Is there a way to maintain the zoomed in look as my final picture?

is there a way to maintain the zoomed in look as my final picture when I'm editing in
Iphoto?

I have no idea what you are thinking but zooming lets you view a portion of a photo closer. Cropping let's you're move part of a photo leaving only the uncropped portion  if you could save (which you can not do in iPhoto) that is exactly what you would get and exactly what would be phased to any other program for further editing
cropping is the only way

If you need to adjust the font size on websites then look at:

  • Is there any way to control the zoom factor so that when my SSIS Package is opened, it is entirely visible within Visual Studio?

I have formatted my SSIS Package beautifully, if I do say so myself, so that all my tasks are visible at 50% zoom. However, when I close my project and then re-open it in Visual Studio, it defaults back to 100%...YUK!
I did find this post which didn't seem to work...even to the point that no where within my xml could I even find the "PersistedZoom" Parameter. I even tried manually adding it, I couldn't find the exact syntax on it, and that didn't even work.
    1. In BIDS (Visual Studio) first close all open SSIS packages / xml files to avoid confusion ...
    2. Right click on the SSIS package and select the "View Code" menu item. (to open the actual xml)
    3. Search for all instances of "PersistedZoom" and change the value directly to the right of it to 100 (mine
    was 80 or 90 ...)
    4. Now save and close the XML file.
    5. Now open the SSIS package in the designer, you will notice that it is still scrolled to the bottom right!
    6. Now make any small change (I scrolled to the top-left and just slightly moved a task)
    7. Now save and close the designer
    8. Re-open the SSIS package in the designer! and what do you know it does not start scrolled down to the bottom right anymore!
Let me know if you still have issues - but as I said I followed this same process on all my problem packages and they ALL now open correctly.
I noticed that after doing all this the PersistedZoom property disappeared from the xml, which leads me to believe that if I zoom in and out of my packages again it will probably get stuck by opening to the bottom right again ...
Can anyone help me out with this?
Thanks for your review and am hopeful for a reply.

There is no way to preserve view preferences.Just remember or annotate the zoom % used in the package.
You may want to open an MS Connect item asking to add such a feature.
I can tell you it may not be implemented because a package may be opened on different size monitors.

  • Is there a way to remove the extended phot info attached to a picture in iphoto?

    Hi Fiona,
Okay, the 4th parameter is the issue.
    There are four options:
0 = OK (will not have an 'x')
1 = OK, Cancel (will have an 'x')
2 = Yes, No (will not have an 'x')
3 = Yes, No, Cancel (will have an 'x')
Where you do not include a cancel button (0 or 2) then there wont be an 'x':
However where you do include a cancel button (1 or 3) then there will be an 'x':
There wont be a workaround here (afaik), as the messagebox is driven by the OS, eg is automatically appears different on a Mac verses a Windows machine.
    Good luck,
    Niall

  • Is there any way to maintain the folder structure using the audio converter

    hi, please, i need help
I want to convert some 24 bit wav files into 24 bit Apple Lossless files.
dBpoweramp converter doesn't allow 24 bit files for Apple Lossless
iTunes doesn't keep the folder structure, is there any option to change that?
    thanks

When iTunes does a format conversion, it stores the new file in an Album folder within an Artist folder. It does not matter where the original file is. It does not provide any other option.

  • Is there a way to change the pinch-to-zoom feature?

Is there a way to change the behavior of pinch-to-zoom in Safari 5.1.4 on Lion?  It seems to have adopted the iOS zoom (where it's a zoom into an area on the page) and I would prefer that it emulated a Command-+ type of page zoom.  When using pinch-to-zoom in a site like Gmail or Google Reader, the content ends up requiring horizontal scrolling if you pinch-to-zoom... while Command-+ increases the size of everything but keeps it within a single screen.
Can this be done?  Is there the equivalent of the about:config page from Firefox?
Apple... can you fix this (or offer an option to determine how pinch-to-zoom works in Safari)?!?!
    Thanks!
    - John

    Thanks for your response.
I have searched for a solution to change the order of my tags and haven't found it.
I add multiple tags to my emails and the color at a glance means something to me - if I add an earlier, more up the priority ladder it shows that color instead of the one that I want. I'm rambling but the fact remains that I would like to be able to change the tag priority.
    Have a great one!

  • Is there a way to increase the icon size (and the text below) without using zoom?  I am trying to help out someone who has moderate visual impairment that does not want to use zoom just to see the icons and their labels.

