Is there a way to import/export tab delimited files to a table in Pages 2?

It seems like Pages is starting to get funtionality that might help wean me off of Excel. In this vein, is it possible to import or export tab delimited files to a table in Pages 2?

I had some success in Pages 1, but I've only tried a couple of times so far in Pages 2 without success. The trick was to make sure the table is the exact number of columns wide. It's very "klunky" but I've ended up converting the tab-delimited text to a table in AppleWorks, saving the AppleWorks file with the table as a "floating" object (fixed objects don't translate) & opening the file in Pages. It's quicker & easier for most of what I do to just drag & drop in Pages.

Is there a way to import metadata to wav files in my library?
I have about 1,500 .wav files that are presently in my iTunes library, but as most of you are aware .wav files have their limitations with regard to how iTunes translates their specific track information. I haven't been archiving using .wav in sometime, I've since switched to another more iTunes friendly format. But, I have these 1,500 files left and I'm desperately trying to find a faster way to log the info.
I've built a data table with all of the track information I want to import. Does anyone know of a good macro, or script that will allow me to import this data so I don't have to manually open each individual .wav file and input this manually?
Any help would be appreciated!
Note: I've searched the forums, and I've looked at similar posts, but nothing to solve this specific little quandary. If I've somehow overlooked a post, please forgive my repeat post.

I have a script called TagFromFilename that can apply fill in the details that can be extracted from the file path if the .wavs are stored in the layout <Album Artist>\<Album>\[D-]## <Name>[ - <Artist>].<Ext> where D is an optional leading disc number and <Artist> is an optional trailing artist (otherwise both artist and album artist are set to the grandparent folder). You just need to make sure that before you add the tracks to iTunes, that it won't rename the files. You can do this by turning off the Keep option if the files are inside the media folder, or the copy option if the tracks are located outside.
Alternatively I have another script called ExportImport which allows for almost any editable to be adjusted, as long as you can export the internal track IDs of each track and then marry them up with the data you want to import. See Batch Add Comments Tag Solution? for a previous example of how if might be done. I'll gladly go into more detail if you tell me what fields you already have and what identifying information is present.

Is there a way to import/export custom perspective across work spaces?

I like to have perspective arranges just so - it is a modified page flow with a lot of extra views and is laid out for my dual monitor setup. I can save my perspective with a name, but that named perspective is only available in the workspace I save it in.
I have not found a way to import the saved perspective from one workspace to apply to a new workspace. Can this be done?

I have not found a way to do this in both Eclipse 3.2 and 3.3.
However, looks like there are plans to introduce such a feature.

Product Licence importing via tab delimitted file questions

I am looking at using the import purchase records functionality to import licence data from a CMDB.
Because i have product licencing data in another system, i need to integrate them somehow, and came across the import feature.
it is a business requirement to produce software compliance reports that are accurate on any given day. Now i can get the data out of
the CMDB and into the required tab delimited format
Doing an initial extract and import seems pretty straight forward, basically get all the software products and thier associated allowed installations figure, do reconcilliations.
But over time, when updates are required, how does ZAM handle subsequent imports of the same products. eg. if on the first import
say theres initially 10 licences for ABCSoftware.
next import, 2 licences have been added since the last import giving 12 current licences
and likewise the extract from our CMDB says theres 12 licences for ABCSoftware.
once imported into ZAM, will ZAM report 12 licences or 22 (10 previously and new 12)
how does this work? the documentation does not give this level of detail.
And similar for expired or decommisioned licences, if we've gone from 10 to 5 licences for ABCSoftare, does the import function have any smarts to it?
would it be required to delete previosly imports product licences and start again, having to do rreconcilliatios for every product again?

Is there a way to import a indd CS4 file with its Data Fields names and properties into CC?

I have to convert numerous files from CS4 to CC. The CS4 files are using external data from a CSV file. When I open the file in CS4 I can enable the preview and see the data from the CSV file. But when I save the file as indd or idml and try to open it in InDesignCC then I can't see the data as preview. I can see the Data fields (text).I think it's because it doesn't recognize the data fields from the CS4 file. If I delete a data field and remap it I will be able to see the preview for the field I just mapped. the other fields remain the unchanged, like they were just text.
Any help with this topic will be very appreciated. I have about 70 data fields per document and about 100 documents to go through.
Update: The symbol for a data field, ex: «fullname_2» change size when I delete and remap it. Explanation: When I open the CS4 file in IndesignCC I can't view a preview of the Data field(s) (almost positive because it's plain text). The data fields show like this «fullname_2». But when I delete that and drag a field from the data field list it shows like this <<fullname_2>>. So definitely, CC is not reading the data fields from InDesign CS4.
P.S.: The fields above («fullname_2» and <<fullname_2>> are copy and paste from Indesign CC.

Importing a tab dilimited file into cells

How do yo import a tab-delimited file so that when it opens each separated tab is within its own cell in a table? I have .txt files.
Opening in Excel it recognized it as tab-delimited and offered steps to present the file in separated cells as desired.
In Numbers it just opens with all the tabs together in one cell (row separated).
Am I missing something here? This seems pretty basic.

