Is there a way to find iphone backups in itunes that aren't already listed

i back up my phone every 2 weeks.  it crashed last night and when i went to restore from a backup, it only lists backups from 4/11.  is there a way to find the newer backups somewhere on my mac?

Usually iTunes replaces the old backup with the content of the new one. Only if you use a backup to restore from, iTunes will not replace it, but add a time stamp to it.
If you use TimeMachine on your Mac, you can restore the iTunes backup folder, to get your desired backup point back, but all setting and other data will be reset to that point in time as well.

  • Is there a way to find out all the apps that I've deleted on my iPhone? If so how?

Is there a way to find out all the apps that I have deleted on my iPhone ? If so how?
And all so if I have cleared my history on safari but not in the settings is there a way to retrieve the last sites visited? If so how?
    Thanks.

    What is iOS 5 ?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1521
And does my iPhone 4 as that?
    Settings>>General>>About>>Version
    (Used my iTouch as example)
And if it deos how can I see the apps that I've deleted ?
    App Store>>Updates>>Purchased
Scroll through the list of apps that your purchased, and if you remember the apps that you delete, the search will be a lot easier.
If you don't have iOS 5, you can update your iPhone and since you have an iPhone 4, you can only go up to iOS 6.1.3

    Hope all this helps.

Music can be re-downloaded in some countries - does music show under the Purchased tab under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (re-downloading) ? If it does then you can re-download them for free (though not all purchases may still be the store). If you are not in a country where music can currently be re-downloaded and you don't have a backup then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Is there a way to search for movies on iTunes that have subtitles?

Is there a way to search for movies on iTunes that have subtitles?
I know if you look at any individual movie, it will say CC and below that, it will tell you if closed captioning is available in English or another language. I'm just wondering if there is some way to search for all the movies that have this available since many of them don't.

The best solution I've come across so far is to dump all movies into a shareware app called iVI. It'll show whether each movie has subtitles or not.

  • Is there a way to find out if the number that was given to the ipod is long distance or not.

I just got my daughter a ipod touch and we downloaded the textnow app.  the number that was given to her is there a way to find out if it is a long distance number?  And if she calls people does it charge anything?

Why do you want to get it from browser URL while you can get it from ABAP?
I think you can try SY-LANGU to get the language of user.
    Best regards,

  • I think HD is broken, is there a way to find a part of it thats not broken.

im not an advanced mac user so please dont laugh, but what i figured out is (i think) is that my hard drive is broken, first it started of with random apps just shutting down, and having the "restart" your computer sing popping out, where u cant do anything but manually turn off ur mac. I tried doing the repair disk with installer disc, all it tells me is that it could not be repaired because of an error, is there anyway to find the part of the hard drive that has the error or broken and not use it? and install the osx on the part thats still good? if not, can i get a external hard drive and install os on that and how would i do that? and how would i boot that os and not the one thats installed on my mac already if not that is there anyways to repair the disk ( im assuming that sending the laptop to apple and replacing the harddrive there would be too costly as ,i am a poor college student)
    thank you

Do you have specific evidence that the internal drive is really damaged? As I said, the drive itself could be in perfect condition and it is just the directory that is damaged which is not a physical part of the drive.
If you don't care about what is on there now you can format the drive with write zeros (once) option to check the drive condition. This will erase all data! You can then reinstall the operating system and replace any files you have. Before doing this you can copy any files you may still want on the drive, but I would not replace any guaranteed good copy with a questionable copy. Let's say you had a paper you were working on with a copy from two days ago on the flash drive and a copy from yesterday on the main drive. I'd copy the main drive version in case it works but is more up to date, but I'd still keep the old version in case the new version was corrupted. The only way to tell is to open a file and see if it looks okay.

  • HT5787 What do I do if my iPod was stolen and I checked my support profile and when I entered the serial # I got a message saying it has been registered to another Apple ID? Is there a way to find out that Apple ID so that we can locate the iPod?

What should I do if my iPod has been stolen and when I checked my support profile and entered my serial # and I received a message that the serial # had been registered to another Apple ID account? Is there a way to find out the Apple ID that it was registered to? I have already checked find my iPod and it shows my iPod is offline. I have already filed a police report.

No, sorry, there is no way you can get that information. The police perhaps could, but it would probably require a court order and it's unlikely the police will go to those lengths unless they have reason to believe that this theft was not an isolated instance and hence worth more of their time than the single theft of an iPod.
Even if they got the ID, it may well just be yours. Apple's registration database often contains such errors; I get the same message for some of my devices when I know I registered them to my Apple ID and the devices are all still right here.

  • Is there any way to find a lost iPhone even if the Find my iPhone app is not logged in with iCloud account?

    Hello everyone,
I've lost my iPhone 5s yesterday in a party. The Find my iPhone app is not logged in with my iCloud account in the phone. Is there any way to find the phone? I'm really lost in this matter. Please help, if you can!
    Thank you.

Thanks for taking the time to respond!!
I didn't think so, but was hoping this was a time, that someone knew something that I didn't.

  • HT4623 Is there any way to find a lost iPhone once the phone's battery has expired?

I have lost my iPhone(4)and the battery is dead. I have the "locate device application", however, I know the battery is dead. To my knowledge, once the battery has expired, it cannot be retrieved using the "lost device/find my device" application.?? Is this correct? If so, is there another way to find this lost iPhone?

Thanks for taking the time to respond!!

  • TS4036 I purchased an iphone for my daughter and we are using the same account and she deleted some contacts from her phone and they were deleted off of my contacts as well. Is there a way to use icloud backup to reinstall the contacts to my phone?

I purchased an iphone for my daughter and we are using the same account and she deleted some contacts from her phone and they were deleted off of my contacts as well. Is there a way to use icloud backup to reinstall the contacts to my phone?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.

  • Is there a way to find my iPhone 4s if I did not download the find my iPhone app?

Is there a way to find my iPhone 4s if I did not install the find my iPhone app?

The app has nothing to do with this. The app allows someone to locate their iOS device with your iOS device.
Now, what if he had the app installed, and someone else did too, by what you're saying, he could then track his iPhone using theirs.
So the app actually has some bearing, not much, but it's there. I was merely stating that without either the app, or iCloud, then no, he cannot track it. But he can use iCloud because he possibly has Find My iPhone activated.
Now, why don't we both be good little children, shake hands, wander off, and try to help some people rather than argue with eachother for no apparent reason?

Lost my iphone. I dont have mobile me and I dont have find iphone. Is there a way of finding it? Thank you.

But the app has nothing to do with enabling tracking on the lost device.  To enable tracking of a device you do need a mobileme account in order to turn on the tracking feature so you can then find the lost device with either a computer and web browser or the app (running on another device).

I'm assuming the OP meant that he had not enabled the tracking on the device.

  • HT4597 Someone reset my iPhone and it was not me is there a way to find out how they were able to access my info?

Someone reset my iPhone and it was not me is there a way to find out how they were able to access my info?

There are two ways to reset an iPhone, 1)  the user actually using the iphone can perform a reset from Settings, and 2) a user to knows the iphone's iCloud ID and password and do a remote reset.
I'm assuming you didn't personally reset it while on the iPhone, so my question is ...  does anyone else know your iCloud ID and password?  Have you set up multiple devices (perhaps belonging to other members of your family - something you generally shouldn't do, if you don't want to sync the same data to all devices in the family) and used the same iCloud ID on all of them?  Perhaps a family member or a "friend" of a member used Find My iPhone to locate yours and remote wiped it.
