Is there a way to load music to my ipod from purchases from Realplayer, etc

Hi.
Let me start off by saying I am a computer idiot. It took me 20 minutes to figure out how/where to post my question.
I apologize if I ended up posting in the wrong place and I apologize in advance for my babble.
Here is my question(s).
I have a Ipod60.
I have managed to upload songs that I had accummulated over the years that are in my music library.
Unfortuantely, I seem to be having a problem with 3 things.
1) is a audio clip my cousin sent me. The clip is in .wav.
I can add it to my liabray. I can play it on the computer when in Itunes. I can see it on my ipod. HOWEVER, when I try to play the song on my ipod, the title appears on the screen but it immediately jumps to the next song. How do I get it to play on the ipod?
2) I purchase a song from the Realplayer store because I couldnt find the song on Itunes. They said that it was compatible with my Ipod. Unfortunatley, Itunes will not let me add or import the song.
What am I doing wrong?
3)I have one song that is a mp3 extension that will not let me upload it to the ipod. Again, I can add it to my library, but it will not save onto the ipod.
I tried to look at the various "help" sections. They say something about programing the darn thing to manual additions/updates but that doesnt seem to work.
Am I doing something wrong?
If anyone has any suggestions or knows of instructions that are in simple /"for dummies" terminology, I would greatly appreciate it.
I also have a question about why I can't upload varios videos that I have...but that is another battle.
Thanks in advance and once again, I apologize if I am posting in the wrong place or babbled.
  Windows XP

Once again, thank you both for taking the time to answer.
Camoracer - thank you for the suggestions on the transfer programs. I will look into them, once my 1 semi working brain cells stops hurting from this little technical puzzle.
I quickly check Videora out and it seems to be able to convert other formats TO IPOD. It doesnt seem to go the other way. Are there others that allow for that or is it impossible to copy IPOD "stuff" into other formats?
Is there a "silver bullet" of a program that works on most types video & audio (.mp3, m4p, mp4, avi, .flv, .mov. etc) ?
ED2345 - thank you for trying to make me feel better by saying that "it is a common mistake". It doesnt make me feel as stupid as I feared...but I did warn you that I am a moron when it comes to this stuff. I just thought that by changing the extension from (for example) .mp3 to .avi or .wmv was enough....heck most of the time it seems to work.
Anyway, I tried to do what you suggested. But before I click and change anything on my settings I want to make sure I THINK I am doing what you said.
I go into Itunes and get into Importing and I see the following
ON CD INSERT: ask to import CD
IMPORT USING: AAC ENCODER
SETTING: HIGH QUALITY (128 kbps)
(then in a little box under it is says:DETAILS
64 kbps (mono)128 kbps(stereo)optimized for MMX/SSE2
then under that box it has a few bullit points (* = lines that are "checked off" & activated:
* Play songs while inporting or converting
* automatically retrieve CD track names from internet
* create file names with track numbers
and
use error correction when reading audio cd's
Now
all that said, where to I make sure the preference is set to mp3 at 160 kb/s.??
Do I change to MP3 in the IMPORT USER by clicking on the drop down and changing to MP3 ENCODER?
Do I change the 160kbs by clicking on settings => custom=> and then change the STERO BIT RATE??
Knowing me, I will click on the wrong thing and cause my computer to self destruct.
Once again, thank you both for your time.

  • Is there a way to get music onto my ipod from a CD that I lost after I put the songs onto iTunes, but then had to completely erase everyting on my computer?

Yeah, so this is what happened. I had an old iPod nano, and then my computer crashed and deleted eveything. Then, I got a new iPod, and I want to put songs that I had on a CD that I already had on iTunes before my computer crashed onto my new iPod, but I lost the CD. Is there a way for me to find those songs??? Kinda impossible, but is there genius out there that can help me out? Thanks.

The songs will only be where you put them.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.  Your music should be there.

  • Is there any way to load music from my computer not purchased from itunes to my iPad?

Is there a way to load music onto my iPad that I did not purchase from iTunes?  I have loaded songs from CDs I purchased onto my computer and want to load them in my iPad.  Is this possible and how is it done?

Is there a way to load music onto my iPad that I did not purchase from iTunes?
    yes.
    how is it done?
the easiest way is to create a playlist with the tunes you want on the iPad and sync that playlist to it.

  • I have an ipad and ipod nano. the laptop i used to load music to nano died, is there a way to load music purchased from itunes on the ipad to the nano?

my laptop died, is there a way to tranfer music purchased in ITunes from an ipad air to an ipod nano?

The only way to sync to a nano is to use an iTunes account on a computer.
When or if you get a replacement computer you can retrieve all of your purchased music (from iTunes) to sync to your nano

  • Is there any way to load music onto my iPad without going to the computer and iTunes?

    Hi,
My iPad is sync's with iTunes over WiFi. Is there any way of pulling songs/albums down to the iPad from my iTunes music collection (not iTunes purchases)?
Or am I forced to have to drive this from a seat in front of iTunes directly?
    Thanks
    Phil

The sync manually is fine. I don't use iTunes match. I just want to drive the selection of songs and the sync from the ipad rather than from the computer. There are 5 iPads in the home owned by different family members with different music tastes. It would be good if they could make the selections themselves.
The goal is to have the songs synchronised with the iPad so that they are available away from the home and off of a network.
    Cheers

  • Is There a Way to Load Photos onto an iPod Nano

I'm a Windows user who bought an iPod Nano for Music and Photos. Since there is no iPhoto for Windows, and maybe never will, is there another way to do it? If I knew the file format for photos maybe I could find a way to load them. Otherwise, I wasted my money buying a iPod Nano. My huge company is PC committed. We have no Apple computers. I don't see this type of PC community using Apples and using work PCs just to get photos. That's to much to keep up with. I'm already having problems keeping up with Unix, Linux, Windows plus mainframe O/S's.
Maybe someone will invent a PcPod for Windows that fits in my ear.

