Is there a way to insert a drop-down list in Numbers for iOS?

I created a spreadsheet in Numbers on my iMac and then transferred it to my iPad, but the iPad version gives me a message stating that drop-down lists are not supported? Is there any way around this?

Is there a way to create a drop down menu with an automatic answer dependent on what is chosen? An if-then statement perhaps? I am looking to add over 100 drop down options and would like to have a message automatically pop up depending one which option they chose. Thank you.

You would use the skip logic to conditionally show form items based on the selection within the drop-down menu. Here's a link to a description of the feature in our help documentation:

Adobe Form... Is there a way to use a drop down menu to highlight or note other fields...

I am working on a simple Adobe form. I am currently trying to figure out if there is a way to use the answers of a drop down menu to either mark, note or highlight 14 other fields. There are 9 possibilities in the drop down menu, include a blank and NONE.
For example if the drop down menu is set to 1, then field 9, 10 and 14 are marked, noted or highlighted.
Is this possible with a script?

Have you looked at the properties that are available to form fields. I would look at setting the fill color or border color for a form field. Either of these can be done with Acrobat JavaScript.

Is there a way to expand all drop-down text in a single topic in the editor?

I'm going through all the topics in a large RH10 project manually checking various things. A lot of topics contain drop-down text and to view the contents, I'm having to right click on each one and select 'Drop-down text properties'. Which is taking FOREVER. So:
a) is there an option to expand all drop-down text in the current topic? I'm sure I remember this from a previous version but can't find it now.
b) is there a keyboard shortcut to open drop-down text?

Hey Everyone,
I am currently working on a private cost center plan and stuck with this problem:
In cell C2 I have a drop down list to choose a specific cost center. Now I want to have a drop down list for my types of costs in D2 but I want the options to depend on what I chose in my Drop down list in C2. In other words each choice from the list in C2 provides me with other options in the list in D2.
Example
C2 drop down list: Apartment, Food
-> if I chose Apartment
Options in D2: loan, electricity, water, heating
-> if I chose Food
Options in D2: fruits, soda, bread
Does anyone have an Idea how to do this?

ps in step 5 the note about preserve row is unneeded- if in step 8 you copy and use Menu > Insert > Copied Rows the formula will adjust.
That is where I went wrong earlier. I did 'preserve row' ($ sign) and then had trouble with Insert Copied Rows (they kept the static references to the single Order Form rows and the expanded table did not work).
Therefore I added this note in Step 5 to not 'preserve row' in step 5 so that the formulas would adjust in Step 8.
Note: don't Preserve Row or this will not work if you want to expand it to an order form for multiple purchases. (See Step 8.)

The need is to define some custom properties for documents in the document directory and to let the user fill up the properties using a drop down list (using the edit option for the card)For example we wuold like to add a properties name departmentwith the following values related to it : Department A , Department B ... so the user should be able to choose from a list. Plumtree offers in the main property setting to define a drop down type for the property and to assign values to it, but from our understanding/findings - these are not accessible to the user but only for admin purposes (defining properties to document types ).Is our understanding correct ?Perhaps someone has already addressed this issue and developed some connection between the drop down values and the edit card page to make the values available to the user ?

Using FormCentral is there a way to create a drop down for a date?

In using a previous version of Adobe Professional, in designing fillable PDF forms we were able to create a field with a drop-down date. Is there any way to do this using FormCentral?

I think want you are asking is if it is possible for to have a Date Field which when the user click on the field a calendar comes up to pick a date?
If that is the case then the PDF generated by FormsCentral doesn't support this yet.
I am guessing that you were using LiveCycle Designer to create forms in the past. The some forms generated by LC Designer does support this type of field.

Is there a way to create interactive drop downs?

I have a product form that I am trying to create a warranty list that allows the user to be able to select specific warranties based on the products they are using.
For example, If the form user selects from a drop down that they are using Product # 1, it will give them another drop down with a list of options for warranties available for that Product. If they choose Product #2, it will give them different warranty options that are available for that product.
If this is possible, is it also able to do more than one level of options. I would like to add a color option in there and warranty length as well.
I know this can be done in Livecycle, but can it be done using the Adobe form tools? My company primarily uses IPads with the PDF Expert app and this is one form that they want accessible.
I am also a beginner with java and form creation so a dumbed down version of an answer would be appreciated.

Yes, it's possible with an acroform. I'd have to check to see if PDF Expert supports the JavaScript that you'd need to use before saying it will work there. It has decent support for JavaScript, but it's not complete as is Reader for Windows/Mac. Unfortunately, Adobe Reader for iOS doesn't support it at all. There's no rotate command to rotate the document. Instead, rotate the iPad. If it doesn't rotate, turn off the Rotation Lock switch on the side of your iPad.

Drop down list of values for a field in ALV rpt within a BADI

I need help on this issue.
TCODE LI21 is used to clear the differences in IM. The business now wants to prompt for a reason code before they can post a new material document for this clearing. I have create an implementation in BADI LE_WM_INV_WM_IM, which display the field for user to enter the reason code. However, I am trying to get a dropdown list which contain the possible values for reason code so the user can choose from this list. There are sample codes to do this but I can't apply to the codes in the implementation because call screen is not allowed. Has anyone done this before or can advise me of the solution?

I implemented an autocomplete mechanism, using ICompletionSession and ICompletionSourceProvider. I have an issue with the size of the drop-down list opened when I use this autocomplete mechanism. The width of the autocomplete list remains the same, even
if the strings displayed change. This is apparent especially when I hit "backspace" on the already typed string, while the drop down list is opened: the deletion of the last character allows for more completion strings to be used, but since the drop
down width does not change, the longer strings appear cut.
Is there a way to force the drop down list to recalculate its width?

I don't think there's any way, even VS itself can't do that you know, and the interfaces don't have such kind of events or properties.

Is there a way to create a drop down list in a cell within a table ? Like the way it can be done in ms word or excell ? I dont mean an interactive pdf/form. I want to create a table in indesign which has drop down lists other people can use to populate a table quickly.

Not possible. InDesign isn't designed to be form-filling software. At best, it can create fields which can be passed on to a PDF file, which usually further has to be edited in Acrobat Pro.

Drop-down list expand upwards

I have a drop down list at the end of my page. when expanding it, the options cannot be seen in their entirety as the page ends immediately after. Users have to use the scroll bar to see all the options. Is there a way to make a drop down list expand upwards instead of downwards?

Just as a test, I tried this out... I am assuming this is what you are trying to do? I put the drop down list at the very bottom of the page and it automatically does this. Maybe you are using an old version of LiveCycle?
