Is there a way to have text hug an object?

I'm not sure if "hugging" is the right word. In document programs like Microsoft Word or Mac Pages, you can have the text hug a photo/textbox. You move the image and the text moves accordingly. Is there a way to do this in Illustrator? Basically I have text inside of a letter "A." The texts goes behind the triangle of the middle of the A instead of around it. So far I have been manually spacing the words apart but it is quite time consuming and it doesn't look as nice as it does below. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Oh I run the newest cc version of ai.

Select your object (e.g.: blue circle, martini glass).
Shift Command ] - to bring to top if needed.

Is there a way to have text alongside an inline Table?

Hi. Firstly, I have had the problem (after saving and re-opening my pages document) of having floating images not formatted in the same place. Anyone else encounter this? The only the way this doesn't happen is if I make them all inline before saving. The problem is that Tables seem not to be able to support the wrap features of having text be beside them on the same page. I wanted to do this with some long, narrow tables. I can get them floating to arrange them, but when I hit inline Pages formats them to only those wrap styles that have no text adjacent to the Table. Anyone know how to do this?—I do not understand why it isn't possible really. It should be.
Despite this, I am very happy with Pages. I am in Trial mode now, but will likely purchase it and switch thereto from Word. As someone who works with multiple language fonts on the same page line however, I hope these issues are fixed in future editions. I like the fluidity of Pages and hope there is real effort to keep expanding it for Mac users.

I am in Word Processing mode using a blank template I believe, I converted the document from Word originally.
I did a two column layout, and I am fine with the looks, thanks for suggesting alternatives. One nuissance is that my table is the whole length of the page, and with the layout break of one page line it causes my text on the next page to be spaced one line below the top. I hope Pages will allow text wrap around for tables in future editions.
As an aside, are there plans in the next Pages '10 or so to make it workable with Hebrew and Arabic, i.e. right to left text? I will need to be able to fluidly work with these alphabets on the same page line as English, and the sooner the better (I am aware of Mellel, but also need good graphics compatibility and like the fluidity of Pages).
I took a screenshot but do not see any attachment options.

I’m currently working on converting a bunch of Flash diagrams to mobile-friendly HTML with Edge Animate and would like to be able to tweak the styling of all of them with a single master CSS file.
While I know it’s possible to overwrite Animate’s inline styles by including external CSS files and using the !important declaration, it would be incredibly handy for use cases like mine to be able to have Animate not use any inline styling and instead save all styling to an external CSS file whose path is referenced clearly in the code snippets that we already have to add to our HTML in order to include the Edge animation files, so the path to the CSS can be quickly and easily changed when moving from test to deployment, etc.
Any chance of this option being added?

I wish it did utilize a.css as opposed to inline as well.

Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

I would also like this issue addressed.
I am using a Plantronics Voyager Pro+ and when it is connected to my iPhone 4, email and text sounds are not audible through the phone. The phone just vibrates when a new text or email is received.
I don't really care if it plays through the headset, but it should at least play through the phone. I tested the headset from a BlackBerry and the alerts play fine.

Is there a way to have hardware acceleration without the text font change? I remember there was a way to go into settings before and getting hardware acceleration to work without the font change. Unfortunately I lost ALL my previous setting when uninstalling the beta ver Nightly and clicking delete settings :(.
Also, I fixed a problem before where firefox was visually eye straining to me, I think it was some settings in anti-alias tuner, but I cant seem to find the right settings that puts less strain on my eyes, anyone know? Thanks ahead. Currently using FF7.

I think it is a tremendous problem. Im my case it is extremelly important to manage, organize and sort favorites.
I am new to Mac and safari... and I spent a lot of time researching a solution for that thinking it was me that couldnt find this option. I like to use safari because of the "gestures". This is great. But when it comes to favorites, safari is a nightmare!!!
Also, I use to like the option in Firefox that we can have the leftside bar with the favorites and navigate to the links in the right. In safari the links are open in the full page. And then we need to come back to the favorite everytime.
I would be glad if someone could come out with good solution or suggestions how to deal with it in fafari.