I think most Apple users will ignore your question. First of all, I suggest you read the documentation. If you choose not to; rely on that all powerful two button mouse (Apple users are only now beginning to recognize the advantages of this type of device; and Intel chips).
    right click on the iPod nano icon in iTunes;
    select iPod options;
    click the photo tab;
    check the appropriate box;
    That should work.

  • Is there a way of adding music to an Iphone from a computer without deleting the music already on there?

I have music on my iphone that is not in my computer's Itunes library and visa versa, i would like to download a specific group of songs from my computer's itunes library to my Iphone's. The problem is I do not want to go through the entire process of syncing my entire library again and I fear that if do the songs that i have on the iphone will be deleated. is there a way this can be solved, maybe through icloud or something?

The home page '''''about:home''''' is built in to Firefox and should/would not be affected.
Though it should/would not affect '''''about:home''''', there is an entry for Mozilla on their list, if you are using some page at mozilla as your home page. On my installation that item on their list is shown as disabled; I do not recall disabling that item myself, therefore it could be their default (disabled) and they know that item is not functioning properly on their list.
You may be correct in that there could be a conflict with another add-on. The only way to determine that is to experiment by installing '''''HTTPS Everywhere''''', disabling/enabling a few extensions (or plugins), restart Firefox and repeat until you find the conflicting item.

The only other thing that comes to mind is a possible corruption of '''''HTTPS Everywhere''''' during download/installation.
Post back once you locate a solution yourself, if it is a conflict with another add-on, or once you hear back from Electronic Frontier Foundation with a solution from them.

  • HT201272 is there a way to get music on my ipod to my i tunes account?

I had my music in itunes lost but my ipod has all the music is ther a way to transfer my music back from ipod to my itunes account ?

    1. if you have a backup that will be very easy
    2. if not, try this:
    Download past purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
    3. contact Apple iTunes Store to try and restore all your past purchases, remember everything is "one-time" download only, there is no guarantee that you can restore everything...make it a habit to backup everything
    good luck!

  • Is there any way to get music that wasn't from iTunes in/off of the iCloud?

I backed up everything on my 4th gen iPod touch to the iCloud and am transferring it all over to the 5th gen iPod touch I just got but not all the apps and music that were on the old iPod are switching over.  Is there a way to correct this?  I have a few hundred songs that aren't coming over and they aren't on iTunes.

Music is not included in the backup because it is assumed to be in your iTunes library.  If you have music on your old iPod that was not purchased from the iTunes store, and is not in your iTunes library, the only way to transfer it would be to purchase and use 3rd party software such as Touch Copy or PhoneView (Mac only) to extract it to your PC.  Once extracted, it can be imported to your iTunes library and synced to your new iPod.
Otherwise you would have to re-import the music to iTunes from the original source CDs.

  • Best way to load music on the Ipod?

what is the best way to do this?

That really depends on the type of iPod you have and the size of the library. I prefer having iTunes do the work so I prefer to sync things automatically. Since my library is smaller than the iPod I use the option "Sync Music - All songs and playlists".
When your iPod is smaller than your iTunes library you can still sync automatically using the setting 'Sync Music - Selected playlists' which I think is a better way to update an iPod that is smaller than the iTunes library. Syncing selected playlists is just like syncing your whole library only on a smaller scale and more "selectively". When your iPod is is set to sync selected playlists it automatically picks up any changes you made to that playlist in iTunes since you last connected. Anything you added to the playlist will be added to the iPod, anything you deleted from it will be deleted from the iPod. In other words the iTunes playlist and the iPod are kept "in sync".
The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preference tabs.
Connect your iPod to your computer and when it appears in the Source list click on it to show the preference tabs in the main pane. Choose one of the following options and click "Apply".
    1) Sync Music - All songs and Playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method. You'll find this in the Music Tab.
    2) Sync Music - Selected playlists. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer. You'll find this in the Music Tab.
    3) Manually manage music and videos. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod. You'll find this in the Summary Tab.

  • Is there a way for me to send an ipod from canada to the USA online?

does anyone know if i can end an ipod from canada online to usa online? i mean can i send someone in the usa a ipod from canada online?

If you buy from Amazon or MacMall or other online store, you may be able to have it shipped to wherever you want. Amazon gives you the option of shipping to an address other that your own. I ordered my Touch 5 from MacMall and there were no shipping charges because of the price ($284.99 for the 32GB model). You may have to pay shipping charges to Canada.

  • Is there a way of getting music stored on iPod into iTunes library?

Recently my harddrive broke completely and there's no way of getting back my files. I have some files saved but not all!
My iTunes library has also gone missing due to the fact my computer had to be wiped. The only files I have are the songs currently on my iPod which was last synced about 4 months ago.
I'd like to reconnect my iPod so that the files on there can be restored on my iTunes account and I can continue using them as normal.
I'd also like to sync my new iPhone to the same iTunes library (if it works), but this has a different Apple account. This part is not as important as trying to get my music back. I had an extensive library and I'm dying to put new additions on, but I need my previous music back first!
If there is anything I can do, please let me know. Thank you so much!

  • Is there a way to put music on an ipod without itunes

Hello, i got a new ipod for christmas and i have music on my laptop but its not on itunes. i wanted to know if i could still get the music, videos, and pictures on it?

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The exception is itunes purchases.  File>Transfer Purchases
Everything on your ipod should also be on your computer and included in your regular backup of your computer.
