Is there a way to get itunes on windows 8.1 RT?

I just want to know if Apple has any plans on making an iTunes app that is comptatible with windows rt.

If you have those purchases on an iPod, simply dock the iPod & you will be asked if you want to sync your purchases iPod back into iTunes.

Hopefully you moved the entire iTunes Media (or iTunes Music) folder to a new path on your external drive. Copy your iTunes library folder out to the root of the external drive, e.g. X:\iTunes (where X: is your external drive), then move the media folder inside it. Hold down shift as you start iTUnes and keep holding untila asked to choose or create a library. Choose the library at X:\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl. Should all be good.
Failing that, download and run my FindTracks script and point it at the new location of your media folder.

  • Is there a way to get iTunes to find tracks it can't locate on its own?

I have my iTunes music folder on an external drive, and my computer, for some reason, couldn't locate the songs on there for a few days. Now, it's back to normal, but many of the tracks have the little exclamation mark next to them, and when I try to play them, the computer tells me the original track could not be found, and asks if I'd like to locate it. If I search, I can easily find the track, but is there a way to have iTunes locate the tracks on its own?
    Thanks!

Not that I know of. It's a pain.
Make sure you always have your exHD operational before you start iTunes, or this can happen.

  • Is there a way to get iTunes to halt on import errors from CD?

I've been importing a bunch of CDs on my G5 Quad, and I've found that when there are issues with the disc iTunes will retry a few times - you can see the progress bar halt - and will say the import succeeded where in reality the imported track has skips in it.
Is there any way to tell iTunes to error out when this happens? Would shutting off error recovery help or just result in more skips in imported songs?
This behavior makes it impossible to import in an automated way; instead you have to watch the progress bar like a hawk and/or check each imported song...

  • Is there a way to get itunes to stop defaulting to 'my music?'

    This is very frustrating --
I am using an external HD to hold my music library. Smart, right? So occasionally I open itunes without the external drive connected and it just creates a new media folder on my C drive in "My Music." Then I have to go back and manually re-import everything that's on the external drive by dragging it over -- this takes several hours.
    So, two questions, really:
    1. Is there a way to set a pref that prevents itunes from simply making a new folder if it can't find the library associated with it?
    2. Failing that, what is the easiest way to get everything back in one place (already tried 'consolidate' and it put the songs on the external drive, but now they do not show up on itunes even with the library set to look there under 'advanced.')
    Thanks!

You can access these properties the same as any other, for example:
    tell application "iTunes"
set someVariable to track 1 of library playlist 1
       tell someVariable
          set theName to name
          set theArtist to album artist
          set theAlbum to album
          set theTime to time
       end tell
    end tell
display dialog theName & return & theArtist & return & theAlbum & return & theTime with title "iTunes Info"

  • Is there any way to get itunes music from my ipad to my ipod without a computer and only 4g?

Lets say you have an ipad (a new one) and an ipod.  Thats all you have.  The ipad has 4g.  You can have access to other small hardware devices like cables and stuff but no other computer like device and no wifi internet.
Is it possible to get itunes music from the ipad and onto the ipod with just this?

Would those work if I am using the 4g wifi hotspot on the ipad to get the music onto an ipod touch?  I am willing to give up third party music if this would work. Just not sure if it would work since the 4g wifi has that 50mb restriction

  • ITunes / Shadow / Import - Is there ANY way to get iTunes to work on the Media Hub 405?

Since I installed the Linksys Media Hub 405 my iTunes Library has become a mess to manage or enjoy.  I'm using the latest software.
    1.  I have so so so so many duplicates
    2.  I can't use playlists
    3.  Some art work shows up others do not.
    A.  Itunes works great on my Dell Laptop w/ Vista Ultimate and on my iPod
    B.  The Media Hub is using Import and The Shadow keeps running but gets errors from time to time.
If the ONLY reason I bought the Media Hub is to run iTunes for 4,600 song library what should my settings and software running be to keep it up to date "automaticly" WITHOUT duplicates?
Should Shadow be on or off, and what setting?
Should Import be on or off, and what settings?
Can ANYONE answer this question is a common sense simple manner?  Thank you.

If you worry about duplicate files on your Media Hub then you should use NTI Shadow. When creating a backup job on NTI Shadow make sure your choose "save your folder/file changes to the backup destination every time you save changes to your PC" then for the file versions options choose "Do not save any previous file version".
Check on Step 8 and 9 on this article.

  • Is there any way to install iTunes on windows 7 without it changing all my desktop shortcuts to iTunes?

I just got a new iPhone 6 and I want to use iTunes to download songs and back my info up on iCloud, but every time I try to install iTunes it replaces all my shortcuts with iTunes! I had to entirely uninstall it last time to be able to use google chrome again. Is there any solution to this problem?

Should you find that all of your desktop shortcuts have turned into links to the iTunes application download and apply the lnk registry fix from www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html.

  • Is there a way to run iTunes on startup minimized directly to the system tray?

Ive been trying to tweak registry and even created a .bat file in order to fix this but still not working.
Since iOS 5 can sync wirelessly, is there a way to run iTunes on windows startup minimized directly to the system tray?
    Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Correction...
It's a bit of a kludge, but copy the following two lines and paste into an empty Notepad window. Click Save As, change the Save as file type to All files and call the script MinimiTunes.vbs. Place the script or a shortcut to it into your startup group. iTunes will still open as full screen but will minimize shortly thereafter.
    Set iTunes=CreateObject("iTunes.Application")
    iTunes.Windows.Item(1).Minimized=True
Alternatively, download the script MinimiTunes from my site.

No there's not.  Otherwise that wouldn't be very secure, would it?
