Is there a way to find a lost ipod thru my droid phone? if so....how?

I lost my ipod bout a week ago and i cannot find it for the life of me. Is there a way to track it thru my droid? And if so how?? Step by step instructions if possible from anyone who knows how to help me!! Thank you

If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled). Log into icloud.com from any web browser and go to the Find My iPod section. Note that the iPod will only be located to the closest WiFi router. You'll still have a pretty large area to search.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. If you think you know a general area where you lost it, you can try sending an email or Facetime request and it's possible you'll hear the tone and be able to locate the iPod that way.

I have lost my iPhone(4)and the battery is dead. I have the "locate device application", however, I know the battery is dead. Why hasn't Apple created a way to find a lost iPod without using FindMyiPhone or iCloud?

I think that the majority of users, like me, don't know that there is even a way to find a lost iPod/iPhone until AFTER they lose it. Appl should find some other way to find a lost/stolen iPod without using apps/iCloud. Personalley, I find the FindMyiPhone app useless because it can only be used in wifi locations and through iCloud. I don't even HAVE an iCloud account because I didnt think i needed it. I had 16 gb to use so i assumed i didn't need the extra space iCloud offered.

The iPhone 5 was either lost or stolen, and it does not appear as online in the Find iPhone app. Can i access the last place it was online? And if i can't, is there any way to track my phone to see if the data was cleared and someone is using it with another Apple ID?

The last known location is displayed for up to 24 hours, then it is cleared until it goes back online, if ever. If the phone has been restored and reactived as a new device, or erased and set up with a different ID, it can no longer be tracked.
