned myself by using that RefQT in the first place? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Just to clarify, if you attempt to launch the project that contains the corrupted sequence,  the application crashes regardless if your dismiss the Offline Files prompt by clicking either the Reconnect button or the Continue Button?
Yep. Tried Reconnecting and Dismissing both (even reconnecting to a different non-reference QT), but once it's all over, same result -- rainbow pinwheel.
If you click Continue, and the get the pinwheel, if you go to the Apple menu > Force Quit does it say "Final Cut Pro - Not Responding"?
Yep. I also tried letting it run for 5-10 minutes just to see if it would figure itself out, but to no avail.

  • Is there a way to easily import text from an Excel spreadsheet into InDesign?

Not as a table, but cutting and pasting the text inside each cell  (the end result is a large multi-page directory with formatted copy underneath each entry).

This sounds like the perfect job for Data Merge.

  • Extract highlighted text in PDF

    Hi,
I want to write a tool which can extract highlighted text from the pdf and export the text into another pdf file. Can somebody give me directions how to do that.
if you think some tool already has that capacity, please let me know. Most of the tool I know just extract the summary like the location of the highlighted portion but not the actual text associated with it.

I know this isn't specific to PS but hope there's an answer here.
I'm transcribing some of the metadata from image files to build a simple catalog.  Included are things like dimensions, resolution, and photo date.  Is there a way to extract this data other than manually?

Are you talking about extracting a txt conversation and exporting that to email?
    http://deciphertools.com/tm-mac.html
or you talking about sending a txt using your email?
Each carrier has a different email address:
    AT&T – [email protected]
    Verizon – [email protected]  ???
Verizon - [email protected]    pictures too
    T-Mobile – [email protected]
    Sprint PCS - [email protected]
    Virgin Mobile – [email protected]
    US Cellular – [email protected]
    Nextel - [email protected]
    Boost - [email protected]
    Alltel – [email protected]
If you are talking about txting to an email address,  not so much??
Copy your txt and paste it in a new email to send to an email address.