Is there a way to increase the icon size (and the text below) without using zoom in iOS 7?  I am trying to help out someone who has moderate visual impairment that does not want to use zoom just to see the icons and their labels.

    Hello Apple.
It seems you have gone to great lengths to improve accessibility in many areas of the iPad. Why was this obvious problem with icon text size missed?  (It's not with the Mac.). And for so long too.
Do you employ people with actual accessibility problems to help you do UI design?
I think too, that some buttons are too close for people who might have motor control problems.
I love my iPad but I fear as I age, the iPad might not keep up with me.

  • I'm on FCPX 10.1.1.  Is there a way to change the speed of a keyframe effect?  I have still images zooming onto the storyline, but I can't find any way to speed up or slow down the zoom time.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to change the speed of a keyframe zoom effect on still photos?  Clip duration doesn't seem to change the zoom speed at all.  Any help would be greatly appreciated

Open the video animation (Control-v). In transform>All click and drag the X and Y keyframes (which should be together) – left to speed up the scale change and right to slow it down . It may take a little practice to get this to work (I seldom get it right the first try).
You could do this individually for each clip, or you wanted to adjust multiple clips you can copy and paste attributes to your other other clips.

Try the Firefox SafeMode. <br />
    ''A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.'' <br />
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)''
    # You can open the Firefox 4/5/6/7 SafeMode by holding the '''Shft''' key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    # Or use the Help menu item, click on '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' while Firefox is running. <br />
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.''
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

  • Is there a way to adjust the settings on launchpad so that when I swipe into it all the open apps/pages are fully separated (like in exposé) so that I can fully view all of them simultaneously?

    Hi Apple community,
This is my first go at this so be kind,
My question concerns launchpad. Coming from Snow Leopard I had been using spaces. I like to keep certain bundles of programs on separate desktops, for example all word processing related tasks in one place. I have set up the equivalent on Yosemite.
My problem is concerns the loss of exposé. Now I know when you swipe into launch pad you get a very similar effect but the issue I am having concerns the "zoom out" effect when you swipe into launchpad. With exposé all open apps/pages etc would be fully exposed - in my case several (sometimes as many as 9 word documents). What I am running into is when I do this in / into launch pad the "pile" of docs is exposed but they are still overlapping so I can't get a good look at which is which and visually identify where I want to navigate to.
My question is this; Is there a way to adjust the settings on launchpad so that when I swipe into it all the open apps/pages are fully separated (like in exposé) so that I can fully view all of them simultaneously? If so, instructions on how to do so would be greatly appreciated. Any alternative suggestions to doing this outside of launchpad are also welcome. If there is an exposé app for example, I would be quite willing to go that route.
My main concern is being able to quickly (ie a touchpad gesture) expand all the open pages so I can bounce between them.
Much thanks from a loyal Apple friend.

    Hey Eric,
Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.
Again, thanks for trying, it is appreciated.

  • Is there a way to put the same event on multiple icloud calendars?

Is there a way to put the same calendar entry on multiple calendars?  I have five children and most of them use their iTouch to keep there calendar.   My calendar is on icloud and I'd love it if they could see only their events but I need to see all of them.   Many of the events affect more than one child.

As follow up to the above question,  I am the person putting items on the calendars.  I am not just trying to see calendars that they are maintaining.

  • Is there a way to change the font color for emailing and the signature?

Is there a way to change the font color with email signature on the iPhone and iPad?
I changed the color in Word on my laptop, emailed and copied to my signature, but it converts it back to black........

Looks like you didn't get a reply on your post, but it is still a problem.  Font size is supposedly changeable via "Accessibility" in Settings, but it doesn't work.  You can turn on "Zoom".

  • Is there any way to change the font size of the text in the Finder Sidebar?