OMG! When I went back into the ai file and made sure that the text was on it's own layer (which I had not originally done) I could indeed edit the text in the file when exported to ps! This is a perfect solution for this situation. As far as the person I'm working with - who fears ai more than anything - I can work in ai - which in many ways is so much less cumbersome than ps - and just export - clicking "preserve" layers & text editing! Is there a way to have iTunes show what is in the iTunes music folder?

I have several folders that I moved from an old iTunes music folder into a newer one on a different HD. I just put the music into the folder, but not into iTunes. So now, I have a huge folder of music that doesn't show up in my iTunes library. I was cleaning off the HD to make room for something else, so I deleted the "old" iTunes folder with all the music in it. The music is in my new iTunes folder, but not in my iTunes program. Sorry this is so convoluted!
What I want to know is this: Is there a way to have iTunes recognize and check for music in the iTunes folder that is not already in the iTunes program? Exactly what does consolidate library do? Could that solve the issue? I am a little intimidated because it says that it cannot be undone.

I am using SSRS 2012. I have a series of charts that have multiple category groups. When I preview the chart, everything looks great unless the category group label is too long. In that case it just gets cut off. I've tried allowing
"wrapped text", changed interval values,font size for Y AXIS but that seems to only affect the inside (child) category group. Is there a way to allow text wrapping on the outside (parent) group label?
I am expecting AREA VIII BUT it shows AR on y axis.
I need to fix it asap.

Actually, I can reproduced the issue in my local Reporting Services environment. If there are multiple category groups on the chart, the child category can be wrapped, but the parent category would be truncated. Based on my research, this behavior looks
like by design. Usually, the best practice is to limiting label length and number of items, use a smaller size label font or enlarge the chart size to get the chart to display properly.

In fact, it would be cool if text-to-speech highlighted each word that is being spoken through out the document during dictation and you could rewind, pause or fastforward the speech in real-time. Is this feature available? if not, can anyone recommend any other programs that can do this?

Yes!
With fully modern Cocoa applications (like Safari, Preview, TextEdit, and Mail) you can select the line or page and then from the application menu > Services > Speech > Start Speaking Text
You can also select and then Control-Click on the selection and then pick Speech > Start Speaking Text from the contextual menu. (Works with Safari, TextEdit, and Mail, but not Preview for PDF.)

I think Safari has the same keyboard shortcut as Firefox "command+F" on a Mac or "Ctrl+F" on Windows.
Look in the lower left corner for the Find. There are more likely to be differences in Find Next and Find Previous in the keyboard shortcuts, but continuing at the Find bar at the bottom doesn't matter what browser you use. There is an "X" there to dismiss the Find bar. In Windows the "Esc" key will dismiss the bar if you are within the find text entry area.

It was awhile ago and I'm not totally sure, but I think this was discussed and the conclusion was that you can't delete texts using the external screen of the Env3. **Edit (Found one thread: http://community.vzw.com/t5/Messaging-Text-Picture-IM-etc/No-option-to-delete-text-messages-from-front-of-LG-enV3/m-p/43042#M1684 ) It came up in one other thread that I could find and the solution was to use the internal, and similar steps were given - the only difference was using the OK for Menu and #2 for Messages, rather than the left soft key for Messages. vWhatever works...
What you CAN do, is open the flip, left soft key (which is the Messages menu), and there are several options - these are the text messaging ones -
1. New Message
2. Inbox (#)
3. Sent (#)
4 Drafts (#)
Press the right soft key (options) and your choices are:
1.Erase Inbox
2.Erase Sent
3.Erase Drafts
4.Erase All
If you choose Erase All, then OK - it will erase all except unread messages, and locked messages. If you choose any of the numbers, then hit OK, it will erase ALL in that category, read or not, so I would choose Option 4 to erase all but the unread.
