Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). Why is my ipad 4 suddenly going back and forth between the logo screen and lock screen and wont reset when i hold the power and home buttons down? please help, apple store is very far from my house

my ipad has never been dropped or overheated, but suddenly the screen went to the lock screen and then the logo screen and it keeps doing that. i tried resetting but its unresponsive. is this a common issue with ipad and whats wrong with it? i was checking the AccuWeather app when this happened and my battery was full if that helps. thanks

This has been a request from Apple users for many years. it's great you can now combine all emails into one, but some people want them kept separate and have separate icons on the main page. They could easily do this by having one "MAIL" account as white and another red. Or put MAIL 1 and MAIL 2. Or an actual label that the mail accounts are called on the ICONS!!

Not that it matters a lot, Android vs iPhone interface is largely a matter of personal preference and what you know... I'm not sure which one you're saying is not efficient...

I currently have two email accounts setup. My iPhone main page Mailbox settings reads:

I wish there an efficient way to move back and forth while in the "Inbox" between accounts. Also, Why does one gmail account show as "Gmail" and another as the actually address?
The names are based on the names you gave the accounts when you set them up.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap the account you want to re-name. Go to the "Description" field and put in what ever you want.
Second, there is no way to quickly choose a bunch of emails to delete. I have to manually go into each one and move it to the Trash folder.
If you tap the edit button in the upper right while in mail, you can select multiple items to move, delete or mark (flag).
I don't want any of the condescending remarks, that I've read here and in other forums. I'm honestly looking for a solution, which I think you are too! One thing I realized is that iPhone users in these forums are really defensive and quick to say "that's how it is, live with it, if you don't like it go away" Um...the only thing that tells me is you are pretty bitter and have kept telling yourself that, to force yourself to like your device. I prefer to express my issues, and find solutions. There is ALWAYS a solution...
I think what you will find is that many people here, myself included, tend to get a bit short with people who start off with attacks or whining about how something has been asked for for years and should be easy, rant about things that have already been beaten to death multiple times in the forums, talk about how much better Android or BB are at something (really... if it's that much better, why did they buy an iPhone to begin with?), etc., or continue to ask questions that could easily be answered with a simple search, or even just by looking back at the last dozen posts to the forum, half of which probably asked the EXACT SAME question.
I don't think any of us go out of our way to be rude or uncivil. That said, attacking the people who are attempting to help you is much more likely to generate a response of 'if you don't like it, go away', than it is to generate something that will be truly helpful.

The startup disk may need repairing ...
Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities
Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.
Click: Verify Disk (not Verify Disk Permissions)
If the disk needs repairing, restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you can access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery to repair the startup disk.

Switching BW authorization concept back and forth on the fly

After upgrading to BW 7.0, we are currently developing the BW authorizations from scratch with the new analytical authorizations. The system is currently set to the legacy RSR authorization objects. The idea is now to define two timeframes on our development system, one for the users working with old authorizations, and a second timeframe for testing the new analytical authorizations.
Can we switch the authorization concept back and forth on the fly, or are there any obstacles?

The latest version of BW is 7.3 which is also Analysis authorization concept like 7.0. So please clarify from the system status what level are you upgrading to.
Under 7.0, the RSR objects were still available i.e. you can switch the concept back and forth on the fly, it will trigger a transport. AFAIK - In 7.3 however there is no support for RSR anymore in fact even the object class is not visible and so does the switch for the concept and even RSR objects (Z-objects) do not show up in PFCG either.
So if you are moving to 7.0 switch is possible, 7.3 it is not. But in either case, you should be upgrading using a dual landscape with upgrade work being done & tested in separate boxes than daily production support landscape. It will come in handy at the time of testing also.

This started a week ago, I turned off my ipod, and it could not be turned back on again. So I held the sleep button and the home button simultaneously for ten seconds, and my iPod responded, the logo appeared. And my iPod worked perfectly for a week, when the same problem appeared last night, I tried to use the tip which I used last week. But a new problem appeared. The logo showed up, and when I tried to type in my password, the logo appear on the screen again, and this just goes back and forth. I can't type in my password. This is driving me crazy, Pleeeeaze, someone please help me!!!!

On my imac, All of a sudden I am unable to send original emails with any attachments. I can attach the file but when I try to send it, it won't send. Also, if I am emailing back and forth as it gets longer, it no longer transmits

Are any of your other applications going wonky, or is it just Logic?
I'm afraid I've never heard of this particular problem before, but if it were happening to me the first thing I would do is delete my "com.apple.logic.express.plist" file in Library>Preferences, then repair permissions in Disc Utility, and finally restart my computer. Then I would launch Logic and see if the problem has been corrected. It's amazing how much these two steps can accomplish.
If that doesn't resolve the issue I would launch Logic and go to Preferences>Audio Units Manager to see if all my plug-ins are properly validated.

