Is there a way to match a voice?

Hi
if i record my voice and say for example the work "test"
and record in another file my voice where i say "red"
is there a way to use audition cc to analize the 2 files and tell me if it's the same person voices?

There is software available that will help with this, but Audition isn't really suited to it - and it's complicated, to say the least; the analyses tend to be specialised, and require several different software tools. And they are also not conclusive, in many instances. if you want some sort of an idea of the sort of software you have to use, then have a look here.
But don't get fooled by these detective series - their 'instant' results are invariably a complete work of fiction, just like the rest of their stories.

Not directly on the phone, no. You'll need third-party software, like this to extract it from your phone:

Not really. Other software would have to be installed on the device to locate it. That's what Find My iPhone is for (and it's free).

  • Is there a way to restore deleted voice overs in iMovie 11?

I recorded something through iMovie 11 once and then accidentally deleted it. It's no longer in my project. Is there a way to somehow retrieve this audio file? Does a voice over file even exist on the mac, or does it only exist on the project screen, something that can be gone for good if you press "delete?" If an actual file does exist, where can I find it on the mac? Spotlight won't help.

You need to select the Blue Yeti as your input device.
First go to System Preferences/Sound and click on Input Device. Make sure your Blue Yeti is in the list and selected. Make sure the red light is on on your Blue Yeti. After a period of unuse, it may turn itself off.
Then, in iMovie, start your Voiceover session by pressing the Microphone on the middle toolbar. You will get a screen like this where you can choose the Blue Yeti.
    Then follow the instructions here.

After you have recorded your voiceover, you can select the Voiceover Track and make additional adjustments in the Audio Inspector. For example you can use the Graphic Equalizer.
Having said all that, Garageband is a great tool if you need even more adjustments. You can export your movie to the Media Browser and do this in GarageBand, or, you can record a voice track in Garageband, render it as AIFF, and use it in IMovie.

  • Is there a way to match all columns in a table?

    Oracle 11.1.0.7:
Is there any way to say match all the columns of Table A with Table B? For eg:
    Table A
    id
    name
    Table B
    id
    name
Is there a way to say match all the columns with similar column in other in a select instead of doing "where A.id = B.id and A.name = b.name"? I am trying to write a compare script to test that replication is indeed doing the right thing.

While I was doing the comparision I found that if column x in Table A has "null" and same column x in table B has "null" and if I do "where A.x = B.x" then it doesn't return the row. I am not sure why. Does "minus" work the same way? That's because NULL will never equal any value (including NULL) and NULL will never not equal any value (including NULL). That is
NULL = 1 is unknown (which maps to false)
    NULL = NULL is unknown
    NULL != 1 is unknown
    NULL != NULL is unknown
If you want to compare columns that may have NULL values, you need to use IS NULL and IS NOT NULL or use the NVL function to map NULL values to a non-NULL but impossible value, i.e.
    WHERE (a.x = b.x OR
            (a.x is null and b.x is null))or
    WHERE nvl(a.x,-17) = nvl(b.x,-17)assuming that -17 is not a valid value for either a.x or b.x

  • Is there a way to unify multiple Voice ISDN-BRI to single group?

I'm just wondering is there a way to unify multiple BRI interfaces in signle than to include it in the dial-peer for easier call routing.
    Thanks in advance

    Absolutely, trunk-groups:
    int bri x/y
    trunk-group telco
    dial-peer voice 100 pots
    destination-pattern ...
    trunkgroup telco
Then, under "trunk group telco" you can optionally configure translation-profiles, hunt schemes and other things. "show trunk group" will give you the status of all the circuits in there.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

  • Is there a way to  match property or dimension has multiple values?

I have Endeca records indexed from database. Each record will have:
ID, Name, CategoryID, CategoryName.... Each record may belong to multiple category. So after reindex, the record looks like the following:
    ID:0001
    Name: Name 1
    CategoryID:1
    CategoryID:2
    CategoryName: Cat Name 2
    CategoryName: Cat Name 1
My question is "is there a way I can know categoryID:1 is matching categoryName: Cat Name 1, and categoryID:2 is matching categoryName: Cat Name 2"?

    Hi,
There are a couple of ways to accomplish this that I've used. There may be others that I have not seen or considered.
First is to create records with this category information and use RRN to combine the two. However, RRN may have licensing issues.
So, you would have something like the book example:
    BookName: Freakonomics
    AuthorIds: 1, 2
    RecordType: Book
    AuthorId: 1
    AuthorName: Stephen Dubner
    RecordType: Author
    AuthorId: 2
    AuthorName: Steven Levitt
    RecordType: Author
Then it's a standard RRN exercise to combine the books and authors at query time.
The second approach is to create what I call aggregated or complex properties where you combine the subfields that are associated.
    Name: abc
    Category_Combined: CatId1<DELIM>CatName1
    Category_Combined: CatId2<DELIM>CatName2
Your app code would have to split out the Category_Combined property into the sub-fields for display.
Now, if you don't want to have CatId a searchable field, put a non-searchable character in front of it and configure it in your Search Characters. For example, choose some ASCII code that cannot be entered directly from a keyboard. Thus your property becomes:
    Category_Combined: <FunkyChar>CatId1<DELIM>CatName1
This adds complexity to your pipeline code in that it has to create the concatenated fields and on your app code for searching, splitting, etc. But it works.

  • Is there a way to hear the voice to the speakers with a microphone plugged in the combo jack?

I have do frequent web conferencing with couple of people with me and one person on the other side. Each one of us takes turn to speak but we ALL  need to hear what the other person  on the other side is saying.
For better voice quality, it is best that the speaker at our end use a microphone but we all hear the voices of the remote person through the loud speakers or any external speaker
however, given that there is a combo jack in ThinkPad, as soon as I plug a microphone in, we are not able to hear the sound of the remote person through the laptop loudspeakers.
Is there any configuration or any software that could make this possible?

It's more of a hardware question than a Mac/PC/Audition question.  Specialist sound interfaces (usually USB devices these days) have a feature called direct monitoring which lets you do exactly this.  It's incredibly useful for all sorts of multitrack applications (including yours)--in fact, I'd call it essential for any serious audio work.
However, very few of the basic built in interfaces now included with computers allow this--they're more for playing games or watching films than serious recording.
I can't answer for the Mac specifically (still a PC person) but an external interface will solve your problem and improve your recording quality at the same time.
