Is there a way to make a folder of apps that are locked to a password

Hello,
I have a 4 year old that seems to be addicted to video games. I would like to make a folder of all the video game apps that is locked so that we can use them as a reward in a control kind of way. Right now he is able to sniff out the ipad anywhere we hide it. We would be happy to let him use the educational games but just want to lock up the more addicting games.

Sorry, but there is no way to lock specific apps, not unless the app itself has a password feature, something I've not seen in any games. If don't want your child playing those games, your only option is to remove them from the iPad and set the Restrictions to disallow installing of any other apps or making in-app purchases.

Bridge will do the job. View > Sort > ByType. Then you can choose a group of one type and put the files in a separate folder.

The iPod nano has a community of its own, which might be better suited to this question.

Scroll through the list of apps that your purchased, and if you remember the apps that you delete, the search will be a lot easier.
If you don't have iOS 5, you can update your iPhone and since you have an iPhone 4, you can only go up to iOS 6.1.3

Sure, pen & paper will work, but if it's in a wishlist, you just click on the arrow and don't have to type things all over again.

To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

Is there a way to make rotated Buttons and ones that overlap??

currently, im working on a dvd menu, and i want it to look like a stack of Polaroids,
so i made the menu in photoshop with all the codes, like (+)(%) ect.
though now i want the buttons to be overlapping and all tilted to a random direction,
like a real stack of polaroids, i've tried making a "straight" menu and then rotating the buttons, but it didn't work.
is there a way that you can rotate buttons and have the thumbnail footage also be rotated?
and is it possible to have buttons that overlap at some point?
(note that i want the Animated thumbnails)

though i know it might be possible by making them all by manually in AfterEffects,
by using the original footage with lots of masks to make thumbnail movies,
but im not looking for such a tedious job, also im not very skilled in AfterEffects

In DVD-Video, buttons cannot overlap, and their hit area will always be a rectangle...even if the contents of the button are rotated, it will result only in the rectangle becoming larger, to fit the rotated graphics.
Regarding button thumbnail layers, they show similar behavior - they will always render out as a rectangle.
If you don't use thumbnail layers (try a replacement layer), you should be able to rotate the button without the replacement layer getting re-adjusted. But note replacement layers don't accept video. If you want video in the buttons, you'll have to do all the work in After Effects.
But remember - your buttons cannot overlap without introducing button highlighting problems.
A better solution is to not make these buttons at all, but a regular menu layer or video background layer. And then you can create custom highlight layers in Photoshop, again making sure your buttons don't overlap. This would be a lot of work.

I wish to purchase an app that is free for a limited time but it is over 20mb. There is no wifi here at work and I cannot purchase as a gift, as I normally do with discounted apps to lock in the low price, because it is free. No. You just have to be careful not to delete the version of the apps are are only compatble with iPad 1. since yu can't redownload them.

We share files from a Mac os x server, leopard version 10.6.8, Local. We are using mac and windows users on that server. We would like a specific users to have access to the server. For now, all people connected on our network have access to the mac os x server.

What you need to do is, in Server Admin, navigate to your Share Points and set ACE's in the Access Control List.

A Tip on the side:
in your specific case the fastest action would be to highlight the gap in between your clips and ripple delete.
Lift and extract, delete, and ripple-delete clips | Adobe Premiere Pro CC tutorials
(the tutorial shows the ripple delete - function with a clip segment, but it works the same way with gaps.