This may sound like a bit of a dorky question but here goes nothing...
I am rather near-sighted and in need of new glasses but I am stuck in a holding pattern until I can get a referral to see my eye doctor. Anyway... I have found myself using the Zoom features far more often and increasing the font size in the Finder for the Item Names & Info.
The problem that I am facing now, is that the font size of the text in the sidebar is FAR SMALLER than the font size of the text of the actual file names & info.
+*IS THERE ANY WAY TO INCREASE THE FONT SIZE OF THE TEXT IN THE SIDEBAR??*+
So far I have looked in:
    *The Finder Preferences
    *The Desktop Preference Pane
    *The Appearance Preference Pane
*The Seeing Tab of the Universal Access Preference Pane
And to add to my frustration I have also searched the Mac OS X Help AND all of the posts in this thread (back to 1/1/09) that had the word "sidebar" mentioned in them!!
+*DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS?? OR IS THIS ONE AREA THAT I AM OUT OF LUCK BECAUSE APPLE DIDN'T FORESEE THIS ISSUE??*+
Usually, Apple is really very good about foreseeing any possible trouble (ESPECIALLY when it comes to the area of Accessibility for people w/ disabilities!!)
I do hope that SOMEBODY can help me on this one!!
Also, I noticed that the size of the text that is on the Toolbar is also the same ITSY BITSY font size as the text on the sidebar, but I am guessing that there is next to nothing that can be done about that!!
    Thanks a Million!!

Hi! The only way I know of is changing the screen resolution. Tom

  • Is there a way to swap the Fn key and left Ctrl key

Is there a way to swap the functions of Fn key and left Ctrl key on the keyboard. I'm used to other keyboards where the keys are switched and I keep pressing Fn when I want to press Ctrl.  I figure I'll get used to it eventually, but when I use the laptop in a docking station with a regular keyboard the control key is in one spot and undocked with the Lenovo keyboard the function key is there instead, which makes it hard to get used to.
If not is there a way to disable the Fn + Space bar function that changes the screen resolution. The programs I use use control + space heavily and my screen resolution keeps changing when I don't want it to.
It's a small thing I know, but very maddening.

Thanks, I took the survey. It's interesting the questions on there were asking about location of keys like page up and page down. I find the position of those keys are not that important to me because I don't use them that much and don't seem to mind looking at the keyboard to find them. Also they are almost always in different spots depending on whether you are on a desktop or laptop keyboard so I guess I'm used to unconsciously switching depending on which keyboard I'm on.
But the left control key is one of the most heavily used, at least by developers like me (control+c to copy, control+v to paste, and control+space for code assist, shift + control + f to format code, shift + control + r to find resources, etc...). I have to hit that Ctrl button 1000 times a day. And the key is in the bottom far left corner on every keyboard (desk top and laptop) I've ever seen until now. Having to remember to look down at the keyboard to find the key is proving difficult and I think is actually hurting my productivity. Especially control+space (when you are expecting a popup to automatically complete the line of code you're working on and instead the screen blinks, resizes and your whole editor loses focus it really breaks your flow of thought, so thanks a million for helping me turn off the silly screen zoom feature).
Hopefully I'll get used to it like with the other keys like page up and page down although I've had the laptop for two weeks and it's proving difficult. If I had know that Thinkpads have this layout and how maddening it would be to get used to it I probably wouldn't have bought it, even though everything else about it is great. It's amazing how such a small thing can become such an irritant.
Well thanks again, and if anybody from Lenovo engineering is reading this post, my vote is for some bios setting on the T61P that swaps the functions of Fn and Left control key. It would save me a lot of grief anyway.

is there really no fix for this?
It would depend on your definition of "Fix"
Your iPod touch running OS 4.2 has a ZOOM feature which will enable you to see the screen more clearly.
To turn Zoom on or off got to:
Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and tap the Zoom On/Off switch.
    _To Zoom in or out_:
Double-tap the screen with three fingers. By default, the screen is magnified 200 percent. If you manually change the magnification (by using the tap-and-drag gesture, described below), iPod touch automatically returns to that magnification when you zoom in by double-tapping with three fingers.
Increase magnification: With three fingers, tap and drag toward the top of the screen (to increase magnification) or toward the bottom of the screen (to decrease magnification). The tap-and-drag gesture is similar to a double-tap, except you don’t lift your fingers on the second tap—instead, drag your fingers on the screen. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger.
    _Move around the screen_:
When zoomed in, drag or flick the screen with three fingers. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger so that you can see more of the screen. Hold a single finger near the edge of the display to pan to that side of the screen image. Move your finger closer to the edge to pan more quickly. When you open a new screen, Zoom always goes to the top-middle of the screen.
    _Large Text_:
Large Text lets you make the text larger in alerts, and in Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and Notes. You can choose 20-point, 24-point, 32-point, 40-point, 48-point, or 56-point text.
Set the text size: In Settings, choose General > Accessibility, tap Large Text, then tap the text size you want.
I hope this has helped a little - other than this option I think it pretty much is what it is.
BTW - This information can be found on page 208 of the iPod Touch iOS 4.2 Users Guide.
    Best wishes..
    Ricky