Have you tried dragging the icon of the tab-delimited file onto the Numbers icon? If that comes up with all data in one cell per row, I'd say the file is not tab-delimited. It probably has spaces & you have to "clean up" the text in a word processor.

Is there a way to import data in a spreadsheet or text file into Contacts v7? I have a list of about 500 people and their email addresses in FileMaker Pro that I can export in a number of formats that can be manipulated. Is there any way to get those contacts into Contacts without entering them one at a time?

I have answered my own question. I exported the data from a layout in FileMaker Pro containing the required fields as tab separated text. That produced a .tab file that Contacts wanted nothing to do with. However, when I changed the .tab in the file name to .txt, Contacts accepted it as a file to import (File/Import). I then identified the field in Contacts in which the data in each field in the txt file was to be placed and in it went! The trick was changing .tab to .txt in the name of the file exported by FileMaker Pro.

Yes. Just sync that one album of photos. Its that simple. If that album is nested inside another photos album, just select that particular album in the Sync Photos From heading in the photos tab of iTunes.

I have a multi-page form with a required page layout. The problem with the current form layout, is that I'm finding my users are getting to page "20" and it seems like the natural end of the form...and stop entering information and submit. The problem is, there's an additional form field on the next page that MIGHT need important information.
The information in that final field is only present in about 10% of submissions, but is crucial to the file if present. As I said, the page layout is required.
Is there a way to change the tab order to go from the last form field on page "19" to the form field on page "21" and then back to the form fields on page "20"?

There isn't a submit button. Not even sure what I would do with/or how I would implement a submit button. After processing the form, the filled out form is 'Saved As' to keep the original forms integrity intact. The 'Saved As' file is renamed appropriately, and then it is printed to a PDF file and attached to the appropriate customer file.

Sync your old address book with the one on the iPod. You may have to import them into an intermediate address book like Google contacts since that can be done by importing a file you should be able to export for your address book. Without know your old address book that is all I can say.

Is there some way of importing a series of image files, say jpegs, directly into an open document, rather than having to open all the image files and having to drag and drop each individual one into the open document? Specifically, I'm a dentist and I often get digital xray images emailed to me from other offices. But they come as 16 or 18 individual image files and I have to put them into a virtual "xray mount", so I can view them all at once, rather than having to open all the images and toggle among them. So I open a blank document in PS (CS4), then I navigate to the folder containing all the image files I received, select all of them and open them all. Back in PS, I now have to select each image tab and drag the image into the blank "mount" and close the image. That new image then becomes its own layer in the "mount" document. But I have to repeat this 18 times for each patient! I was thinking if there was a way to open the new "mount" document then select all the image files and somehow "import" all the image files directly into document - essentially "automate" the process - that'd save me BOATLOADS of time and aggravation! Thanks, Curt! When u say "animate" do u mean File | Automate...? Inside Automate, I can't find "Make Frames from Layers"...if you do mean "Animate" I can't find that menu. Zeno replied with a BRILLIANT clarification:

I tried that and it works like a charm! I select all 20 layers in the new document that "stacking" creates and just drag them all onto the virtual "mount" document. That's it! Then I just move each of these layers around as I would otherwise...it's just 1 click and 1 drag/drop. Unless someone comes up with a way to actually "import" all the images directly into the "mount" document, I think this appears to be the most efficient route to follow.
I really appreciate your guys' assistance! It's so great that you guys monitor the forum and help us out with our Photoshop problems! What an awesome program it is, right?

I recently got a new iPhone, and after restoring all my stuff from my old iPhone via the iTunes restore thing, I had to put all my music on manually, instead of it being restored.
iTunes content is not included with your iPhone's backup - no music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, audio and print books, tones, and apps. All iTunes content must be transferred back to your iPhone when restoring. If you sync music with Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, music is transferred back to your iPhone from your iTunes library when syncing - syncing is followed after the iPhone is restored. If you manually manage music and videos with this selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, you must manually drag all music from your iTunes library back to your iPhone. Manually manage music means manually all the way.

I know you can import form data from an .fdf file. Is there a way to import a specific value from that .fdf file into a text field in a separate pdf form?

So I want the FDF to export every time the user saves or closes the PDF. Then I want the import to happen every time the user opens the PDF. That being said, this all has to work with Adobe Reader. If this is possible in anyway, I'd manage this would require some time of script. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately there is no way to move this data into FormsCentral.
As far as your question about using PDFs with FormsCentral, 'soon' is actually 'now'! You have two options:
1) Author a new form with FormsCentral. From the distribute tab, save a submission-enabled PDF form. You can send this form out to your recipients and their responses will be collected on FormsCentral.
2) Import an exsiting PDF form into FormsCentral from the dashboard, and then submission-enable it. Distribute the submission-enabled version and responses will be collected on FormsCentral.
