Is there a way to merge an old Apple ID (itunes) with a new one?

Apparently I have two and my old AppleID/itunes is maxed out on the limited 5 computers per computer. I want all of my music in one place, help?

No, but if all 5 computers are no longer available and/or aren't being used, you can de-authorize the existing 5 computers at once followed by re-authorizing the computers you are using.

  • How do I merge my old apple ID account with my new one?

My old Apple ID was linked to a very old email account that I no longer have access to. How can I get all of the music that was purchased using that account to merge into my new Apple ID account using my new email address? Thanks

  • Use old apple base stations with a new one

Can I use an Apple extreme base station (A1034) with Apple express base station to use feaures like AirPlay and extend WiFi coverage?
Express station would be the main base then (A1034) would extend its coverage and use features.  Would this work or is it too old?

    Thanks for the info.
You are going to run into some problems.
The Mac(s) running Mavericks cannot be used to set up or configure the older AirPort Extreme.
But, even if they could, there is no setting on the older AirPort Extreme to "extend a wireless network".
If you could permanently connect the older AirPort Extreme to the AirPort Express using an Ethernet cable, you would have some limited use, but you would need to have a Mac running Leopard, or Snow Leopard, or a PC to be able to set up the old AirPort.

No, all content (music, books, movies and apps) bought from iTunes and App Stores using one Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.

My Laptop crashed. I had a full backup on Carbonite so the iTunes folder is there and downloadable.  Is there any way just to import that and have iTunes on my new computer (Windows 7) recognize it?

Nothing gets imported.  Simply restore the ENTIRE iTunes folder to the new/restored computer.
Download and install iTunes from Apple's website.
The first time iTunes is launched, assuming the ENTIRE iTunes folder is restored to the correct location, it will launch and be exactly as it was prior to the comptuer issues.  If for some reason this does not work, close iTunes, hold the SHIFT key while launching iTunes and a prompt will appear to choose or create a new iTunes library.  At this point simply point iTunes to the correct location for the existing iTunes library.

  • In iClouds...How do i change the old Apple ID email to the new one I created??

In iClouds...How do i change the old Apple ID email to the new one I created with

    Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID.  If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.)  Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID).  Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless using iCloud Photo Library).  When finished goThen go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

Contact Apple, either through the link in that article or by phoning them. Alternatively, just create a new Apple ID; previous iTunes Store purchases won't be transferred to it.

  • Is there a way to remove the old apple id on 'new' refurbished ipad

I purchased a refurbished ipad mini from the apple store. It came with someone else's AppleID on it, and I cannot get it to sign in on my AppleID. Is there a way to remove the old account and replace it with mine, or do I need to return this?

  • I have an ipad2 and the screen shattered. It still works but is there a way to safely fix it without having to buy a new one?

We were on April vacation this past week and my ipad fell onto the road and shattered the screen. I can still get onto it and maneuver around my apps but the screen is spider webbed and shattered. I have heard their are screen kits you can but to replace yourself, but the reviews are mixed. They also say to be careful of the wi fi wires because you can severly screw it up. This was a huge purchase for me and I can't afford to get another one. What can I do? Best Buy says they aren't allowed to replace the screens from Apple products and I have heard Apple just sells you a new one at a lower cost. Is there a way for me to replace the screen myself?

Back it up befor you go to the Apple store for a replacement or sending it out for rapair.

  • Is there a way to change the order in which iTunes searches for new podcasts?

When I tell iTunes to update podcasts, it searches for them in the order that I have subscribed to them. However, most of my favorite podcasts I've started listening to only very recently, so on a day with a large number of new podcasts I have to wait for a few minutes before iTunes even detects and places them on the "downloading" queue. The sheer number of podcasts I am subscribed to makes unsubscribing from all and then resubscribing in a more optimal order thoroughly unpleasant. Is there a way I can reorder the priority queue for checking for new podcasts, so that I can click 'refresh,' grab my favorites right away, put them on my iPod Shuffle, and the leave the rest to download?

I'm not sure, but I think the change was using the font "Segoe UI" instead of "Tahoma", and maybe, Lucida Grande.
I haven't tried it, but I assume you can edit the fonts, which are specified in (basically) a text file (at least, for iTunes 10).
Make a backup of the file before you edit anything (or you can repair/reinstall if you mess it up). See the following post for some more info:
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=12226047#12226047
You'll want to edit the "font", not the "xp-font". I can't tell you what fonts will work.

  • Replace an old ipod on itunes with a new ipod

I want to buy a new ipod. But I already have hooked up 5 different ipods to my computer which I thought was the limit. Is there a way for me to replace my old ipod with a new one?

The 5 limit you are referring to is a limit of 5 authorized computers to play purchases. You can use as many iPods as you want.

  • HT1349 combining my old itunes with a new one

My computer crashed and I need to combine my old itunes  into my new one!

What do you mean by "iTunes"?  iTunes is a program that runs on the computer and there isn't really anything to combine  -- it's like saying you want to combine Word with Word.  Do you mean your library?  Do you mean you created a new AppleID and a new Store account?
Do you have a backup from your old computer?