Is there any way to keep a photo/text box where you placed it after it is checked as inline, I have text wrapping around many photos-Pages seem to move the photos to the middle of the page and that will not do for my project.

I have a book I want to sell as an EPUB when done...only one problem I got the message when doing so: " floating objects aren't supported in ePub format" So I found out by checking inline format that will work but it moves the text box and photo to where it want to go and not where I want it to be...this will not work so how do I make it stay where I place it and still save without the error of floating object issues.... In addition, when I let it go where it wants to go it lets me stay as an ePub and takes me to iTunes producer ( I have my books on iTunes made with iBooks Author) and is this right...I want to make it ready as an ePub not for Apple but for other eBook readers... I copied text & paisted it and then draged the 3 photos from the file...then clicked on the photo then clicked the inline boxon tool bar nexed to floating one and that is how I did it
I do not know what you mean "cut & paist" how do I get the photo in from my picter folder if I do not drag it to the page in Pages?
I went to my photo folder and copied a photo and paisted the photo on the top left part of the page and it went there but there was no text to the right of photo...I could crop the photo to what ever size but no text to the right of photo...
This is just too big of a mess of a program as it should be easier then this,,,I hav e 300 photos in this project and would have to re-paist them all...that is nuts...
I see the button to the right of inline and floating that has 6 [lace to have the photo but the text does not float around the photo...
If this is what your talking about this very little freedom in my page layout as I need it to let me place it where I need it to be and the wrap the text...

Is there a way to save individual artboards as separate AI files? - not that I can see

Via Save As or Save a Copy, it doesn't seem possible to choose to save an artboard out of a range as an AI file. You can't even select "Use Artboards/range" when you try to save as AI. It's grayed out.
The only way I know right now to 'extract' an artboard is to save as EPS or some other format if I want to save only one artboard out of a range and retain my layers.
This seems a little odd that you can't save as AI directly..

Probably collecting everything on an artboard into a new layer might give you the option to use a script to save layers to files.
But this is a feature request but no as of yet has suggested a way that this might work, at least I do not think so.

My iphone 4 and my girlfriends seem to be sharing messages. The display shows one person typing but it is actually going back and forth between devices. Any ideas?

We share and icloud and itunes account. But we have seperate carriers and phone numbers obviously. She sends me a mesage and it comes through on my ipad. I send her a message and it shows up on her phone as coming from her own number (no name is displayed, just the phone number). And the entire stream shows on her phone on the right hand side in blue as if she was doing all the typing.
Then a conversation I was having with another contact showed up on her phone displayed as if she was discussing. It was not a joint message but this contact is also one of her contacts. And the name displayed at the top was the other contact. She could join in the conversation too but her messages showed as mine. The other contact saw all messages but they showed as coming from my email address not imessage. I recently did the firm ware upgrade but she did not. Her phone says there is an error when trying to locate it.
Any messages sent to other contacts by her are only showing to the other contacts and not to me. And they are displayed properly.
It only started today and this has never happened before. We have both power cycled a couple times and wiped out all messages to start fresh as well. Nothing has worked so far.
Any ideas??

Note that if you are sharing the same AppleID when you activated iMessage the very first time, then you are literally sharing the same iMessage account. The primary account ID for iMessage is the AppleID used to verify the service the first time - then it associates phone numbers and email addresses as aliases to that account.
One of you needs to create a new AppleID and use it JUST for iMessage, so you each have a separate and unique iMessage account to use. So you can continue to share an AppleID for iTunes and iCloud and all your purchased content, just use different AppleIDs for iMessage.
If you need another email for AppleIDs (an AppleID is literally just an email address) just grab a gmail account to use. In iMessage, tap on the AppleID and log off, then log back in with the new AppleID and it will activate a new iMessage account using that AppleID.

Prior to updating the iphone 5 to ios.7, i used to be able to go to Notes and scroll through all listings until I found what I wanted. Now i am only able to view one page at a time and have to back and forth between the main menu and each page. Help?

Now, under the "improvements" I have to open each page, one at a time, until I find the desired category. This strikes me as a big step backword. Any solutions in the community?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
Also consider deleting and reinstalling the Mail Account in question.

Is there any way to download firefox onto a zip drive or CD so that I can transfer it onto a laptop that can't open internet any other way?

I can't open internet explorer on my computer for whatever reason and have given up trying various scans to figure out the problem. I'd like to download firefox as an alternate internet program, but obviously, can't get online to download it. Is there anyway to download it onto a zip drive from another computer, and then transfer it to my faulty laptop?

Yes. You can download the Firefox installer and copy the file to an USB stick or other medium and install Firefox from that drive.
